Pixie Problems
I’m a pixie.
If there was a level zero of supernaturals, I’d be in the sub-basement level.
I’m not particularly strong or fast or crazy smart, and my pixie magic is limited to little things that any basic human street magician can do.
Which means that pack of coyote shifters that’s hunting me? Yeah, I’m gonna need help with them.
I do the only sane thing I can do. I flee to Moonhaven Cove, and beg help from the local PNW council and the town’s sheriff. Which seemed like such a well thought-out plan . . . until the council lets Hux and his creepy pack of coyotes in.
So now, in between dodging homicidal coyote shifters, I’m working with the sexy star elf at his comedy club, helping the unluckiest leprechaun ever avoid carnivorous office equipment, hanging out with a genie, and becoming BFFs with the lion shifter sheriff who is apparently strangely attached to his strawberry yogurt. I don’t have time to fall in love.
But when Rhys looks at me, I forget all of the reasons why starting something with him would be a very bad idea. He’s tender, kind, flirty, and fun. He makes me laugh. And before long . . . I can’t imagine my life without him.

It was fun getting Rhys & Dice’s story and seeing familiar faces!
This book felt a bit like a fever dream, haha, and I can’t really remember what happened. But it was a fun, cozy paranormal urban fantasy with a sweet romance, and I had a blast!

Held by the Characters, Lost by the Story
I enjoyed reading this book, largely because of the cast of characters — they’re the main reason I plan to continue the series.
However, the plot execution felt scattered. While the first book seemed to have some gaps, this one swung in the opposite direction, with so much detail that it became tedious at times.
It also appeared that the events of this book unfolded alongside those of the first, but the timelines didn’t blend seamlessly.

I like this except for one glaring plot hole. Virion. This book overlaps the first in the series. While Virion was kidnapped towards the end of the first book and bought to Moonhaven Cove, in this one where we have the same timeline, he just shows up months before his 'kidnapping'. Towards the end of first book, Draven kidnaps him to track the vampire out for Mia, swiftly after Virions arrival, said Vampire shows and fight ensures, end of said Vampire. But in this book it really annoyed me as Draven complains for months in front of Virion about unknown Vampire threat to Mia, the whole reason he was apparently kidnapped in the first book was he could track the Vampire.

Well I'm back on my cozy kick and I need to finish some of the series that I started during the summer. I started with this one as I really enjoyed the first book Wanted Vampires Assistant, and i have to say it delivered giving me all the vibes and fuzzy feels. One of the things I loved is it's set in the same time frame as the first one so you get overlap of both books. I've decided I definitely would love to move to Moonhaven Cove myself.
Pixie Paradise Hart is on the run, trying to avoid a ruthless coyote shifter who has targeted her. Arriving in Moonhaven Cove, she seeks help from the local council, which would be fine until the pack are allowed in as well. Spending her days trying to avoid the creepy pack and homicidal Alpha Hux, she starts to make Moonhaven her home making friends with an unlucky leprechaun, a genie and the sheriff who happens to be a lion shifter.
And let's not forget the gorgeous star elf Rhys, who's kind, flirty and fun, and although Paradise does have time to fall in love, she finds herself increasingly drawn to him.
Paradise/Dice is absolutely adorable and really hard not to like, she's prickly, handy with a gun and has a wicked sense of humor. I feel like we could be friends. I like the fact that even though she states she's not a people person she pretty much makes friends wherever she goes and she's a tough cookie to boot.
Rhys is a star elf with a painful past but it doesn't stop him from being such a sweetheart. He's protective of his friends and Dice, and he's absolutely determined to break past Dice's barriers to get to know her better. Yep totally swoony.
Finn the local sheriff and lion shifter made me laugh on more than one occasion, especially when it comes to his strawberry yoghurt and romance novels. But the fact he takes Dice under his wing despite him trying to be surly and gruff just proved to me what a big softie he really is and have to say I kinda fell in love with him too.
And poor Lucky, the absolute unluckiest leprechaun ever is just the sweetest person to exist.
So if your looking for a sweet, cozy low stakes read featuring charming characters this is the book for you. Best enjoyed with your favourite hot drink. Loved it 😁

A light quick read, I enjoyed the basic storyline and the fun feel. Accepting it for the light read it is meant to be, I allowed myself to take pleasure in the snarky Pixie and the gorgeous Star Elf along with the varies paranormal characters who inhabit the magical town of Moonhaven Cove.
I did, however, have a couple problems with this second book of the series. First, certain elements did not line up within the timeframe of both this story as well as the first story. For example: after they closed the club at about 2:00 AM, it would make no sense for Rhys and Dice to go to an Italian Restaurant for dinner and have the place filled with people eating. Breakfast at a diner would have made more sense.
Second, a good edit would have done much to keep me in the story rather than bouncing me out at all-too-frequent intervals. This may be just me, but for anyone else who is bothered by the misuse of pronouns—I mean real, grammatical misuse—subject pronouns should not be used as object pronouns. Example from the book: “It covered he and I.” Wrong. “He” and “I” are subject pronouns. It covered him (not he). It covered me (not I). Therefore, the sentence should read: It covered him and me.
But, once again, this is just my own frustration. If things like this do not bother you, please read and enjoy Pixie Problems for the light, fun, paranormal romance it is.

This series has potential, but needs beta readers and a real good edit.
I like the characters and concept of this story, but like the first book I feel like we got a draft, or beta version rather than a final edited story.
There was no smooth relationship or scene progression, no real banter between characters. They grow close but you don’t have conversations or character building situations with any real detail. It annoyed me that the two FMC’s from book 1 & 2 were “friends” but literally never spend time together. They spend time with the men that surround them, and keep secrets from each other when they should be honest and support one another. Not cool. There was too much detail given to trivial little things that didn’t matter to the story and then there were times when something would happen that definitely needed some context or lead-in so you are basically teleported into a scene and have no idea how you got there. And don’t get me started on “Michael”. Seriously? It’s sentient fae magic, and literally a sign of a mate bond but is referred to as a “parasite in my brain” and she names it “Michael”. I just can’t.
The ending felt very rushed. Not like the end of a book.

Cute Series
I’ve enjoyed books 1 & 2 of this series. The stories cross over but since you get the same scenario from different perspectives it isn’t redundant or cumbersome.
Paradise Hart is a Pixie with bad luck until she befriends a very unlucky Leprechaun. Her troubles are mostly based on a coyote shifter stalker who isn’t held accountable for his actions in the human world. But in a magical town it only takes Paradises human restraining order for the town to prepare.
‘Dice’ makes friends, three new jobs, a new apartment, a new pet as well as a new love in the form of Star Elf Rhys.
There is enough excitement in the story to keep the storyline strong. There is one or two repetitive mental gymnastics moments of rehashing the romance angle as well as her insecurities and fears., other than that the story flows well and is enjoyable to read with plenty of humor mixed in with the emotions of new friends.

love this world! love these characters! must read them all!!!
My only complaint is I wish there were MORE crossovers between this book and “Wanted: Vampire’s assistant.” We are told they happen at the same time, I would like a little more of the scenes at the same time. Like the one dramatic scene at the club, I would have loved to know what Dice was doing while Mia was dealing with that scene…assuming she worked there… but perhaps the author didn’t wanna give away too much of that book’s plot in this book …still i like seeing a bit more behind the scenes Draven and the friend amazing ways he helps Rhys and Dice.

This book has everything book 1 was missing. I felt way more invested in the characters and their depth. I think because in book 1 Mia was so isolated because of the threats we didn't get to see the town much or meet the people.
I love how Dice made friends and saw so much of the town and business. Interacted with so many, I love Lucky, Nick, Finn, Cy, August, etc.
A few things I felt were missing. Dice was so excited about her grandparents moving but we didn't see them interacting with her, she also didn't introduce them to Rhys. We didn't see Dice interact with Mia at all in this book. I wish Mia met Lucky and we got to see more of both groups interacting more.

I read the first book in the series over a year ago, but I don't remember much about it other than I enjoyed it. A little more of the first book came back to me as I was reading this one. It was just enough to give me an unsettled feeling because this book is set during the same time period. It felt like looking at events from the first book from a different perspective, but the author expects you to remember the full description from the first book. Unfortunately, I forget books shortly after I read them, so reading this gave me the feeling that I was missing something. I probably won't finish this book unless I get the urge to reread the first book in the series.

love this book
This is such a fun read. I always like books that have tough but warm hearted female characters. Pixie problems is not just about pixie but a whole supernatural town that has great complex set of characters. By the description, I would love to live there. Take my word for it, get a cup of coffee or whatever your beverage of choice and sit down to enjoy the adventure in Moonhaven Cove.

Enjoyable read
Coming straight from the first book in the series, book two is better imo. It has a nice pace and smoothly follows the relationship of the MCs. I don't feel like we missed parts of their story. I will absolutely continue with this series and have already recommended it to my friends. This author makes me laugh, and I enjoy a good, clean romance with a happy ending.

This series is delightful!
This edition in the Moonhaven Cove series is even better than the first. The characters are lovable and fun, the plot is engaging and moves along at a good pace. A lovely escape to a magical place. Dusty is gifted at bringing the reader into what feels like the coolest friend group anyone could dream up.

Fills in the blanks
Rhys and Dice might just be considered side characters, but they do help Draven and Mia's story complete, and flow. Eventually, the relationship between Rhys, and his sister who died, is fully explained (have a box of tissues handy), which opens up his heart to true love with Dice.
Now to the author, where is book #3!!??!!

It’s a fun story, however if timelines bother you don’t read this with first book fresh in your mind. It’s suppose to happen at the same time as the first book however you meet characters in the middle of this book that don’t show up till the end of the first book and other small things that don’t mess with the first books timeline.

This was a fun read. It had unique characters and an interesting plot. I’m sure I missed a few things since this is part of a series and this is the only book I’ve read, but I didn’t feel like I was lost.
The narrator was great- my only complaint was that she didn’t change her voice much between the main characters so sometimes I was a little lost on who was speaking (the girl or the boy).

Love this series!
Loved this from the very beginning. These characters were so much fun Rhys and Dice made me laugh and swoon at the same time. They had their emotional baggage but it was fun watching them unpack it. The supporting characters were just as entertaining. You will love this as much as I did. Enjoy!

Dusty Rose did it again. She wrote a story that captures your attention by wrapping you in the story. This is such a cute story that I did not want to end. I love how her Moonhaven books are stand alone a in the series. Just a fun, light hearted clean read on the general market. I think every age could enjoy this.

a few continuity issues, but cute
Dice and Rhys are fun main characters, and the support characters are well developed and stand on their own. There are a few timing issues between Book 1 and Book 2 which are supposed to start out concurrent, but once you let that go it’s a cute story.

Can't wait for the next book
I've read the first book a number of times, and I'm sure that it will be the same with this book too. Really enjoyable characters, and a town you'd love to visit!
I've read the first book a number of times, and I'm sure that it will be the same with this book too. Really enjoyable characters, and a town you'd love to visit!

Another great story
Pixie Problems is another great story by Dusty Rose. I loved getting to know Dice and watching her romance blossom. There some very interesting twists along the way. Great clean story.

Fun fur friendship
Better then your average move to new town story! Great characters love inclusion of grandparents hope we get more of them in the future. Can't wait till they take out Mia s bad guys can't wait til next book!!

Fun!
What a fun book and series. It’s off the beaten path enough that I “needed” to reread book 1 to remind myself of the world, but oh, what a delight! I genuinely laughed out loud at parts and got teary eyed at other parts. Thoroughly enjoyed and would read again!

such a fun read
I loved Pixie Problems. I loved the friends she made and the story that was told. I can’t wait to read more about this town. I’m hoping for lucky next. Read it. It’s a quick fun read.
