Tansy Bell, is the middle daughter of the three Bell sisters. She has always been a little different, even for a Bell. A chameleon, she can change her appearance and personality to blend in almost anywhere. She uses this talent to bring some of the worse criminals in the world to justice.
Mak ‘Tag Krell Manok is the wild one of his four brothers. He is known for his hot temper, fierce strength, and skills as a warrior. Few men in any galaxy dare to challenge him and live. Frustrated at his failure to find females compatible with a Prime male, he returns to his home world only to discover his oldest brother has found his bond mate – in an unusual species known as a human. What is even more astonishing is his reaction to an image of his brother’s bond mate’s sister.
Mak has set a new course – for Earth and the female that stirs his blood to fire! But first, he has to find her. Next, he has to convince her she belongs to him. If all else fails, he will just take her, after all, she is delicate, fragile, and no match for a Prime warrior.
What he doesn’t expect is to find her in trouble and fighting for her life. Now, he must save her before it is too late. But, even then there is no guarantee that she will come with him. For this small, fragile female has the strength and determination of twenty Prime males and values her independence.
Mak is about to learn that big trouble can come in very small packages and size is often a misconception because there is one female in the universe not afraid to stand up to him – even if she is afraid to love him. Can he keep her alive long enough to realize she is the perfect mate for an untamed warrior or will the men determined to kill her take not only her life but his as well?

Tansy’s Titan by S. E. Smith Book 3 of Cosmo’s Gateway series. Science fiction romance. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the set. Tansy’s is an undercover operative. When things go wrong and Tansy calls home to say goodbye, Cosmo manages to send Mak via a portal to Earth and Russia to help. And what a warrior he is. Mak will protect Tansy with everything he has.
Galaxy traveling, spies, bullets and destined mates. An adventure that’s filled with undercover escapes and dangers and time taken for some very sexy breaks. The aliens aren’t purple or blue (this series predates those) but they are large and domineering. A bit of humor can also be found in this book. S. E. Smith writes strong and independent women and males that like to take charge and be protective at the same time.
Do you know what I hate? I hate when a woman or man is sitting in front of a person with a gun pointed at their head telling them that they better watch out because they're going to kill them. Um, empty threats much?! This drives me bananas. So of course Tansy does this. The story itself was pretty good. The ending with the president was kind of wacky which did not fit the message they were giving him. I think it should have been written more serious but that's my opinion as a reader, not a writer. Overall, the story was pretty good. 3-1/2 out of 5 stars.
It's been years since I've read this series and now that there are new books in the series I thought I'd re-read them from the beginning so I would have the story fresh in my mind. This second read through and I'm finding that I still enjoy it. I thought maybe my taste may have changed and I wouldn't like it, but I still do. I enjoyed reading g about the 7 foot Mak and how he finds his bond mate in Tansy.
Tansy was brought to life with all the grit, determination, fire, strength and passion that I was expecting from her. S.E. Smith gave me a heroine that was great. She got more action than most heroes. She got shot, stabbed, choked, ect more than most tiny action/adventure romance have in multi volumes. This was just wonderful. I loved Tansy. I loved Mak more. He was strong, sexy, and determined but he was also a man not sure. He worried if he would be appealing to his mate. Would she except him as he was. Let me just say this. I listen to this one twice in a matter of weeks because I wanted more of Tansy and Mak. I may have had a few issues with the fact that we did not get to see much of Prime. We did not get to experience the rejection of Mak. We only heard about it. Even if it was a flashback or memory incorporated in to show the rejection would have been helpful. Either way. I loved this one.
Narrator Suzanne Elise Freeman has done it again for me. She gave me the rich, strong character with their vibrant natures on full display. This was a full on experience.
"Getting shot sucked, Tansy decided, getting shot twice sucked even more." *Quote from the book.
This book starts out with Tansy sitting down thinking. Before you think she's some place chilling, think again. She's in a foreign country freezing her butt off and her thoughts are anything but tranquil.
Needless-to-say she's not having a good day and we're dropped into the middle of the action that keeps on coming. Add one huge, badass alien to the mix and things really start to get interesting.
I adore both Tansy and Mac. They easily burrowed their way into my heart.
Great world building and a fantastic story. I love this series and can't wait to read more.
Tansy? Frágil, delicado e obediente? 😂😂
From the first two books, Tansy was the Bell sister I was most interested in reading about. Her sisters, Tink and Hannah, had made her out to be this female James Bondian style character, out doing super secret, save the world type things. It's a toss up whether this is her book or Mak's. By the time we are at the beginning of this book, we have actually gotten to know Mak a little bit, but only know Tansy through her sister's descriptions.
I liked that Mak respected her strength and skill very quickly. He was much less the Alpha-hole his brother was in book 1. For all his super scary tough macho guy facade, he was much more in touch with the female mind. I think it had to do with his relationships with his mother and sister to be honest. There was a lot of action and suspense going on as Mak and Tansy are playing cat and mouse with some really evil bad guys. There was still some over the top, ultra convenient moments that happened occasionally, but the story also has some strong fantasy elements, and I decided to suspend believe and just go with it. Overall, the action was well plotted and flowed really well. You can definitely see the progression of the author's writing skills from book 1.
I am glad that I have stuck with this series; it just keeps getting better and better. I gave this book 4 stars.
Audiobook Jukebox and Blackstone Audio provided me with this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Mak & Tansy lived up to the picture I had of them in my head from the first 2 books. Actually they surpassed that image as soon as they started interacting. Definitely enjoyed them learning who the other really is and treasuring that knowledge.
Some earlier characters from the previous books also make appearances as do new characters. Like all of the earlier S.E. Smith novels, primary & secondary characters have such vivid personalities that I want to see more of them. I really do want all their stories now, but will wait patiently as other earlier characters have been promised their spot in the limelight - Carmen, Star, Riley vs Merrick, Derik, Cosmos. Actually I would also like more with Teriff & Tresa and Tilly & Angus.
The story and characters hold my attention completely throughout the book. Plus S.E. fine tunes her writing with each book. Overall, I definitely recommend Tansy's Titan as an interesting, appealing read that's over too soon. Off to read it again.
This was fun Science Fiction Romance romp with a 7 foot tall alien warrior hero and a kickass operative human heroine. The violent world she lives in is gritty and brutal. She never changes her deadly ways which is grand. The hero is gonzo for her in that fun fated mate way. The love story is action packed.
This is the first book I have read in series so I don't know too much about the alien culture and world and that part of the story is pretty minimal here. Her sister's backstories are interesting as is that of the genius best friend (male) who gets the next book and her parents. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books and bought the first one.
This isn't a serious book despite some of the dark subject matter of human traffic (the earth kind) but it is a good light SFR read if you like that kind of thing and I do.
There is a HEA of course, and I loved to read this story, but, some things are a little disturbing. We'd like to know more at the end of the book about Tansy's mission. Some details doesn't fit for me or were missing. I'm a curious girl so I like to know everything !
This is the best book so far in this series. Tansy and Mak are one hell of a pair! They match each other in every scene. I love the underlying plot. I also love it that this series is turning out to be more of a serious one rather than just a light read. It's amazing how the author comes up with these new world order. I love it. I'll be reading more from her.
This is the third book in the series and we get to meet the middle Bell sister, who just happens to be a US Government operative and in a job that she THOUGHT she was hiding from her family. Apparently, the events of Hannah's life when they were younger, impacted Tansy quite a bit and changed the direction of her life. She is trying to make a difference and do something about some of the evil of her world so that things like what happened to Hannah do not happen to more young girls.
What I liked about this book was the way that this pair was so well suited. Mak is a warrior, but not just your normal warrior - he's over 7 ft tall and HUGE - but he is also intimidating to both men and women on his OWN planet. His fear had always been his fear of never being able to find a mate that would be able to see beneath his exterior to the man beneath. Well, he definitely gets that with Tansy. That women is tough as nails.
We are also getting to know the men a little bit better and we also are getting to see how RITA - both RITA One and RITA Two are having fun meddling and matchmaking (for those not yet reading this series yet - RITA - both of them - are AI's so it's even funnier to watch them work their magic!)
Anyway, another fun story, though this one had quite a bit more drama and suspense. There is also an over arching story arc developing in addition to the couple that is spotlighted in each book. There is a leak somewhere and it is putting our people at risk.
So, off we go to the next book. It looks like Cosmos has some drama coming up on his own....
Tansy's Titan(cosmos' Gateway book 3) by S.E.Smith
This third addition of the series is filled with life threatening injuries and evil dangerous people.Who are after Tans y who is deep under cover for the government but is now become a mate to an alien who is determined to protect her from them and herself. It's never easy when it comes to the Bell sisters and now everyone is at risk unless the back guys are eliminated and the President is delivered the truth to prevent more tragedies from happening. Everyone is going to be totally enthralled with everyone of the characters in this series,I highly suggest you want to have them all to enjoy repeatedly!! 🌹😍 S.E.Smith delivers a totally well rounded story with no cliffhangers. So enjoy them with me!!
Love this series. This is the third book in the Cosmos's Gateway series. This is Tink's middle sister Tansy and Mak's story. Mak has be obsessing over a picture of Tansy, who he feels like she is his bond mate. Tansy is so strong, stubban, who works for our government. Hot steamy romance, action and humor, great characters what else could you want! Tansy and Make were a perfect couple. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. This is a fast paced sexy ride through two worlds of lusty beings and earth spies. I HIGHLY recommend this one to everyone! Suzanne Elise Freeman did amazing job with Tansy and Mak. She brought them alive. I can't wait to read/listen to the next book. Keep up the amazing work!
After Hannah’s story, we meet the third sister in the Bell’s family. Tansy is the one living the shadow, since her sister’s trauma, she gave herself a mission, clean the Earth of the filthy underside of the world. But she seems to have reached her own limits and is now running away. Mak is a titan, even in his own world, being feared just because of his appearance. But to scare Tansy it will take much more than one big b@d@ss of an alien. Each one is the perfect match for the other, they are stubborn and scary in their own way. Plus we have a glimpse of who is really Cosmos, the nerdy best friend of Tink. One more good story in this series.
Mak has always been crazy, and now he’s crazy in love. He took one look at Tansy Bell’s picture and he knew she was the one for him. He steps through the seemingly magical “Gateway” invented by the brilliant multi-millionaire Cosmos. He tracks Tansy down in the middle of a very dangerous situation and, with the help of others, he helps her. This is another exciting installment in the series. They’re all exciting, fun to read (who doesn’t like being breathless?), and hot, hot, hot! I love these books and can’t wait for the next one. ♥️
Great storyline. I love the total kickass character "Tansy" she won my heart from the start. All of the characters are definitely interesting and keep you wanting to read all of their stories. This series has been one of the best ones I have read in a long time. Recommending - Definitely.
This book was by far the most action packed in the series. The stubbornness of the women is endearing and the protectiveness of the menfolk is admirable but the action in this book blows both those things out of existence in this read. I enjoyed the difference. Woman on the offense was a nice switch!
Being a secret agent for the U.S.A government on assignment in Russia, was dangerous. Then an Alien showed up, all seven foot of him muscles and all. He says she is his bondmate! Untill they touch each other she thinks he has gone mad. Then a tingling in her hand shows she has markings. This espionage love story is excellant. Can't wait for follow on stories.
I am absolutely loving this series. Even though it involves aliens swooping in to save their earthly bondmates, the author has done a great job of building strong characters in both the male and female roles. Through her books, she explores the ability to compromise when needed while still supporting ones mate. There is not enough I can see about this series except ... read the series.
Tansy works for a federal agency trying to bring justice to several major criminals responsible for the murder of her first love. Mac is an alien who desires his soul mate and has fallen for a photo of Tink’s older sister. After pestering the council Mac goes through the portal to rescue his bond mate who is petite and fierce. Together they are a force to be reckoned.
I liked this one a little more than the last mainly because Mak and Tansy worked together, like towards an actual goal. Could there have been more cooperation? Sure but I felt enough of the interaction was genuine and added to both the character's motivations and feelings. Very interested to read more about Cosmo's story in the next one :)
Mak was determined to find his bond mate. Finding her wounded made him want to hurt everyone around her. Tanya was used to being alone. He job was dangerous and she tried to keep Mak away. Another great story in the Cosmos' Gateway series.
If you like the escapism of a sci fi book then this is for you. Hysterically funny and sexed up human family who end up on another planet. All part of a series which is highly entertaining.
S.E. Smith has captivated me. I've read three books in this series this week, and I'm about to start reading the fourth book in the series now! I found myself laughing(loudly) out loud at 4:30 this morning! Tansy and Mak are hilarious! Next!
