The final test is here. The war is no longer a worry of tomorrow, but a reality of today. Turning back is no longer an option. Maybe it never was. It is time for Alexa Montgomery to look fate in the eyes. Death waits there for certain. The only question is... for who?
H. D. Gordon is the author of several fantasy series with strong female leads.
She is the mother of two amazing daughters, and a lover of nature. She believes our actions have ripple effects, and in the interconnectedness of all things.
H. D. spends her time with family, eating desserts, and taking strolls through the forests of New Jersey.
You can't stop thinking about this book after finishing it. It takes awhile for it to resonate.... and I love that I can keep updates my reviews so lol, here is the new one....
Review from 12/28/12
I am to close to this series so I really can't review it anymore. I work with H.D. Gordon but that started because I was her biggest fan, still am. But I am so close to the series now and I guess I shouldn't review it.
But I also purchased it so I should get to put in my two cents. So here it is....
The is no category or genre that we can properly box or label H.D. Gordon into, she simply is just a brilliant writer who creates the most amazing worlds I can escape to. Whatever the subject matter is I don't mind, as long as Gordon has dreamed it up, I am up for the adventure. Read The Alexa Montgomery Saga if you want an inspiring journey that will make you experience just about every emotion. I laughed (quite a bit), was outraged at our villain, I loved with the characters, and in turn loved them as well. I was completely disgusted and horrified when those were the appropriate situations. The twists and turns and pulse pounding action kept me reading into the wee hours of the morning and I was continually shocked and blindsided. Gordon's unique style of writing keeps the books' pacing where I felt like the ebook page turning feature wasn't turning the page fast enough. And oh boy did I cry with them and for them.
Every single one of H.D. Gordon's books shows her growth as a writer and the continued advancement of the mastery of her craft. I know she would disagree but this saga is a masterpiece. And it's Gordon's denial of that statement, that keeps her books getting better and better. This saga is a true piece of art and you can feel her passion in every word.
I really need more stars to rate her books.
So thank you H.D. for taking a chance and being brave enough to share your unique world with us, I loved every minute of the epic quest.
I purchased this book from the Amazon US site, I also received the beta version from the author in exchange for my honest opinion, I did not receive any compensation for writing this review. And As I said I also work with H.D. Gordon.
Review from 12/18/12 Just finished the beta read
Wow
I'm speechless
How does she surprise and shock even me?
How is she able to make even me cry?
I'm too close to this series. I can't even review it anymore but this Saga is a masterpiece.
It fits in no category or label I can think of, It is simply H.D. Gordon.
You never know what's going to happen in her world because we find out right after she does.
I was able to be a beta reader for this fourth installment of the Alexa Montgomery Saga, thank you so much for that H.D. Gordon and Nicole from Share-a-Read. Even in it's beta stage, it was lovely, nay, fantastic. I am continually surprised and enchanted by H.D.'s writing. And to think that this series and Joe were her first forays into writing... just WOW.
The complexities of the world created around Alexa is staggering yet reading and finding yourself transported into the pages of the story is effortless. The mythology alone is unique (in my opinion) and seems to expand in a logical fashion with each book. For those of you familiar with Ilona Andrews- it's Ilona's level of detail without the initial shock to the system. Alexa and Nelly both are still 'young' women but have both been thrust into an unimaginable scenario.
I simply must also mention the detail and attention shown to the characters, even some of the side/supporting cast. Again, wow. I am sometimes worried about 'being in the head' of too many characters in the same book, but my fears were laid to rest. I could almost hear the characters whispering in my ear and have come to love or at least understand them all better. It became nice to peek inside the inner thoughts of some characters only encountered through other characters previously. Still firmly Team Kayden and always will be! And such magic when her left eye twitches. I just love that!
As previously through this series, I would recommend this for the more 'adult' end of YA. While compared to traditional romances, this would still seem very tame by comparison. However, there are some heady morals, politics, issues... it's just so involved with one seemingly small piece of the puzzle having this larger domino effect.
The only thing that drives me maybe a hair batty, and have a love/hate relationship with is those endings. I reached the end and was like, "this is part 1, right? Right? Oh, good, I was right. Wait. No. No, no, no. You didn't! Thank goodness you didn't. NONONONO, YOU DID! Why, why, why. Beautiful, brilliant, but all the same I don't wanna talk about it right now. I might hurt my Kindle." The saving graces: the books are just that good, so forgiveness is easy to dispense for the endings. Well... mostly. You might have to give me a few days on that forgiveness.
I highly recommend trying the series if you enjoy YA urban fantasy with a kick-butt heroine. I have yet to give any of H.D. Gordon's books less than 4½♥'s.
My review is based upon my beta read and second re-read of the final. I did receive it for free, but have not taken any compensation for my review. My thoughts are my own.
With Coldplay plaing in my head and tears in my eyes, I say goodnight to this series forever changed by reading it. My review to come.

SUMMARY (50 words or less)
I’m still not sure what to say about this book. My heart aches but in the same way I feel what happened realistic and true to the story. I can pretend in my mind that the final chapters didn’t happen. I can have things live on blissfully in my mind.

Writing this review is bittersweet. I absolutely fell in love with this series and the characters therein, but it came to a necessary end. You have to love a book that can punch you in the gut in the last chapter. It was not at all what I was expecting, but then, why read a book if you know exactly what's coming?
As I have said in all my reviews for this series, I love H.D. Gordon's writing. She has a way with words and is able to take this complex storyline with so much going on and make it smooth and beautiful. She has quite an imagination and brings it out well with her words.
It was difficult to watch Alexa go through this book. She was so very young and innocent in so many ways, yet had the weight of the world on her shoulders. Everyone looked to her to fix their problems, knowing what the outcome would be, while she struggled with her own inner turmoil. I loved Kayden all the more for being her rock and sticking with her even though he knew the most probable outcome.
The story overall is rather dark. It tells a tale of life and love and loss and asks the question, how much are you willing to sacrifice? For some, the answer is everything.
I've thus far enjoyed Alexa's journey, and apart from some bad editing choices and the like the story has been wonderful.
This book was poorly done. The characters were not true to their form, and I got bored because I became so far removed from them, so I stopped really caring what happened.
**********SPOILERS AHEAD******** Half way through the book both Alexa and Nelly start dropping the F-Bomb, out of nowhere, they just start swearing like troopers. and then after a few chapters- they stop. VERY out of character.
At one point Alexa says "I would not only be unable to protect Nelly, but I would moost certainly be unable to protect myself" She put HERSELF as being more important?? No!
Soraya is supposed to be this tough little cookie, and she starts a particularly adult spoken inspiring speech with "that bad man" (the king)
Again Italics are used in the stupidest places. RIGHT is italiced 4 times in one section. We get it. it's RIGHT not WRONG.
And what the hell happened to Alexa's monster?? It was scared to walk over ice?? and worried about taking on 30 fae? And suddenly Alexa wanted to drink the blood rather than just spill it.
Alexa and Kaydens relationship simmers out into the background and becomes a bit meh. They seems to only want each other to disctract from the world around them. And then- Kayden dies. But we don't seem him die through a bit epic horrid scene. We see him die through the looking glass of a sorceress who claims to be hardcore, but leaves the revenge to Alexa at the lest minute. But not only is it don't through the looking glass, but through a vision through a looking glass. it was a "and then i woke up" moment. I felt cheated! And then, we went through the whole thing again but through Alexas eyes - but by then I had seen it and didn't care, it wasn't a shock and didn't make me upset at all. The moment had been ruined.
Nelly kills her sister out of compassion and love- the goodbye was full of ...'s and POOF just like that the King is dead, his warriors are dead, Alexa and Kayden are dead. and Soraya marries a random character from the beginning of the book which to me sparks a 'whatever' suddenly people are accepting of the outcasts and all the badies are dead. And Nelly ends up living- despite the prophecy (which no one ever addresses)- a relatively sad life without her sister, and occasionally feeling good with Tommy around.
***end spoilers***
All in all I stopped careing what happened, which is strange for me, as I started off really wanting to find out what happens, but the story just slipped away and the characters were so out of whack. It took me 2 weeks to finish reading, as I could only be bothered reading it in my lunch break.
I really hope one day this is re-written (and re-edited) with gusto and more depth, as this could have been amazing

I felt sick, and I cried, and I couldn't even...just OMG. This is how you end a series. Redemption is just...I don't know. The author ripped my heart out, stomped on it, put it in a blender, and then laughed at me. I was anxious going into this one, because I knew something bad was going to happen. I wasn't expecting this level of heartbreak though. This entire series revolves around a prophecy of a girl saving the supernatural world, but also meeting her untimely end. I always had hope that Alexa and Nelly would find a way to defy the prophecy like every other series out there, but I was still nervous as heck. With good reason.
I normally hate books that alternate between first and third POVs, but I think it works really well in Redemption. We still get Alexa and Nelly's first person accounts, but then it bounces around to various third person characters. This just upped my anxiety, because this suggests the possibility that both narrators could die but still have the story move forward! It was torture! I never felt confident that anyone was going to live until the end, and those POV shifts kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat! I was a big bundle of nerves the entire time, and then that ending killed me.
There was also a writing device included that usually bugs me in books and movies, but again, it worked way too well for Redemption! I can't say what it is, because it'll spoil something huge, but OMG! For a good chuck of the story I was just thinking "why is this happening?!" It was all too much, but then there was a twist. I was relieved, because that twist that gave me hope! Unfortunately, it was false hope! As the big climax drew closer, I held onto that hope, only to have my soul crushed.
Redemption is a devastating ending to a fabulous series. The only negative I have is that I noticed more typos in this one than the other three books, but really, who cares? The story was intense, emotional, and holy crap amazing! There is still originality in the vampire genre! Also, authors need to take note on how to properly end a series. Sunshine and rainbows aren't always needed. A bit of soul destruction works just as well.
I finished reading this book at 1 am - I just couldn't put it down! After finishing it, though, I needed some time to think it over, to process & yes, to grieve... I fell in love with this series from the very first book & have been eagerly anticipating every book since. When I got Redemption I was both totally excited to finally see where Alexa's journey would end, but I was also filled with sadness at the prospect of saying goodbye to characters that I've grown to love. HD has created characters that you can't help but feel for - I laughed, cried, cringed, feared for them & rooted for them. I got so emotionally involved that I still feel like crying when I think about it... That ability to so capture a reader's attention & emotions is truly a sign of a gifted writer!
I want to review the last book but I don't want to ruin anything by letting any spoilers slip. What I can say is that I think HD was true to her heroine in the end. I enjoyed this series so much & I want to encourage anyone who hasn't read it yet to jump into this amazing world & experience Alexa's quest for themselves - I can't even begin to do it justice in a review.
Thank you, HD - you have a fan for life in me & I look forward to many more journeys from your pen!
The Alexa Montgomery Saga has everything you could want in a paranormal series: plenty of action, a great romance, a kick-ass heroine, and a supporting cast that you really care for. This is one of those few series that I've felt very invested in what happens to these characters - Gordon has that magic that draws you in and makes this world you're reading about live and breathe. Gordon manages to keep the story fresh in "Redemption" with exciting new characters (I llllove Surah) and, of course, twists that you don't see coming. I don't want to spoil anything, but suffice it to say that this is a high note of the series and it has a real tension that you can feel building throughout the novel. If you haven't picked up this series yet, do it now, and put these excellent books at the top of your reading list.
Wow! "Redemption" is a difficult review for me to write because everything I want to discuss would involve me revealing spoilers and I refuse to do that to others. So, what I can say is that this book is intense and intriguing. The ending left me breathless,; yet, it was oh so fitting. I applaud H.D. Gordon's determination in not giving in to what her fans may have wanted; but, staying true to her vision. I can honestly say 95% of the authors out there would have caved on this issue. With that being said, Redemption was a great ending to a great series.
I will sum this book up with one word and its brilliant. I don't even have the words to express just how much I loved this book and hate to see this series end although I will say the author ended it right. H.D. Gordon is such an amazing writer that I can't help but to gush at all her books. Her writing style is just so unique and like nothing out there. This series has always been one of my favorites because of the strong heroine she created in Alexa. The author also just knows how to tell a story with ease.
Alexa has grown so much throughout this series and I can't believe how strong she has become. She would to just about anything to keep her sister Nelly safe. I loved seeing her grown and stand up for herself and seeing her and Kayden together made my heart swell. They are just such the perfect couple and I loved everything about them together. They just had such a pure and sweet love even with all of Alexa's snark. I also loved how much Nelly has learned to not need Alexa so much for everything. She truly grew to be an amazing heroine too.
This book had me glued to it from the beginning. I couldn't wait to see how this story would end. I have to say that I had tears streaming down my face in parts of this book. This book took me on a serious emotional roller coaster ride from dealing with shock to disbelief in some parts and of course the sadness. The author really did a wonderful job of tying up this series though and left nothing out. It isn't often that I am truly happy with how an author decides to end a story but I was really satisfied with this one. It was everything I wanted and more. The author really is truly talented and I can't wait to see what she does next. I highly recommend this book as a must read that lovers of a truly amazing story, great friendships, action and romance. You will definitely not be disappointed with this book.
After indulging in a 3 day lust of "The Alexa Montgomery" series, this was an absolute treasure - even with the predictive ending (OMG couldn't Ms Gordon just have left this out??!!).
However, dealing with both Alexa and Nell and their inner 'monsters' left me breathless and shaken and not really knowing how they were going to be able to survive at all! The line between Good and Evil is always narrow, and the introspections both girls faced was beautifully done. Kayden proved to be the epitome of a tragic hero, and although he was arrogant and distant in the first book Blood Warrior, he became more and more honourable (if that was even possible in the first place) and fiercely determined to be with Alexa at any cost.
At least the bad guy got his just desserts, but the price of that was really too much for me. I don't normally feel upset and distressed at the end of a book, but that was just how it was.
Aside from all that, the four books in this series are quite outstanding. I found the pacing consistantly fast, which held me in thrall and totally glued to my Kindle. The characters were varied and well drawn, and the descriptive passages immediately formed pictures in my head (even the gruesomely bloody ones!!). An outstanding achievement EVEN WITH the tragic ending. Loved it!!
This series is so many things. You will always find action, intrigue, conspiracies, secrets, and romance. You will always find yourself turning the pages eager to get to the end. You will fall in love with the characters and their world. You will care about what happens to some while you'll want to hurt others. You will always be surprised. You will always be left in awe. You will always feel.
The last book had all of the above and so much more. It is a book about the ultimate sacrifice and the purest love. In the end you will realize what you should have realized from the beginning... It has always been about the love shared between Alexa and Nelliana. Everything else was secondary.
Redemption ended just as it should have. It is sad to see these characters go but I appreciate the fact that the author ended it when she did. You will not be disappointed.
Once again I find myself really happy that I happened to come upon this series by chance. It must have been fate. ;-)
This is one series that should definitely be picked up by more folks. For those that wait until all the books come out before reading a series, now is your chance, because all the books are out. Jump on Amazon and get them...NOW!
Author provided a copy of Redemption for tour purposes.
Yup, I cried. I sat on the train on my way home from work and damn near balled like an infant at that ending. But as heartbreaking and painful as it was there was no other way for it to be done. It was the way the saga had to end. Redemption was tension filled from the very beginning and didn't let you go. You knew this was it. It was the battle. You were taken through all of the main characters mindsets throughout the journey. You saw Alexa's struggle to be brave and strong from Jackson's funeral all the way until the last page. She became the leader that she wasn't sure how to be. Her internal struggles with her "Monster" sometimes proved as a much welcomed comic relief, but just as often exposed a side of Alexa we hadn't seen yet. Kayden- well Kayden continued to be perfect. He stood by Alexa's side despite knowing the possible outcome. Alexa's so very strong and he provided the extra strength she needed. When everyone leaned on her, he became the person she could lean on. Nelly proved she was no longer the young and innocent child she was in the past books. She knew what she was and although she knew it was dark, she embraced it in order to protect others. She was still fragile, but she no longer wanted to be. This book was a perfect ending to this series. Amazing.
I never write reviews but I just had to for this one. This book was astounding. What a beautiful love story between 2 sisters. You have to read this one, the whole series back to back now that it is all out.
DO NOT CLICK THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE READ IT MAJOR SPOILER HERE
So what's Next H.D. Gordon? What ever is is I'm In?
I would like another Joe... a Book with that crazy fae queen, Arroll or Surah. Or whatever else you got cooking up in that mind!
What an excellent series from beginning to end!! Everything that you could possibly want in a paranormal series...action, suspense, magic, heartache and love; twists and turns with fantastic characters and unexpected events. I actually finished it a couple of days ago and still find myself absorbing and replaying parts of the story. Just SO good and hard to put down!
I am not even sure what to say right now. This is very bittersweet. I have this horrible sad yet happy feeling in my chest. I can't help but be dissapointed a bit in the ending. Just a bit. I thought that maybe....just maybe things would turn out all right. I still loved the book. Kinda glad these are over though. To much heartbreak
I really enjoyed the Alex Montgomery Saga. It wasn't your perfect ending and I think that's what makes me appreciate it more. I loved the action and the love that the main characters have for one another. I hope we will hear more from our favorite characters in H.D. Gordon's new works.
WOW, This story brought me to tears and its so beautiful. i love and hate the ending at the same time. Though that wasn't what i wished for, it was the best ending for the book. i am so glad i read it
i cried so hard after reading this the ending oh my god ....i lobe Alexa and kayden and i will forever love them. omg i don't want to be a spoiler but one moment i am cursing and another i am accepting tge fate HD gorden gave us. ughhh i am so emotional right now **SOBBING** ......U GUYS read this series this is amzing and yes ending is emotional but this was the only proper end ❤❤😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Holy hell. Did that just happen? What.the.effity.eff. That book blew my tiny mind...
I will not go into details about this book. I can't. My mind is mush and my heart is sore. I need to recover. I will just tell you to start with book #1 - Blood Warrior, #2 Half Black Soul & #3 The Rise.
"Everything that has a life must lose it eventually. What matters is that it was a life worth living." ..."Is it Kayden? Is it worth living?" Kayden tilted my chin up with his fingers and kissed my lips, and the answer to my question was evident to me in his touch. "Oh yes, my Warrior," he said, his golden eyes burning into my own. "I really think it is." ~ Conversation between Alexa (Sun Warrior) & her Libra - Kayden
If you've read my reviews of books 1 to 3 you know for me this series is freaking EPIC. The final installent was no different. I had tears of laughter, and of grief.
From the prologue. 'In the end, we all die. This is not of question. Inarguable. No mystery lies here. The mystery dwells in two questions: How long will our story be, and what will be left in the pages?' to the last sentence on the last page 'And with her note in my pocket and her love in my heart, I am able to live.'
There were time where I literally had to set the book down and convince myself to keep going and rip off the bandaid really quick. It was that intense.
'Waiting to be attacked. Waiting to attack. Running. Fighting. Hurting. In that moment it seemed to be such a pitiful existence; an existence in vain.'
The ending, FMD. My face is puffy. My pillow is soggy. And my clothes are wet from the salty tears that poured down my cheeks, throat and onto my shirt. It was more insane than my wildest dreams and yet the heart break and sobs doesn't mean Ms Gordon could have done it any different. Where others would have copped out, she followed the course that was mapped & followed through on what we were all praying would never come to pass.
'How is one broken thing supposed to fix another? With love. Yes, love. That was what I was fighting for. That was what I was living for. And maybe, not so tragically, that was what I would die for.'
One word, genius. She writes a monster and the blackness in ones soul as if she has lived it and love as if she has plenty. Bravo Ms Gordon...
"My love for you," I whispered, "may very well be the greatest thing that this world has ever known, and because of it, the story of my life will be eternally beautiful." ~ Alexa to Nell
I can't wait to read about this girl we met. Bring on Shooting Stars!
'A chick that looked as kick ass as this, I may have liked if given the opportunity. But her next words said that there would be no such opportunity. ~ Alexa thinks as she meets Surah
SPOILER ALERT _ FINAL BOOK IN SERIES, READ AHEAD AT YOUR OWN RISK. . .
The final book in the series, so you just know it must be jam packed with all kinds of information, answers to old questions, maybe some new questions (with or without answers). This book is the culmination of all the events that Alexa and Nelly have undergone, not too mention everything their old, and new, friends have experienced. And like Alexa and Nelly the experiences encompass their entire lives, not just those that the reader was privy to.
Having made it to the relative safety of the Outlands was a chore for both Alexa and Nelly. Their nerves frayed, they still had to gain permission for Nelly to stay. The creatures of Outlands had clearly heard the Lamias call Nelly their Queen, and witnessed those same Lamias obeying Nelly's commands. This served to make her even more frightening, and raise the opinion that she was a threat to the community. Such a threat in fact that Alexa was afraid to leave her alone, regardless of how capable and powerful Nelly had become in their time apart.
War was upon the people, but Alexa didn't want to lead her younger sister into a war zone. She had to find some way to keep Nelly safe during the battle/war with the King. And the only way she would be able to keep Nelly safe would be by lying to her.
The story moves at a fairly rapid pace, with some fun little unexpected quirks thrown in that made things more realistic. Relationships develop, some gaining depth, such as Kayden and Alexa finally admitting to, and acting on, their deep and abiding love for one another. While others collapse or implode in a violent manner. thankfully both the positive and the negative inspire some very potent scenes. Throughout all of the gloom & doom of preparing their small force to go up against a trained army of substantially larger, augmented killers Ms. Gordon manages to insert humor without it ever feeling forced or stilted. And arching over it all are the individual characters and how they've grown & changed, with most being fairly realistic in the grand scheme of things.
The ending was a surprise for me in many ways, for which I very grateful. And more than a week later I am still puzzling over parts of the story, several originating coming directly from this book. Things I don't expect will ever be satisfactorily answered for me without either another book in the series, or direct questions to the author. However I find that I am curiously content to ponder these questions with no answers in sight but those I create for my own satisfaction. The book stands on its own quite well, and still provides a solid ending to the series. Without a doubt this is one series that is more than the sum of its parts, and one I am enthusiastically recommending to those who enjoy well written books in the YA, paranormal, mystery, and romance genres.
I don't even know what to say about this book. I had heard from a number of people that this was going to be the best in the series, and that the ending was going to blow my mind. Were they ever right! The last part of this book literally had me screaming, breathing a sigh of relief, and then back to screaming again while ending with a big cry. I honestly don't know what to say. The writing is obviously just as exceptional as the others, goes without saying. Alexa and Nelly are still as kick ass and lovable. The story itself...wow. It took a turn that left me spinning! I hate it and yet I love it. You'll have to read the book to understand. As much as I cried to the heavens "Why?! Dear God whhhyyy?", I also totally understand why H.D. ended this series the way she did. To be honest, and it hurts me to say because the ending really did kill a part of me inside, I probably would have done it the same way if it were me. As much as HEA's make us all warm and fuzzy, there are certain stories where that just doesn't work. I think H.D. stayed true to where this story was going and took a chance with how she wrapped it all up, but in a really sad way it was perfect. At one part I thought "No! She can't be ending it like this!" and then she gave me a slight ray of hope before crushing me again. And to be honest, that one ray of hope, even though I wanted it a lot, I thought it would have been the easy way out if she had went with it. But she didn't, she still took the hard road while mind effing us along the way, and still ended with our beating hearts in her hand. Again, I think it needed to happen, and I'm so amazed at this series as a whole. Great story, amazing characters, and above par writing. A, without a doubt, 5 stars!
The beginning of this book was probably the roughest for me. The writing felt a bit choppy. Different POVs and "in between" chapters. Not sure what to call them since they weren't really anyone's POV but served to inform the reader on what was going on. At times I was so annoyed with Alexa and her bitchiness but I guess I would be acting the same if the fate of the world rested on my shoulders and I was only 18. No pressure!!
Then there is saint Kayden. Damn that man puts up with a lot from Alexa but as he later states, their time together is counted so why waste it being angry. He is her other half. Such sweet scenes together.
Nellie... Poor Nellie. Broken. Confused. Faced with difficult choices. We were told from book one how this would all end and yet I refused to believe it. This was bloody. Sad. Full of love and hope. A bittersweet hope but hope nonetheless.
Throughout the whole book I was convinced that this was a 4 star read and not my favorite of the series. Mostly due to the writing style. Just when I was getting into a storyline I was jarred into someone else's POV. Yet, that ending and just the emotions this whole series has evoked is deserving of 5 stars.
Awesome, amazing, at times heart wrenching series. I will miss you Alexa, Kayden, Nell and even you Tommy.
My soul hurts. This book was so amazing and...scratch that. This SERIES was EPIC and the final installment did not disappoint. Sometimes, authors get lazy towards the end and either rush with very little detail or bombard the reader with way too much to comprehend. Everything ran smooth in Redemption and I have no complaints ... on that.
But I am sad. The series has finally come to an end and the ending left me speechless, to say the least. If I say any more, I'll leak spoilers. And who wants that? But I will say this. All of our favorite characters return, some old lies become truth, and everyone does not make it to the end.
This story brings back everything you want in a HD book. Fighting, romance, mystery, suspense, and some laughter. There isn't much else you could ask for in a book except an alternate ending but hey, have I EVER been a fan of her endings? I'll wait.
Some good news, one of the characters from her story is getting their own book and chapters are available on HD's website. And maybe if we protest enough some of the people we've grown to love will make it into the new book, or another series, OR she'll add on to this one in a few years? A girl can only dream.
