Little Froggie is super excited to go to Grandpa's birthday party and spends the whole day getting ready. When it's all over he's sad because he doesn't want it to be over, he's having so much fun! Bright, vivid illustrations accompany simple text. This is a fun group read aloud about birthdays, frogs, or music.

The colors in this book are bright, bold, and exciting, but the illustrations are a little off putting to me (the bunny character especially). The story leaves something to be desired.

This book is a great way to talk about the excitement leading up to a party as well as the letdown feeling once it is over. The whiny, tired voice of the frog is exactly what I hear from my youngest, especially after a busy, exciting day. It's a good book to read at bedtime. Our girls have borrowed this from the library a few times. I think they like the cover illustration as much as they like the story.

This is the story about a frog who is excited to sing at his grandpa's birthday party. He continues to be excited, even after the party is over. He doesn't even want to go to sleep at the end of the day. Finally, his best friend, Rabbit, convinces him to go to sleep.This is a very lengthy book,but could possibly be read-aloud over a period of two days...recommended for grades 1st and 2nd.

Energetic character with a wacky imagination. Best part to me is the circling back at the conclusion of a very full day. Somewhat aimed at the parent/adult, in my opinion, reflecting a child's over-excitement, over-tired, demnand for the spotlight response to "big" days.
