Desire #2 - An erotic romance by Carrie Cox. The second book in an addictive new series for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Kate Taylor has never met a man like Benjamin Easton before. Everything about the enigmatic billionaire dazzles her, his immense wealth, his gorgeous body and his seductive touch. After their last steamy encounter, Kate barely has time to catch her breath before Benjamin whisks her off to London where she has to deal with a difficult client and Benjamin’s no commitment rule. But worse than that, she’s developing stronger feelings for Benjamin. Could her feelings of desire be turning into something more?
Desire part two is 14,000 words. Don’t miss the other instalments of this hot five-part serial novel.
I must say, I am thouroughly hooked and have been tearing through the books in this series at an alarming rate. The chemistry between Kate and Benjamin is scorching hot and the sex scenes are panty melting good. When Benjamin whisks Kate off to London for a business trip (and to help further her own carreer) it seems he is taking thier relationship to another level. However, when he explains his "no comittment" rule, I could feel Kate's heart breaking. With her feelings for Benjamin growing stronger by the day, its no wonder she is now questioning everything and wondering if he's only using her for sex and once he's had enough will simply discard her for a shiny new toy. Despite all this, it seems that deep down Benjamin does have real feelings for Kate but fears true intimacy and won't allow himself to let his guard down. Hopefully, things turn around because right now I'm super frustrated with both characters. Nonetheless, I will say the sex scenes just keep getting hotter. Aside from his douchey ways, Benjamin is a grade-A lover and sure knows how to play Kate's body like a pro. Another short book (only a few chapters), but like I said before, I'm invested now and can't stop reading.
ONE STAR! Not because the story is bad or poorly written, because it's not, but just because it is simply too short. I read Desire 1 and this was good but read in one hour - I took a chance with book 2 but again, just too short - read in 45 - 60 minutes this book continues the story of Kate and Benjamin as they come to London together, I have no doubt that the remainder of the books in the series will continue along the same vein, that is a very good story but just too short and at £1.99 each that makes this novel VERY expensive compared to other Kindle downloadable e-books.
Whilst I like the characters very much unfortunately I will not be downloading the remaining three. My advise to the author/publisher: Lump all the volumes together, make one good sized novel and charge a regular novel price for it!
"Desire (#2)" by Carrie Cox is the second part of a five-part serial erotic romance and it starts with Kate, Benjamin and Colin going to London where she is going to paint a portrait of a business associate's wife, Lady Vastor, who also had an affair with the billionaire a long time ago. In this part Kate learns more about Benjamin's past relationships and his no commitment rule, but the problem is that she is developing stronger feelings for him.
Really enjoyed it, however there are only a handful of chapters in each of the books (1 to 5) so it was too short. Felt the ending was a bit rushed (book 5) and because of the fifty shades and crossfire novels, I found the storyline predictable. Still a good read though. I dont think its worth £1.99 for each book on amazon though. I think if the 5 were together in 1 book, i wouldn't mind paying £5 and that would make a good size novel.
