The Vampire Cat: My Substitute Teacher's Gone Batty

Rate this book
What a week. It's bad enough that fifth-grader Tracey Wilson is starting a brand new school where she doesn't have any friends, her teacher is a grouch, and (gulp!) it looks like she just flunked her first math test. But things get really weird when a scraggly cat jumps through the classroom window and talked to her. It seems that cat has escaped from a vampire who wants him back--or else!

Tracey thinks she's gone bonkers...until a creepy substitute teacher with funny teeth and long red fingernails take over the fifth grade. A teacher who looks a lot like a vampire!

Loved this book as a young girl! Did a recent reread and it was very clearly written for children and has some interesting plot holes and inconsistencies throughout. I would still read it with younger readers though.
