Before tonight Cassie Tate’s biggest concerns were whether she could pass Algebra and how she was going to keep Elora, her best friend, from dressing her in a skimpy fairy costume for Halloween. Her feet were firmly planted in suburban reality and she had no reason to believe her life would be anything but that of a typical teenager. That is until tonight, when Cassie saw something that no human was ever supposed to see; in the blink of an eye she was thrown into the world of the Light and Dark Elves.

He comes from a realm where light and dark have fought for millennia. He is of a race known to humans only in myths and legends. The darkness that lives inside him is a part of both who and what he is and it makes him the most gifted spy and assassin in the history of his time. His life is not his own; he lives in the service of the Dark Elf King. He slays who he must, has mercy on no one, is relentless in his hunt, and never tires of seeing his prey fall. He is Triktapic, assassin, spy, most feared of the Dark Elves.

Now, in the midst of his King’s complicated plans to expand the Dark Elves’ holdings into the mortal realm, for the first time, Trik finds his loyalties divided. For no Elf, Dark or Light, can turn away from their Chosen.

Unbeknownst to the mortal realm, the battle between Light and Dark is being brought to their doorstep. The only one who can keep it at bay holds darkness in his heart like a lover, and the one who can sway that heart must decide if she can look beyond his black past, beyond his evil nature and see the man he is destined to be.

The question must be asked, does love really cover a multitude of sins? Can true love actually conquer all or will his darkness consume those around him until all that stands is an assassin with the blood of the mortal realm on his hands?

Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.

I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.

Okay, well I made it to Chapter 3.. It felt a bit too immature and cheesy. And it doesn't help this one that the last book about Fae I read was A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I'm really in the mood for good books about Fae/Elves so feel free to send me recs if you know any!

Eeeewwww. Cheesy. Cheesy. Cheesy.

However, I did like:
1. Dark v. light element, though not very unique or original.
2. "Chosen" mates for elves - similar concept to "mates" for werewolves, and so forth.
3. The "twist" revelation of Trik's true identity.

Didn't like:
1. Writing style & lack of editing.
2. The name: TRIK... No, just no.
3. The insta-love. Yes, because of the "chosen" factor, the insta-love is justified, yet I just couldn't get over the cheesy dialogue and the creepy age difference.
4. The world building was OK, but lacked major inspiration - IMHO.
5. Lack of action.

*GR & Amazon ratings totally threw me off with this one. But then again, maybe it's just me.

DNF. I had so high hopes. #disappointed

I almost made it. But I just can't get myself to finish. Every time I start again I immediately feel like throwing up in my mouth (Elora, sister, I hear ya).

I don't want to be cruel, because I think for a lot of people this is a fabulous book. But for me... It's simply too freaking cheesy.

I don't even have the energy to write a real review about this. So I'll cut it short:
>> If you don't mind love-at-first-sight, make-out-at-second-meeting, she-pure-he-"bad", nothing-ever-happens, move-along-nothing-to-see-here kind of romances, then by all means I think you will love this. :) (not being sarcastic!)
>> If like me, you need a kickass heroine, a hero that feels real, a love story that has to be earned, an awesome world building and a plot that will rock your world, then this book is nothing for you.

ARC REVIEW!!!!

"Reading; something I would not have even considered months ago. I stumbled upon Quinn Loftis' The Grey Wolves series around the end of the recent summer, and I have been an avid reader ever since! She showed me that reading can be a well loved passion through those books and she has done it once again with the magnificent creation of Elfin.

This tale takes place not only in our realm but also in the realm of the elves. The Elfin people have found themselves split in two, Light and Dark, creating a battle among them. Cassie, a pure at heart, finds herself placed in the middle of this war when she meets a Dark assassin. Cassie will not face this new world on her own. She will find the backing of her best friend Elora, a loyal friend like no other, and new friends made will come to her aid along the way. The Dark assassin, Trik (Triktapic), finds the human girl's life and his own to become intertwined in a way he thought was not possible for himself. This enthralling adventure takes you on a ride of joy, laughter, sorrow, despair, hope, and love. Questions will rise of overcoming a dark past, how far the two will go, and if Cassie can look past his dark nature to lead to something greater. Will good or evil take all in this epic journey?

I began this book immediately drawn in. I couldn't bare to put the book down for it is a tale worth reading. I found myself literally laughing out loud at times while others I wept for the characters during times of struggle. Quinn has really out done herself with this new story. Her words bring to life passion, love, and the classic good verses evil. Through her glorious characters, delightful humor, and way with writing she keeps the reader hooked and craving more.

I couldn't say this part any better or agree with anymore than how my good friend Candace (review present as well) phrased it..."What I didn't like about this book...it wasn't long enough, but than they rarely are. I didn't want the book to end, I wasn't ready to let go of the characters and I was left wanting to know what was going to happen next."

She opened my eyes to this amazing world of reading...Now let her open yours."

"Oh what an adventure it would be to live in a Quinn Loftis creation"

My Elfin Word! Quinn Loftis has done it again!

I would like to start off this review telling everyone how worried I was when this Author announced she was actually writing a series about Elves. Matter of fact, I think I said something like "WTC?”! What about Dec? How are you going to write about a little green twerp with pointed ears, after writing a great series of gorgeous werewolf guys?" The Grey Wolves was one of my favorite series; I cannot even think how she would possibly be able to top it.
Well guess what the Author did? She wrote a book about Elves. BUT there were no little green twerps at all. As a matter of fact there was a very HOT bad boy elf named Trik. Trik is a dark elf Assassin, who works with none other than the King of The Dark Elves. I can see this guy being on everyone's new book BF list. As I was reading, the further I got in the story I could see Quinn's signature all over it. She has once again brought us another series of love, devotion, fights and laugh out loud moments.
The Dark Assassin Trik, who soon finds out that the Forest Lords have chosen to put a very human Cassie and him together, accidentally runs into Cassie while she is helping her father out at his office. They find out that they have a connection. That is where our journey begins with the two. And what a journey it turns out to be!
Now let’s throw into the mix Elora, Cassie's best friend. One individual that is always dripping with sarcastic charm, strong will and ready to fight the world if it wrongs her.

**Fine, but if you get yourself killed I reserve the right to flush your ashes down the toilet while I sing the theme from Titanic.** Elora

In this book, we have a fight between Dark and Light Elves. Trik has to decide what he wants more, Cassie or his past. Sometimes I wanted to smack him for the decisions he made, when he thought he wasn't good enough for her. Loftis takes us on another spiral journey again with her great way of writing by adding twists and turns throughout this book. Not to mention secrets, even though we learn about Trik’s big secret, I have a feeling there is something more to Elora and her mother. I loved Cassie’s dad and his questionnaire for her boyfriends. LOL This book has great characters, concept and story line. Way to go Quinn!!!

**Is it enough if the love only comes from one side? Is the love of one person enough to conquer the hurt of two?** Cassie

**You are breathtaking after I have loved on you. Cassie rolled her eyes, is that a compliment for me or you? **

OMG!!!! Totally and utterly freakin blown away!!!!
I just can't put it all in words yet... But FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC.....

Ok, I have had time to process everything and I have to say first that Elfin is a book that I didn't want to put down for one single minute.
Although I was forced to, I was constantly thinking about it...the fabulous characters, the mystical world of the elves, the intriguing and mesmerizing story that draws you in from the very beginning and holds you captive til the very end...
Quinn Loftis is such a brilliant talented writer and her Grey Wolves series has captivated me already and so when she announced a new series around elves, I was ecstatic!! I knew she was going knock this one of the ballpark and boy did she ever with Elfin!!
Meeting Cassie, a human girl, that is pure of heart, compassionate, considerate, and just an overall good girl leads us in to the ensuing battles within the elves world of light and dark. And who better to need such a bright star in their life than none other than the dark elf Triktapic...aka Trik. Their first meeting was hot and magical. And after that, OMG...all I wanted was more of these two together.
But, with the darkness trying to take over, we are caught up in a whirlwind of secrets and struggles that is gut-wrenching, nail-biting, sitting on the edge of your seat events that ultimately leads you to that moment of tears..Yes, I cried a little...I just couldn't believe it was going to go this way....BUT...my ray of sunshine came through the dark clouds and a perfect ending appeared...AND...it left me wanting soooo much more...THANK GOODNESS that there is going to be a book 2...I cannot wait to get more of this couple and exciting characters introduced to us in Elfin.
A work of genius by Quinn Loftis...A magnificent storyline, an exotic, beautiful world, and the enchanting, alluring characters are wrapped together in this outstanding enjoyable tale....
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Why do I do this? Every time I find a free e-book on Kindle, I always walk into it with the expectation that it will be semi-decent. An every time I’m disappointed. Elfin was no exception. With amateur writing, one-dimensional characters, and underdeveloped worldbuilding, Elfin made my eyes hurt.

Elfin was one of those books that despite being trashy, was surprisingly addicting? Or perhaps that it was the quick pace that was addicting?

Elfin follows the perspective of a multitude of characters, but mainly focuses on that of Tirk and Cassie (who is so unmemorable that I had to go look up her name when I sat down to write this review). Upon assisting her father at his work, Cassie accidentally stumble upon some light Elves and thus Tirk, the dark elf spying on them. As soon as he meets Cassie, Tirk realizes that she’s his “Chosen” (think destined soul mate). The entirety of the story revolves around the two trying to come to terms with this realization.

Now for my favorite style of review: the Pro & Con list! (because we all know no one wants to read through a ranting paragraph version of this review and quite frankly, I don’t want to write it)

Cons:

The Writing:
- Sooooo many spelling and grammar mistakes and spacing issues. I understand that no one is perfect and that one or two are undoubtedly going to slip by, but I must have come upon at least a dozen. For that reason alone this shouldn’t have been published how it is.
- Long, rambling sentences
- SUPER INFORMAL:
He pushed the door open and walked into what looked like a mad scientist’s lab in a cheesy spy movie.
(Please never write like this)
- Always referring to whether the characters are “appropriately” looking feminine or masculine. This was completely unnecessary; we really don’t need to encourage stereotypes.
- Omniscient third person

The Story:
- I’m not actually sure there was a plot?
- Soul mate/Mate/Chosen crap
- Using said soulmate crap to base a relationship between Cassie & Tirk on literally nothing
- Alpha Male bullshit
- No denial that elves exist (Um, how do you not freak out/go into denial when a man magically appears in your room claiming to be an elf and basically your soul mate? I would have gone all Rapunzel and hit him over the head with a frying pan.)
- A “super special” cast of main characters (please gag me with a spoon)
- Tirk constantly repeating “I don’t deserve you.” (I don’t deserve to have to read that a dozen times)
- I feel like Elfin royalty should not be so casual?
- Out of nowhere introducing a love interest for the best friend at 90%
- Flimsy magic rules

Pros:

- The best friend, Elora, who was quite amusing
- A main character whose morals didn’t change when she met a guy! (I know; shocking!)
- The dad’s questionnaire for Tirk (“How many children have you fathered? And are they all by the same woman?”— I died when I read that )

Overall, I’m so glad the story is finished and that I’m no longer grating my mind against this disaster of a story. I really wish I could at least say this story had potential, but really it didn’t; it was so full off tropes there wasn't anything salvageable. In hindsight I probably should have dnf-ed it, but a small part of me was curious to see where it ended up (it was a disappointment). Hopefully I’ve learned my lesson and won’t picked up any more horrendous romance e-books (and hopefully the few reading these have learned vicariously through me), but let’s be real; I’ll probably be back on here complaining again in a few weeks about another free e-book. For now though, I’m off to go cleanse myself with some quality YA literature. :)

OK, so, I really wanted to like this book. Judging by the reviews that I read, Elfin seemed to be something that would be right up my alley. Unfortunately, within the first chapter, I could tell this would be a book that I struggled to get through.

Now, don't get me wrong, the plot for this book is not the culprit for my one-star review. The actual story could have been quite enjoyable. Sadly, it was the presentation of the story that made this book such a difficult read.

I don't know anything about the background of this book, but it gave me a sense of poorly edited, slapped-together fanfiction. I even found spelling mistakes(i.e. their instead of there, etc.)! I guess I am just disappointed in this book because it really did have some potential and I really wanted to like it. Ah, well, I won't be reading any of the sequels, even though I usually stick out a series, no matter how bad it is.

The battle between the dark and the light elves has been going on for as long as time can remember. Now an everyday human girl, Cassie Tate, has been pulled right into the center of this battle for control. When not only the elf world is at risk, the survival of the human race might depend on Cassie’s ability to love.

Elfin was an absolutely marvelous read. I was instantly captivated by the story and characters. The plot was original and action packed. But honestly, what else have we come to expect from Quinn Loftis...oh yeah, there is tons of romantic tension, heart ache, strong emotional attachments to the characters and super hot alphas. Yes, Loftis' book does have it all. The open ending definitely left me wanting more. Great new series, fabulous new story, 5 Stars for Elfin.

Read more awesome reviews on my blog thebiasedbookie.blogspot.com

So Goodreads recommended this one to me. It had stellar reviews and and the premise sounded intriguing. Once again I mostly read this one during the layover in Memphis...the airport was less than desirable.

What I LIKED about this book
Not a whole lot. Originally I enjoyed the catty and witty characters Loftis created. Though even that in the ending wasn't enough for me.

What I DISLIKED about this book
A whole lot of insta-love and not a lot of action, and when I say action I mean fighting, rescuing or obstacles. Mostly I felt this was a book about "magic" love and the problems Cassie faces when the person she loves is a trained assassin, although Trik's character really didn't portray a maniacal killing machine. I really needed more suspense and less make-out scenes.

Like I mentioned above, the characters really suffered from a loss of identity. We were supposed to believe that the dark elves were really evil when their actions and what was written about them really wasn't "bad-guy" material.

Parting Thoughts
Overall I'm going to give Elfin 2 out of 5 stars. The reason it's not getting 1 star is because somehow I finished the book. This was not the book for me. I like romance in my novels but I was drowning in cheesy love scenes with Elfin. Read this of you want a romance novel with a slight fantasy edge to it, very slight however. How did this get gushing reviews on Goodreads? It hasn't disappointed me this much ever!

Wow....I did not think I was going to love this book as much as I did. I read this book solely on the authors name and the love I have of her "Grey Wolf" series. It blew me away.

First off I love a little bit of bad with my hero. Seriously, I'm the girl who thinks Damon Salvatore should win the girl ... There's no contest. So needless to say I loved that there was a bad boy, Trik, who didn't know what to do initially about this sweet human who WAS his Chosen. Thank you Quinn for not throwing in a sticky sweet boy to make a yucky love
triangle.

The book was fast paced and there was never a dull moment. As with her other series, the heroine Cassie has a great friend with a quirky personality. You grow to love her and I can't wait to see what's in store for her. I can't wait to see what is in store for everyone in this series!

This book just confirmed my love for this author and the wonderful worlds she creates with her words! I look forward to all of her future stories.

I am a huge Quinn Loftis fan and absolutely love her Grey Wolves Series. When I found out she was writing a a new series, Elfin, I was so excited. Needles to say, she did not disappoint her readers, and true-to-form, she has yet written another book that will knock your socks off. I absolutely loved the characters in Elfin. Trik, well just picture Legolas from Lord of the Rings, Trik is even hotter, he's a bad boy, or I guess I should say bad elf, which makes him even more desirable, and his cocky attitude just completes the package. I loved Cassie to. She has a pure heart, and loves deeply, which also causes her to hurt deeply, but she has attitude to, and she is going to be quite the heroine in this series. There are several secondary characters which were great and I look forward to getting to know them more as the series continues. My favorite is Elora, Cassie's best friend. If you have read Quinn's Grey Wolves Series, the Elora will remind you a lot of Jen, only with a Gothic style. She is snarky, self-confident, tough, says what she means, and means what she says. I just loved her. I can't wait to see where Quinn takes Elora in this series, and I have an idea about who she might get together with, but we'll have to wait and see how that plays out. The love interest.....Cassie and Trik's relationship will melt your heart, cause you to swoon, and then fan your face a little to. I mean Trik has got it going on. The story flows beautifully and the plot is intriguing and fresh. Elfin is filled with action, adventure, fantasy, sizzling romance, danger, and humor. My attention was captured from beginning to end and I can't wait to see what is coming next in this series. If you are looking for a fantastic read, then this is one book you will want to check out. I loved it.

I absolutely love this book. I had never read a book about Elves, and honestly, I almost thought about not reading it. BUT I love Quinn Loftis Grey Wolves Series and decided to give it a shot.
I am so so so glad that I did. What do I say about Trik? Words fail me. I'm pretty sure he is my new fiction, Elfin book boyfriend. Yes, I just said that.
Anyways we have Cassie, who is a 18 year old high school student. She is doing work at her fathers office one day and happens to hear some guys talking, when she thought the office was empty. By Elfin law, anyone who looks at them while they are in their natural Elfin glory shall forfeit their lives. Cassie sees them. Trik comes in to save the day, while he then realizes that Cassie is his Chosen (or mate). Trik is a dark Elf and thinks he doesn't deserve Cassie but she sees the good in Trik.I know I am skipping around a little bit but honestly I'm afraid I might give too much away. Lorsan, is the dark elf king and is determined to have his best assassin help him take over. But with Cassie bringing out the good in Trik, Lorsan is determined to put a stop to it.

This may be a spoiler, so just a warning.

After Cassie is captured by Lorsan, Trik has to overcome the darkness and admit his love for Cassie. He has to go through many things to get her mentally back to him. This is where I fell more and more in love with Trik. I loved Elora through this book. I couldn't help but be reminded of Jen from the Grey Wolves Series by her snarky remarks. Love her

Read this book...seriously..go now and read it!

Reto de Beatriz
grupo lecturas conjuntas

I finished this book about 2 hours ago and my stomach is still twisted up in knots! Quinn Loftis is one of those authors who has continually impressed me through all of her work, and she has once again just stunned me with another incredible story! The Elfin series is officially on my series to watch list, and I am hooked!

Imagine, if you will, a gorgeous dark elf, assassin by nature and truly gifted at the cruel fates he carries out. He spent centuries alone giving in to the darkness inside of him, his only true friend the dark elf king who he serves, and he has no reason to believe there is any other life for him.

That is, until the day Trik meets her....

She sees him, his true form, and he knows she's the one...his Chosen. He never thought he had enough good in him to deserve this gift from the Forest Lords, but she is changing him. Cassie sees more in Trik than even he knows to hope for, and deep down she can feel that there is still good in him. She sees the real Triktapic beneath the assassin, but she doesn't realize just how far they will have to go to save him from himself.

"I dreamt of your smell, your touch, your voice, your words and then you were gone. My soul was ripped in two as you melted away. I saw the doubt in your eyes as I bore my heart to you, doubt that I put there." ~Trik

Full of intense emotions, pulse-racing passion, gut-wrenching suspense, and of course Quinn Loftis' infallible humor, Elfin was an unforgettable start to what is sure to be an amazing series. I was captivated by the characters, Cassie for her bravery and determination, and Trik for the strength and raw sex appeal that this dark elf just has in spades!! His devotion to Cassie from the start had me weak at the knees, and Loftis delivered some serious stabs to the heart with their rocky journey. I love that they were fated soul mates but he was just so adamant that he wasn't worthy of her, and she really pushed him to see his worth. There is much more to Trik than meets the eye, too, and once the big revelation came out I was like a giddy school girl thrilled at this awesome new story we get to dive into!!

"I've given you my heart; I've given you my soul. What else can I give? I'm asking you to stay with me. I'm asking you to pick us. I see in you the man you don't think you can be, but I know you can." ~Cassie

The last 25% or so of this book was an absolute nail-biting series of events that had me so tense I couldn't tear my eyes away from my screen. My stomach was tied up in knots, my heart was racing, and I was ready to scream at some of the moments I had to get through. It...was...intense! I'm now left sitting here wondering how long we're going to have to wait to get more of these characters that I'm just loving to pieces, because any wait is going to be killer!! Congratulations Quinn on another incredible series!!

I'm a big fan of the Grey Wolves series so it was no surprise that I was looking forward to read a new series from Quinn Loftis.
And oh boy, it sure didn't disappoint, we have a kick ass heroine (yes, a heroine with personality and witty), a possessive bad ass hero, a sarcastic and hilarious best friend and lots of great characters in between.

So it starts when Cassie, and ordinary high school student came across to what no human should ever seen, risking for that her life.
She came across to the world of the Elves, the Light and the Dark Elves. And yes, she stumbles in a room to the most feared spy and assassin of the elves, Trik.
The thing is, they are drawn to each other, even more, their souls are drawn to each other, Cassie, a human, is the Chosen of Trik. She is the mate, his other half, that he waited for more than a thousand years.

You have been given a gift and gifts are not always deserved, but they should always be accepted.

And in what Cassie is pure and innocent, Trik is dark and unmerciful.
Between an endless battle between the Dark and Light Elves, a race must be united, plans to subjugate the human realm must be stopped, loyalties will be tested...Can Trik believe there is still something worthy of salvation and can Cassie overcame his past and became his future?

Elfin it's a great start for a new series, the action and the emotions where escalating through the book, leaving us readers begging for more.

I loved Trik!! He is such an alpha male, cocky, with a deadly and quite confident aura about him. He is possessive and jealous...

He wanted every male to know that she was his and to pursue her would be their demise. Was he overreacting? Probably. Did he care? Nope.

Inhumanly beautiful, in his human and elf form, but he just have eyes for Cassie. He could do anything for her.
And well i really liked that, at least at first impressions, he is the bad guy, he did awful things, having in Cassie an opportunity to step away from the darkness and truly grasp happiness.

In the other hand, i just loved Cassie. She is witty...

"Oooh, just what I've always wanted. A man whose job title had the word ass in it not once, but two times."

...loyal and fierce, and it's endearing when bottom line she doesn't care of what he did before he met her. She sees goodness in him and she doesn't want to give up on him

After that cliffhanger, i can't wait for the next installment of this series and to know what happens, to Trik, Cassie, Elora and Cush.

Quinn has done it again. She has created this amazing world with fun characters, a unique take on a familiar paranormal being, and fated love and wrapped them all up into a book you can not put down until you have read every last word. I love my shifters. Seriously. I may have a shifter addiction ;), but I predict that this series will become my favorite of hers.

She has good versus evil, where the lines are blurred. She has fated love that is inconvenient, at best. She has whole new realm to explore. Oh and she has Elora, who for some reason just tickles my fancy. I need to find a book group who has read this book so I can discuss all of the things I loved about it without being spoilerish because everything I want to say right now is going to give something away and no matter how small that bit may be, the last thing I want to do is to take any of the magic of this series away from you.

Just writing this is making me want to read it again. I was actually given an ARC copy for review, but still bought my own so I could highlight it because I am a big old dork and liked it that much. Seriously, if even a tiny bit of the synopsis sounds good, get this book. You will not be sorry. It is made of Amazing!

ARC review!!!

Let me first start by saying how much I adore Quinn Loftis, the creator of The Grey Wolves Series. Quinn is enchanting us yet again, but this time with elves in her new book Elfin. From the very start, Quinn grabs the reader by the hand & pulls you into this captivating romance. As I read, I found myself laughing, screaming & crying right along with the characters. I couldn't put Eflin down, but at the same time I didn't want it to end!

Now let's talk about Tirk *deep breath* move over all other fictional boyfriends because you've got nothing on this hottie! Here's just a little sample "You are my everything, the very breath I breath, the water I drink, the food I; you are all that I need, all that I want and all that I am is yours." *swoon* Tirk, is brave, strong & determined to get what he wants. What does Tirk want? Cassie, Quinn couldn't have matched a better couple. Cassie is kind, loving & the only one brave enough to put Tirk in his place!

It wouldn't be Quinn's book if she didn't leave us with a little cliffhanger to keep us guessing what will happen in book 2. I for one CAN'T wait to get my hands on it!!!

Abandonado 35%

What a sweet read- I finished this book on Christmas Eve and it was a perfect setting. Sitting by the Christmas tree and falling deep into the story of a few sexy fae's.

The book started great with Cassie and Elora and I love that the story took its course early on as we learn about Cassie's fate with Trik who is the assassin of the Dark King of the Elves . Elora is that cool friend who gives it to you straight up! She doesn't worry about hurting your feelings. (Needless to say, she is my favorite character).

I enjoyed those sexy innuendos with these two! It was a bit of plus for me because like I said the setting was just perfect. The description of their attraction toward each other is romantic but we cannot forget what he is, the things he has done and who might want revenge.

This is going to be another successful series.

This is a creative, imaginative, intense read! I ran the gamut of emotions reading this, in one sitting, of course!

Cassie, an All-American teen, accidentally discovers the world of the Light and Dark Elves and meets Triktapic, the Dark Elven King's deadly assassin and spy. She becomes embroiled in the chaos of the warring elves, While Trik, who has operated like a heartless machine, finds he can love and has a newly found conscience. Wow! Just Wow!

The love in this tale is warm, sweet. The hate is brutal in its depths. Forced loyalty used as a dark tool. Freely offered loyalty ran deep. New bonds were formed. Old chains broken. Deep secrets are uncovered!

This book had it all! The attention to detail puts the reader right in the moment emotionally! Definitely FIVE stars!

Wow! Prince of Wolves is my all time favorite series, so I couldn't wait to start reading Quinn's new series!I just have to say it was absolutely amazing! I started this book at 10:00 at night and didn't stop reading until 1 in the morning when I finished the book. I love Cassie and Trik together, and I can't wait to see them together again in the upcoming books! I loved how much Trik changed because of Cassie, they are such a great team together.... I can't wait for the next book, and prince of wolves!

I really liked this first book, it made me laugh at the right times, made me want to scream at Lorsan for what he was doing to Cassie and awed at how much Trik cared. It is a great start to a new series. Can't wait for the next one to come.
