A search for the legendary sword of Julius Caesar draws the Ogmios Team into a web of intrigue, betrayal and violence that threatens the stability of the Realm, and the future of the entire planet….

It all begins when Ronan Frost receives a plea for help from Tony Denison, his former commanding officer, who is now an outspoken opponent of globalization and intensely interested in Arthurian lore. Frost’s old comrade believes that he is the target of agents working for the New World Order, and that this shadowy conspiracy is trying to prevent him from finding the Crocea Mors, the sword of Caesar, and perhaps the very blade that King Arthur pulled from the stone to win his kingdom. Frost is skeptical, but there is no denying that someone is trying to kill Denison.

Meanwhile, Sir Charles Wyndham has dispatched Konstantin Khavin to learn the truth behind the attempted assassination…and the truth is that the British government wants the man dead, at all costs. And because Frost is with him, Sir Charles is forced to make a choice—abandon Frost, or lose Ogmios for good.

The race for the sword and search for the truth behind the plot will take both Frost and Khavin across Europe, into the murky place where legends meet history, and to the very brink Armageddon.

It was okay. Just another conspiracy style novel, Dan Brownish romp, drawing on the greatest fantasy novel of all time, the Bible. Throw in some flashbacks to the Romans in Britain and the myth of King Arthur (is it just me that pictures Monty Python and the Holy Grail anytime King Arthur features?). Not fantastic, not garbage, just okay.

Another pretty darn good novella about Team Ogmios (from the best seller: Silver by Steven Savile

I am reading this story in a 3-novella collection called: Ogmios The Origins Series by Steven Savile . Pretty good thriller: part Indiana Jones and part Robert Ludlum.

I enjoyed the 1st novella in this collection as well:
Solomon's Seal (Ogmios Short Novels) by Steven Savile Each novella features a couple of the agents of Team Ogmios. If you liked Silver and are waiting for the follow-up Gold, then these novellas should be right up your alley.

Ogmios members Frost and Koni find themselves in the middle of political chaos and murder in Wargod. To make matters worse Ogmios itself is under attack cause them to cut off Frost and not investigate. Twists and turns abound. Who do they trust? What are the lies and the truth? Wargod is a political thriller, a puzzle to solve, mytery, and a riddle around King Arthur's sword.

Wargod grabs you at the first page and keeps it's hook in you until the last page.

What more can I say about the series, fast moving great characters, very interesting plot lines and more twists and turns than I care to think about. I am so pleased I discovered this series through a recommendation from Amazon and I cannot wait for the next installment
