Author of spicy romance novels! Lover of dogs, wine, and coffee. Loves to write books that pull at your heartstrings but never leave out the dirty parts!
3.75 stars⭐️ This was okay, but nothing too memorable. I liked both Luke and Savannah and they are cute and lovable as a couple, but the story was lacking and in the moments it felt too unrealistic. Also, a little spoiler, but her dad just comes to his house out of nowhere, all angry and demanding for her to move out, but we never even learn how he found out about that. He appears once at the beginning, and suddenly, by the end, he knows not just that there is something between them but also that they live together and where he lives. I thought it was going to be relieved later, but that didn't happen. Also, I wish that we had more scenes where they were happy and together. They finally end up officially together in the last chapter, and then we just get an epilogue.
The characters lacked some depth. I did like them, like I said, but they had like 2 personal traits, and that's it. I have to say that I liked the third book much more.
"He's so sweet. I can't believe he even thought about me." She underestimates the affect she has on people. She could change the world if she wanted to. Without thinking, my hand comes up to her leg and runs up and down the length of it. "Nobody could forget someone like you. You're too special." 😍
✨️teacher/student ✨️forbidden romance ✨️age gap 12y (he is 34, she is 22) ✨️spicy: 🌶🌶 ✨️the second book in the series, can be read as a standalone
I liked this book it was cute. I don’t know if I missed it but I don’t understand how her dad found out. Like he just randomly showed up. It was werid and again unless I missed it it just want explained which I didn’t like. Overall the book was cute and I love their relationship. Not absolutely amazing but pretty good, average. 3.5/5
I had the pleasure of ARC reading both books in the Giannelli Series- Love in Little Italy and loved the second book just as much as the first! I am obsessed with the Giannelli brothers😍
Luke and Savannahs story is different from Gabe and Alexis other than the age gap aspect. I don’t read a lot of forbidden romances but I loved this one, Nicole told Luke and Savannahs story beautifully. I loved the will they/wont they angst and the slow burn. Luke’s dominance and oof the spice🔥The way he spoke to Savannah and just really encouraged her was so heartwarming. You really see how much they both care deeply for their families. I loved all the winery vibes and the Giannelli family dinners were everything.
If you love an age gap forbidden romance this book is for you!
In Where You Belong we met the Giannelli brothers and was along for the ride of Gabe & Alexis’ story.
In Where We Met we get a closer look at Luke and whew. His mouth. Lord have mercy.
Luke takes on a job for the semester being a professor of an international business course at a local college. That’s when he’s introduced to Savannah. She’s in her last year of college and will be graduating at the end of the semester.
Luke is immediately smitten with her. As is Savannah with him. They both try to hide these feelings because they both know it’s wrong — due to him being her professor.
We go on a wild ride through the semester as they navigate these feelings and how to move forward.
Can they make it to the end of the semester.. or will they get caught?
I loved Luke in Where We Belong, so I knew I’d love this book.. I just didn’t know how much.
Savannah is so sweet. After losing her mother at a young age she doesn’t like to be a burden to anyone and it puts her in a questionable position.
Getting both Luke and Savannah’s POV was an added bonus to their love story.
Nicole became an auto read author of mine when I read Where We Belong & she’s outdone herself again with Where We Met.
This family series is my absolute favorite! I love their connection as a family and as supporters of each other, and ultimately as supporters of love!!
Luke & Savannah!! Ahhh!! Their story reminded me why I love, love. They had that instant response and attraction to each other, and getting to watch their connection and relationship blossom as time went on was so so perfectly done!! Savannah is such an old soul vibe from the very beginning, she just wants to finish school while hanging out with her dog and doing word puzzles. Luke is finally in a place in life where is he wants what is coming next and Savannah just might be the answer to that!!
These two are the perfect pairing like a good meal and the perfect wine!! The professor/student trope was done really well, in the back and forth of we want each other but we can’t have each other, and I appreciated that Savannah was mature. Her being mature allowed them to communicate well with each other and really enjoy their relationship together!!
I have so many good things to say about both this book and this author! Highly recommend for sure!! Excited for more from this family!!
Luke is serving as the interim professor of International Business for the semester, stepping in for another professor. As a businessman involved in his family's wine business, he is the middle son of the Giannelli brothers, hailing from a proud Italian family. He has an older brother, Gabriel, and a younger brother, Marcus. This narrative unfolds Lucas's tale. The heroine of this story is Savannah Davis, a senior in college and the eldest child of her father, who raised her after her mother passed away from cancer during her childhood. Her father has since remarried, giving her two stepsiblings and a stepmother named Veronica. Savannah believes that by not disclosing her financial struggles to her father, she is sparing him stress, even though this means living in a less desirable part of town. She and Professor Lucas share an undeniable connection. Despite his reservations about dating a student, he sees Savannah as an exception. Their relationship blossoms as she accompanies him on a trip to Italy. This captivating story compels me to revisit the tale of Alexis and Gabriel, Lucas's brother.
5 Stars on this amazing book! 2 of my favorite things in a book, age gap and professor/student 😏
I loved Sav and Luke from the beginning, throw in some Marcus and the need for him to make Luke jealous it was so hilarious. It’s Sav’s senior year at college and she thought the last semester would go smoothly until the professor came in and turned her life upside down in a good way. They tried so hard to keep things on a student/professor way but things get in the way by the attraction, the pull and a little trip away from everything. There’s a character in there that I didn’t like too much but she was needed so there wasn’t too much of angst in there. The dogs, the movie references, and of course his family, thrown in there, what’s not to love about this book! I cannot wait to read the next book of these brothers. Oh one more thing can we just say amazing dirty mouth on Luke and what is about mirrors 😏😜if ya know ya know.
Book two in the The Giannelli Series follows Luke and Savannah. It can be read as a standalone.
I loved these two. Their instant attraction and the friendship/relationship that grew from it was fun to read about. I liked the way the student teacher relationship was done. It was unique but still true to all the things that trope has.
The Giannelli family is so incredibly supportive and loving. We got a good glimpse of that from the first book but it was just magnified in this.
Savannah was so sweet and her story was heartwarming. I loved seeing her grow and see that she really is worth everything she wanted in life.
Luke, that man was on fire. He was dedicated and determined to make sure nothing bad would happen to her even if it was detrimental to his own happiness.
I loved them together and their chemistry and adoration for each other. This series is just getting better and better and I can not wait for the next book.
I’m always quite dubious of student/teacher relationships in books. After working in education myself, it always makes me feel a little uncomfortable but I have to say, I think Nicole handled this really well.
This is the second instalment of Giannelli series which sees Luke falls hopelessly for Savannah. He’s teaching one class for her final semester and both are aware that it shouldn’t happen. But the heart wants what it wants.
Give them their credit, they try their hardest to not let it become a thing until school is done and become friends. Their easy banter and friendship (along with their adorable doggos) gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling.
Then, BAM. Italy happens. All bets are off and boy, the mouth on that man! As per usual, Nicole manages a great balance of sweet and spice that left me reading this book in ONE sitting!
I was obsessed with this family after the first instalment and the fact I have to wait until winter for Marcus’s book has my frown lines growing frown lines. Get yourself immersed in this world, you won’t regret it 😉
I enjoyed Luke and Savannah's story. It starts out cute. Student develops crush on professor, denys it completely to herself and her friends. But when the professor starts to feel the same way, the story turns intense and spicy.
I loved how when they randomly bump into each other, they lay everything they feel out on the table. It made the scenes leading up to when they finally get together crazy with tension and a 'will they/won't they' vibe.
I would've loved to see Savannah tell Rebecca where to go and how to get there and find out who was behind her father finding out about her and Luke but I have a pretty good idea of who spilled the beans.
This is one of my favorite tropes! I love a good "forbidden" teacher and his student romance. And this one hit both those marks!
Savanah is a struggling student who doesn't like handouts and is not used to people caring much. Until Luke comes into the picture, that is.
Luke is a rich wine guy who travels the world and has it all. All except his sexy as sin student, who he knows is forbidden.
But what happens when Savanah wins Luke's contest and he gets to take her to Italy to learn the ways of business from the most romantic places!? All while drinking wine and eating amazing food?
The Giannelli Brothers have wicked tounges and spicy ways about them! I know the whole rest of the series will be great also!
3.5 Stars. I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I had pretty high expectations for this one. The premise of this book was one I don't read a ton of, but I enjoy when done right. There was the forbidden/taboo age gap/ professor/teacher relationship. While I thought the tropes were done really well and the third act conflict was unique and not expected, there was just something that fell a little short for me that I can't exactly pinpoint. Savannah was sweet. She never wanted to be a burden to anyone and was selfless. Luke was top tier. His support for Savannah was amazing. He was always trying to do the right thing. While this book wasn't necessarily for me, I would still recommend it for others who enjoy these tropes and am excited for the next book.
SPOILER ALERT AHEAD SO IF YOU HAVEN’T READ IT YET KEEP SCROLLING!
I felt like a large piece of the climax of this book was missing. Her dad shows up at Luke’s house to get her because he happened to talk to one of her friends fathers who said he room was still open this semester. According to the story all along no one knew she was living in that dumpy apartment except her and eventually Luke and no one knew she was living with Luke except the 2 of them so how did her dad find out all of that information? If I am wrong please comment what I missed.
I enjoyed this book. I always love a good age gap book and this book also had a student/professor forbidden relationship which only made it better.
I absolutely loved Savannah and Luke. The chemistry between them was instant and you could just tell the sparks were flying from their first interactions. They both tried to deny their feelings but their connection was just too strong. There was one twist in this book that I didn’t expect but I enjoyed it because it added a little bit of drama. I can’t wait for Marcus’ book next so that I can see more of Luke and Savannah.
If you enjoy forbidden romances with age gap and student/professor relationships then you need to read this right away. I typically prefer reading darker books so I enjoyed this book that was a little more lighthearted.
A perfectly delicious forbidden age gap teacher/student romance from Nicole Baker.
Luke is the businessman drafted in to teach international business. Savannah is the dedicated, hardworking final year student with ambitions to travel. From the moment their eyes meet across the classroom, these two have a sizzling chemistry. I loved the tension and build up as the attraction grew (and the sense of the forbidden).
As always, Nicole delivers a spicy, fun and chemistry packed love story. And this one had the added bonus of two dogs that get along too. I've never realised the love stories I read were missing MCs with pets. I adored how the dogs pined along with their owners.
The sequel didn’t really do it for me the way the first one did! The beginning had a lot of promise but there were just a ton of typos and silly grammatical errors that were distracting. There were also a ton of moments where I kept thinking “ok this is gonna be it some craziness is about to occur” and then nothing really happened. She set herself up with so many great opportunities but they all just fell kind of flat for me. I just think this story could have been a lot more than it was so I just ended up rushing to finish and then was a tad disappointed!
I am now officially obsessed with the Gianneli brothers! The author did a perfect job writting Luke and Savannah's story, and I can't wait to read the next book!
Their story starts with instant lust and physical attraction for each other. And while they both fight the sparks between them, because of their student/teacher relationship, they struggle to keep their growing feelings down. I loved the tension, the spicy moments, the jealousy and of course.. Luke's possessiveness!
I couldn't put the book down and I was so into the story! This was such a good book!
Anyone know where I can find a man who'd easily spend $500 on a coffee gift card? No? Dang it.
God I LOVED this book. Easily got me hooked, thanks whomever I saw on Instagram posting a synopsis of this AMAZING book. I owe u. (I could never measure up with this piece if art) I simply cannot express this book and how it got me. I feel alot with Savannah with not being open a lot and it feels really good to see authors write fmc like that. Sometimes I feel odder than normal when people are too open as I am not used to it.
The second book in the Love in Little Italy series is just as good as the first - obsessed with the Giannelli family! Luke takes an adjunct professor job filling in as an international business professor for one semester. It is then, that he meets Savannah, his student. She is a senior and will be graduating at the end of the semester. They both feel and instant connection but realize they cannot act on it. As they are thrown together more and more, can they hold off their feelings until the end of the semester?
Luke is such a good guy, and I knew I’d love him from the first book in the series. Savannah is sweet and mature, but has some things in her past to work through. The angst, the jealousy, the spice…I loved these characters and their chemistry! The story had a trip to Italy, dogs, and wine (again) – what’s not to like? Cannot wait for the rest of this series!🍷
Tropes: 🍇age gap 🍇professor/student 🍇forbidden romance
The story of Luke and Savannah was great. With as much sexual tension there was throughout the book, I was surprised they resisted as much as they did as long as they did. Savannah's story and past is very relatable and it definitely makes sense for how she handles things. Again the author does an amazing job showing the relationships with Luke's family and how they are there for each other. The love that is shown between all the characters in the book are quite amazing and relatable to.
A nice quick read. Although I did feel like there was something missing.
POV: Dual, 1st person. SERIES or STANDALONE: 2nd in series, can be read as a standalone. TROPES: M/F adult, age gap, college student/teacher romance. SIZE: 284 (last page) Kindle pages. CHARACTERS: Luke (35) & Savannah (22).
I loved Luke and Savannah's story. I like the fact they waited until after the semester to take their relationship to the next level. So glad Luke's PA Rebecca didn't start any mess. Looking forward to reading Marcus' book. However I would love to read a book about the sister Mia. It hurt when there is series about brothers and there is a sister(s), a story is never told about them. They're just supporting roles in their brothers' books.
I'm not usually a fan of teacher/student tropes, and this one didn't change my opinion on that. Personally, I did not feel the spark between Luke and Savannah. They admit their attraction immediately and then try to be "friends". There was really no slow burn or angst that is usually seen with this trope. The Bailey and Vino, their dogs, had better chemistry than the MMC and FMC.
The story just did not do it for me but I pushed on because I wanted to get to the other books.
Lucas (Luke) had agreed to cover a semester at University to teach about international business. He was looking forward to it until the first lesson and he catches Savannah’s eye. He is instantly attracted to her and quickly realises she has brains and beauty. Trying to stay away will be nearly impossible but she is his student and also younger than him!
I am not sure how the dad found out but I wish she would have stood up for herself a bit more and a bit sooner
Where We Met (ARC) By Nicole Baker ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶️🌶️.5
Thank you so much to Nicole for sharing this ARC with me! It was a TREAT. Let me start by saying I LOVE a good age gap romance and no one does it like Nicole! It was so tasteful and spicy and their connection was out of this world. Let’s break down the characters!
Luke Giannelli has stolen the top spot from Gabe as #1 brother for me 😍 he was so dreamy and so beyond in love with Savannah! He kept it professional in the lecture hall and HOT at home.
Savannah was a FUN and sweet FMC. Her strength and vulnerability with Luke was just 😍. She was bc brilliantly written and I couldn’t get over the cuteness of the scenes with her and the pups throughout the book.
I can’t wait to see the progression with the family through book 3. I know Marcus is going to be a handful!!
I love a feel good love story ! Luke and Savannah was perfect for each other. Luke is such a perfect gentleman in the streets and a master in the sheets ! I love Savannahs heart and I related to her in a lot of ways ! I really loved everything about their story !! & I can’t wait for Marcus’s story !
This is the second book in a series but can be read as a standalone.
Luke takes a temporary teaching job for one semester about international business and Savannah happens to be a student. Their attraction for each other is instant but nothing comes of it until they start running into eachother around and off campus and they form a friendship. They both know nothing can happen until the semester is over and Luke is no longer her professor but can they keep their lust at bay?
Tropes: Professor/Student Age Gap Millionaire
Spice: 🌶️🌶️
Overall 3 stars for me - good book, cute series in general, likable characters
