Where most women would welcome love from a wealthy, good-looking man, Chicago-based investment manager, Dallas Marcel, is not one of them. She will never let a man control her life again. That includes handsome entrepreneur, Tyler Hollister. Dallas is on track to making partner and she’s not letting anything or anyone get in her way. But when her life is put in danger, and a Ponzi scheme ignites a SEC investigation of her firm, she realizes the one man she'd banned from her heart, might be the only one who can save her career and her life.
Tall, dark, and handsome, Tyler Hollister can have any woman he wants, but he only wants one - Dallas. When he starts talking marriage, she breaks things off between them, claiming she doesn’t want a romantic entanglement to hinder her plight to making partner. A chance meeting, six months later, brings them face to face and Tyler soon realizes the intense sexual attraction they once shared is stronger than ever. But he swore he was done with her. Except he finds out her life is in danger, and his protective instincts take over. Can he save her life without losing his heart … again?

This romance suspense novel is a fascinating read. Mrs. Cooper weaves a passionate story of love renewal for self-reliant women trying to heal from past heartaches. She reminds us that past love choices don't have to color your confidence in your own 'happily ever after'.
Dallas Marcel is a beautiful, intelligent, independent, investment manager that refuses to believe she's capable of finding a love that won't suffocate her career goals. It's an opinion many women embrace after an agonizing end of a damaging relationship. Some people believe `time heals all wounds' but Mrs. Cooper shows readers some cases call for the right man to restore what was broken.
Tyler Hollister is everything a woman could ask for; he's tall, handsome, witty, wealthy, and intelligent. He could have any woman in the world but his heart is set on Dallas. No matter how many times they argue or have misunderstandings, he's her constant --there when she needs him the most...loving her pass her pain.
You'll enjoy the dialogue, characters, and locale favor of Chicago and Milwaukee in 'Blue Roses'. (I personally can't wait to visit Milwaukee next year and see the city for myself.) The minor characters will have you looking forward to the sequential novels in the Reunited Series. I'm rooting for Quinn Hamilton's story to be told next. His love for Alandra was too strong to ignore the possibility that she could be nearby. But then again, Dallas' little sister Harmony Marcel is due for some happiness after being manipulated by cruel, cold-blooded con man.
'Blue Roses' will have you wondering if good-looking men will arduously pursue women that build 12-foot walls with barbed wire around their hearts. The answer is yes, but as Mrs. Cooper reveals, you must eventually trust a possible mate with your emotional scars. Dallas and Tyler face a ruthless plot to destroy Dallas' career in this novel, while dealing with their strong passionate connection. It becomes a real page turner once she returns to Chicago, so be ready to DVR any television shows once you get to chapter thirteen.
Purchase 'Blue Roses' and be riveted by the characters, intrigue, and passion Mrs. Cooper delivers. Dallas and Tyler have great chemistry and a foundation of friendship that made their love story so believable.
This was my first book to read by this author. When I tell you this story was amazing and exciting. They were on a roller coaster of love and death. You should read this story because you won’t be disappointed.
I hate when things get in my way of a great story.
Tyler and Dallas, was just a brilliant read.
Tyler is the man with the master plan, he is sexy, smart, a great business man, lover, fighter and your friend till the end.
Dallas is smart, sexy, stubborn (way too stubborn in my opinion lol!!) strong, great business mind, lover, fighter and friend till the end.
Did we think for one minute these two shouldn't be together? Of course not but as life sometimes will have it, it comes with broken hearts, broken dreams, broken promises and we hide away (emotionally from the world) and our facade is made of stone.
Tyler seeing Dallas again brought back great memories but also painful ones. When they see each other again it is not for a reconciliation but literally Tyler saved her life. And this is what actually brought these two back together. Which Dallas (bless her heart fought like her life depended on it) but not in the end did she realize Tyler was for her (thank goodness) she came to her senses in good timing.
Dallas was a wounded woman, who clawed her way back to a life and she would be damn if she would let a man who so much power over her again. She was a woman on a mission to making partner at her investment firm. Tyler was a lover and leave him man and then he was introduced to Dallas and he knew she was the one for him. But when Tyler asked her to marry him, Dallas ran like death was on her heels. And so they meet again almost a year later but under very crazy and dangerous circumstances. Thus Tyler saving her life throws them into a tale spin to stay ahead and alive of the person or persons trying to do her serious harm and even resorting to killing her if they have too. The question is why would anybody want to harm Dallas?
Here we are introduced to Quinn who is Tyler's best friend and will be headlining his own story in book 2 (which I have read and if you haven't I implore you to do so).
There was action, suspense, murder, attempted murder, exes, ponzi schemes. If you name it is was in this book. Author Sharon Cooper has a mind for writing incredible stories. If you haven't read the other books in this amazing series please do so, you will not regret it.
A blue rose is breathtakingly beautiful, unmistakably noticeable, and powerfully intriguing. That also describes Dallas Marcel, the main character of the novel “Blue Roses.” She’s beautiful, noticeable and intriguing. But she’s also annoyingly stubborn and independent to a fault. But she has a very good reason to be that way. Tyler Hollister is her knight in shining armor, the man that rescues her after a horrific tragedy that author Sharon C. Cooper hits you with in the first few pages. But Tyler is also her nemesis in a way because Dallas has a powerful sexual and emotional attraction to him despite the fact that she’s afraid to enter a serious relationship. If you want to know why she’s afraid, you’ll have to read deeper into the novel.
The theme that jumps out at me throughout the book is the complexity of a romance. Dallas and Tyler have love for each other. But the timing isn’t right. They are attracted to each other. But past issues are in the way. So many odds are stacked against them: sultry distractors, shady acquaintances, painful memories. And oh yes, danger is in the air as well. Time will tell if Dallas and Tyler can beat the odds.
Sharon C. Cooper weaved a truly interesting tale and I look forward to reading more of her work.
This novel starts off with a bang of action when the heroine, Dallas Marcel is hit by a speeding car. The driver flees the scene, and the hero, Tyler Hollister is the only one who takes charge and gets Dallas safely to the hospital. Dallas and Tyler have a history together, and soon their old feelings began to flame again.
The plot thickens when foul play is suspected behind Dallas' "accident". Tyler takes her to his home to recuperate. Virtually helpless, Dallas has to depend on Tyler and his sister for her every need. As you can imagine, such close contact is bound to stir up some sexual healing.
But Dallas has issues: Years ago, she was involved in an abusive relationship. She still feels the shame and anger, and she brings that baggage back into her relationship with Tyler (who has never stopped loving her). In the end, the mystery of who tried to run down Dallas is solved, and Tyler finally breaks through her defenses. Good story. Hot love scenes. Solid characters
What a rollercoaster. Fraud, ex husband, crazy family, loving family, dedicated friendship, and passion are the elements of Tyler and Dallas story. When you bound by your past the future seems unattainable. That is what Dallas struggled with . Tyler ever so passionate and loyal, had to go passed his rational mind and protect what he loved, Dallas.
Exciting story about overcoming your past, conquering and enjoying your present, and making preparation for the future. Sharon Cooper captured the true essence of love and forgiveness.
It's been a while since I read this series; it was just as intriguing as the first, second, and third time. The story was a well-developed tale about greed, romance, and second chances.
I'm giving this book four thumbs up, 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾, cause getting five is dang near impossible. This has been an entertaining series thus far. I read book #3 before book #1, but it didn't have much of a detrimental impact on the flow of the series. Probably because it's so well written and there are only fleeting mentions of the characters and no hint of the plot for the next book in line. To be honest, they could be read as standalone books, but it'll be more fulfilling if they're read as a series.
Sharon Cooper is an excellent storyteller and I"'ve never read one of her books and been disappointed. Plots, heroes, heroines, story continuity, EVERYTHING..on point. If you've never read her works, try them, you"'ll like them!!!
I wanted to give this novel 4 stars but Dallas took some getting use to. Her character was difficult to like in the beginning. I understand being hurt badly but you can only find love again if you take a chance. If Tyler was like her ex-husband Mark, I would hope an older and wiser Dallas would see the red flags from the start of their relationship.
Eventually Dallas was able to open up about her past which was the cause of her fears about relationships, marriage, kids, and true love. Once she did that, her & Tyler found their rhythm. This was good mystery romance. Some parts were predictable like Jerome being the bad guy. I'm reading Truth or Consequences (Malik and Natasha's story) so far so good.

A really good read! A mix of love, laughter, mystery and intrigue is the story of Dallas and Tyler in Blue Roses. It is amazing how the love of a man is equal to the protection of that man, even when you have run from his love because of your past. That was Dallas' high-quality gift and though it took a while, she let down her guard and accepted it. Truly enjoyable read.
This book highlighted the serious effects of dysfunctional family life and trauma. Love and sincere caring is the panacea for matters of the heart! Great story! Great love story with some interesting twists! ......then there is that dead!y sin....greed! Must read! Looking forward to book 2! Two thumbs up! 5 *****!!
Loved the story. It was written well, but just not enough spice for me. This is the second book I've read from this author and I guess that's just her style. Please if you like a great story line and don't care about the spice level, this would be a must read for you.
I thought I had the plot solved when the ex husband mentioned that "Dallas & Tyler" is married. But, the author kicked things up and brought on the suspense. The rollercoaster concerning the SEC investigation makes me love the author's writing✍🏾. Reading other series, I knew that romance and intrigue go together sometimes.
Alright Ms Cooper, I see you. I love the back and forth bickering between Tyler and Dallas, it was hysterical. Once they stopped long enough to really see one another is when they allowed love to take the lead. The whole David and the SEC was a bonus and I was enthralled. Now, the Hollisters are traveling down the path to FOREVERMORE!
Romance books can often get tiring, so I love it when an author my rd it up with some mystery and suspense. This was the perfect combination! On to the Rendezvous!
I enjoyed the tension between Dallas and Tyler. It kept me on edge wondering when and how it would be bridged. Just the right amount t of suspense and character development to give life to the supporting characters.
I jumped for joy when Dallas finally came to her senses. Tyler was everything she should have wanted or needed. I loved the drama secondary to their story.
I was on the edge of my seat the first time I read "Blue Roses", but the second was now exhilarating. I love all the main characters and cannot wait to read their books. This a very good read and Dallas and Tyler deserved all the happiness in the world. Keep writing and I will reading.
