[Siren Classic Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, vampires, spanking, HEA] Garret Kane loves his bar. It’s his baby. When Samuel Harden walks through the door and applies for a job as a bouncer, Kane is pretty sure the man is a good fit for the position. One look at Samuel and Kane is positive the gorgeous mountain of a man is perfect for another position—specifically one in Kane’s bed. Samuel has a few surprises of his own—mainly the fact that not only does he have fangs and drink blood, but he is in another coven’s territory without permission. As Kane expresses his interest in Samuel, he’s drawn into a world he never even knew existed, one filled with danger and betrayal. Only by making a deal with a man that seems like the devil himself can Kane save Samuel from a fate worse than death. But the cost of that deal might be more than a mere human can survive. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

I loved it. I really hope it becomes a series. There are a lot of cool characters who I wouldn't mind seeing them have their own story!

A great story for those interested in some role reversal. The big, strong vampire, Sam, is the submissive in this partnership, and the human, Kane, who is definitely less powerful, is the Dom. Of course you then have all the other vampires who don't get that, as well as a power-hungry coven leader who wants his son to procreate at any cost. Written with a sense of humor as well as a few angsty passages, this in a light, entertaining read with enough characters and somewhat loose ends to let me hope for a sequel.

Garret Kane, who goes by Kane, owns a bar; he runs it with an iron fist and has made it his home. It is a moderately safe place, even though bikers regularly trash it. Thing is, those bikers pay for the damages and are otherwise pretty civilized. I found the whole idea of an arrangement with them really funny. And when I found out who they really are? Even better! When Kane hires Sam as his bouncer he really has no idea what he's getting himself into. Not that it matters - Kane will forge ahead, defend what is his, and try to protect Sam no matter who he is.

Samuel Harden, who goes by Sam, is in huge trouble. He may be a vampire, but he is not a fighter. He just wants a quiet life and a man he can love and who will tell him what to do. Mostly in the bedroom, but Sam isn't really pushy. He is loyal, though, and will defend those he loves, and he is in for a tough ride.

If you like vampires with covens fighting for territory, if you enjoy stories about big men who like to be told what to do and get hot just thinking about servicing their lover, and if you're looking for an entertaining, angsty read, you will probably like this book.

I had this book for months before finally reading it. To be honest the blurb doesn't convey what the book is truly about or how good it really is. Kane and Samuel are an unconventional vampire and human male male bondmate pairing. The first ever heard of.
I liked the book because it goes against the grain. It makes Samuel the submissive despite his larger physical and vampiric state. Kane is smaller but far more dominant. This book works so well and its completely a 5 star but I wouldn't expect anything less from Stormy Glenn.
I'm looking forward to the next in the series!

4+ stars. Nice relationship development. Fun sexy story. Of course it's clunky Stormy Glenn writing and a fated mates paranormal romance. It sucked me in and I enjoyed it. Wish this had been developed into a series.

Surprisingly good.

I liked that it wasn't your ordinary vampires.
I also loved the supporting characters, maybe even more than I liked the main characters.

I didn't like the plot holes, the threads that never got tied up and that this author has a tendency to become repetitive.

I think that there lacked a bit of chemistry between Kane and Samuel, but it still was a enjoyable story.

What I really didn't like was that the ending was all a build up and teaser for a continuation, like a series, but there is no sequel or even a tie-in with any of Ms Glenn's other books. That sucked because the secondary characters were really intriguing.

Loved it! Everything about this worked for me plus there are some wonderful secondary characters that I’m hoping the author will write their stories.

Samuel is fabulous as a submissive vampire who just wants to be loved. Kane is wonderful as the human meant for Samuel. Kane is also pretty bad-ass on his own and that totally worked!

I enjoyed this significantly more than I thought I would. The writing’s not particularly good, but the characters make up for that to an extent. Did not get bored.

Still, initially the dialogue feels a bit… off. As though people are responding to what the author was thinking instead of what is being said. It makes the characterization rather vague and reactions oddly abrupt and unprovoked.
It’s especially odd how often someone states something and almost immediately the other person will ask the question that would have prompted said statement. “I love my bar.” – “Do you like owning a bar?” Strange.

On the other hands there are some fun bits, like this one.

His dick didn’t even twitch when the woman wanting him had flashed him. The only thing he could think when he saw her breasts was that she needed to do something about the fact that they seemed to defy gravity.

Just a small thing, but it tickled me.

Anyway, this may be veering a bit off topic, but I wonder which author started referring to a vampire’s bite as the “twin pinpricks”. There is no way this is even remotely accurate, extra healing or not.
The only way for teeth slicing into flesh to result in pinprick sized and shaped holes would be if said teeth were needle thin. Quite literally pins. In very old images vampires sometimes had long thin incisors, but not even then – and certainly not since then – have I seen anything that would qualify for leaving pinpricks in the wake of a bite. The flesh is being torn or cut; no way around it. I’d also expect bruises around the area, partly because of the sucking and also because of the trauma to the tissue and the pressure of the teeth before they break skin. At best, the result would be a hickey on steroids. Oh well.

Back to the story itself.
In this particular case I won’t blame the protagonists for the plot providing bad communication. After all, they don’t know each other beyond a round of sex, so even if there seems to be heavy insta-love going on, they’re complete strangers with no idea how to interpret each other.

Surprisingly, I do like the D/s element in this one. It feels natural somehow, part of who the characters are and what makes them happy rather than a fashionable or spicy plot element. (Okay, I could have done without that final scene; it was merely fluff.)

It’s a pity, though, that this interesting ability of Samuel’s to see auras is completely neglected, considering how useful it would be (and would have been to him previously).

Time for another quotation.

“That’s sickening. Humans are revolting, nasty creatures. They are cattle, meant to feed us. How could you dilute your bloodline like that?”

“Well, considering that Samuel’s chances of getting pregnant with Kane’s child are pretty slim, I would say that the question is pointless.”

Oh, yes! I so love it when someone points out the obvious (and much too often ignored).

Overall, I found myself enjoying this.
People for the most part are being reasonable and the personalities work well off each other. Kane and Samuel and Fallon largely made sense to me and it’s interesting to watch them interact.
Even the bit players are fun (albeit Camden is very much over the top; he’s a caricature of a stereotype, so that might have been better if toned down just a bit).
All in all, this makes for a nice setup for a series.

Stormy Glenn’s books are a guilty pleasure for me to read. When I’m in the mood to escape my everyday ho-hum life and need a little pick-me-up, I know I can rely on Ms. Glenn’s books to give me an hour or two of pure unadulterated pleasure.

Since the blurb does an outstanding job at describing the story, I won’t rehash a lot of it. Kane run his bar with an iron fist. He’s very proud of it and takes great pleasure in giving his patrons a solid, safe place to kick back and relax for an hour or three. Every once in a while he does have a few clients who get out of line, so he heavily relies on having a strong, reliable bouncer. Unfortunately for Kane, it’s not always easy to find someone he can depend on, so when a very large, handsome man named Samuel applies for the job, he immediately goes with his instincts and hires him.

Kane not only wants Samuel as a bouncer, he wants him in his bed. There is something very special and mysterious about him that really pulls at both Kane’s heartstrings as well as his physical desire for him. But there is more to Samuel than meets the eye, and with the young man comes complications that Kane never expected. Will they be able to work through their differences and find a way to be together?

I really enjoyed every minute of this book. I liked that Samuel is this big, strong man, but craved something different in his personal life. Although he can easily defend himself and others, Samuel needs someone to dominate him and actually look out and take care of him for a change. I also liked how well Kane and Samuel really fit together and thought each scene they had together was nothing but passionate and sexy fun! There was also some interesting politics between the vampires that I really enjoyed. Between the creative world building Ms. Glenn created and the unique and sexy secondary characters, I really hope that this book will be the first of a series.

Ms. Glenn has a knack for writing characters that I really become addicted to reading about. In Fangs and All, she spins a delightful tale from start to finish and I know I’m keeping my fingers crossed for more books about these characters to come! Recommended!

3,5 for an easy read

Seems to be better than her other books lately. Characters more developed and not so boring, even the bad people in the middle of the book wasn't too bad. Although I would have preferred it without any. It could have been interesting dealing with the dom human, sub vampire issue, and other problems with being in cross species relationship. THAT would have been interesting - the kidnapping, fighting... boring.

I mostly liked the beginning, it managed to hold my interest, up to about 40 percent, after that less interesting, but still something I will finish reading (although I might need to skip the ending, if it's too cliché - why read the same thing hundred times :) )

Really, Kane doesn’t need more bouncers but when he sees Samuel, the newest applicant, he has to hire. The guy is exactly his typ and sparks are flying from the beginning. Their first night together changes both men irrevocably. But then Samuel disappears without a word and when he returns, Kane hardly recognizes him anymore. Something bad is going on and Kane is determined to get to the bottom of it because after only one night he already knows he can’t let go of Samuel and he can’t see him be hurt.

Great book. A new take on vampire romance, or at least one I hadn’t read before. I loved the characters and their relationship and I enjoyed this book immensely.

So cringy it hurts.

I don't even have the will to review this book. The writing was not really good and the characters were not interesting at all. It was really annoying that Kane called Samuel 'baby' every two seconds (I wanted to kill myself every time.)
The story wasn't that exciting and I didn't really care about it.

Meh. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I see good reviews everywhere. OTL

About half way through I'm wondering.. what else is there to this book to keep it going..Pleasantly surprised to find some action with Samuel trading himself for Kane as a hostage and to meet Camden (Samuel's BFF). Would have liked to see more on him with the whole pink thing and getting him a bondmate as well
