I got this as a supplement to help me appreciate a trip to Greece. Honestly, I thought the best part of the book was the introductory sections at the beginning. Really helpful review and overview of culture, religion, myth, symbolism, architecture. I found the actual reflections on the sites less helpful, though many simply didn’t apply. Even so, it’s worth it just for that first section.

I don't get how a book like this totally omits mention of the Greek island of Rhodes, which is a World Heritage Site, for crying out loud.
