Jews are estimated to make up less than 1% of the world's population, yet approximately 25% of the world's billionaires are Jewish. Jews are always found on lists of the world’s richest people. In 2009, 139 of the Forbes 400 were Jewish. Jews also comprise a very large number of history’s most important figures, people who have had a profound impact on humanity. Approximately 35% of Nobel Prizes have been awarded to Jews. No other ethnic group has even come close to matching the abilities and accomplishments of Jews.
Since such a large percent of the wealthiest and most successful people in the world are Jewish, a common question the world over is, “Why are so many Jews so wealthy?” Their secret lies not in their genetics or intelligence, as some have believed, but in their religion. Many of the wealthiest Jews use a code based on Judaism.
You do not need to convert to Judaism or believe in religion to use The Money Code. “Religion has preserved history's greatest wisdom teachings,” says religious studies scholar Huston Cummings Smith.
There are various methods of wealth creation; however, many are short-lived, unfulfilling, or hazardous. The ideal circumstance is to create long-lasting wealth, accompanied by peace of mind and fulfilment. This book will reveal the code that many Jews understand and use to their great advantage. The Money Code can be used by absolutely anyone to achieve long-term wealth and success in life.
In recent years, the popularity of "think your way to wealth" have skyrocketed. I've read many of these books, including, The Law of Attraction and The Secret, but I find these books have no tangible results. A lot of my friends have read them, with no results at all. The Money Code actually tells you how to get wealthy with practical steps and tangible results. Many books on wealth are 200-400 pages, when they should only be about 50-100 pages. Many of these books, repeat information, and are long-winded just to fill up space. The Money Code gives you the most practical information and tells you what to do with, in about 50 pages.
For the record, I am not Jewish, but a lot of the information in this book makes sense and is applicable in everyday life. I've seen some tangible results myself. Highly recommended!
There are some bits of knowledge that one wishes they knew many decades earlier. This is the type of book that should actually be required reading in high school and college Economic classes.
This book is outlined so well from start to finish. It literally lays out a very precise plan for one to follow. I like that the author included several links if the reader wishes to learn much more about various subjects. (From investing to which field of work one should pursue).
It's never to late to start down the path of changing one's fiscal habits to better your life. Perhaps you're like me.. and didn't grow up with a father to teach you the basics of economics. And, a single mother who couldn't.. because she was just as clueless about how to make your money work for you. This book will teach you much about money that just isn't as readily known around the world.
If you want to know why Jews, who only make up of less than 1% of the population, comprise 25% of the world's richest? Then pick up this book!
You don't have to adhere to Judaism to find out their secret. In this book, H. W. Charles laid out 7 practical money code (tips), each in their own chapter, and encourages the reader to take the action steps given to be able to maximize the information acquired. If you're into business books, you'll find these tips relatively easy and simple. You might even dismiss these ideas as common sense.
It's just a short and easy read yet very informative. I promise you'll finish this book in just one sitting. If it only takes more or less than an hour to know what the Jewish people know that propelled them to success and prosperity, then why not?
This book uses the Torah and Tanak(Hebrew Bible) as a basis for following life goals through learning, earning, investing, donating and helping the needy. The approach has been used to emphasize the disproportionate riches & success of Jews around the world at any given time in history. Despite being a non-Jew, I am thoroughly impressed by the methodology and priorities put forth in the book regarding life & money.
Honestly, don't waste your time. Basically a collection of statistics showing how Jews are better at money than everyone else sprinkled with some proverb sounding snippets from the Talmud. Nothing that will help you 'break the code' or any specific, pragmatic, useful information. Blew through it since it's rather short, but it came up short.
If you know nothing of Judaism, you may find some references and links interesting. As for getting rich...there is no secret. Some of the text is historical and timeless. Some of the links are outdated and/or worthless.
In its author’s words, the Money Code that Jewish knew for centuries is found in the books containing history’s greatest wisdom of all time: Jewish religious texts. Although some popular religious texts such as the New Testament, Quran, Bhagavad Gita, Tao Te Ching or Tibetan Book of the Dead (Bardo Thodol) contain interesting insights and wisdom, it is the Jewish religious texts such as the Old Testament [Tanakh] that contains valuable information on acquiring Wealth.
Even if the contents discussed strongly delve into Judaism, the book is written for non-Jews and also for non-religious people: “the reader does not need to become a Jew or convert to their religion, Judaism, to become wealthy“.
H. W. Charles believes that your financial success depends upon:
the wisdom you learn from these Jewish books and your will to change your way of doing things and take action The author reports that the Money Code found in the Old Testament (Tanakh) is decoded by the Talmud. In fact, the Talmud explains the secret meanings behind the words of Hebrew scriptures and other Jewish religious texts. Jews refer to the first five books of Tanakh (the Old Testament) as the Torah.
The book highlights how religion influences a person’s success and finances “because it shapes values and priorities, contributes to the set of competencies from which action is constructed, and may provide important social contacts”. As such, religion is an important factor for wealth accumulation. Quoting research among several faiths done by the Sociologist Lisa A. Keister, he reports how Wealth is highest among Jews, followed by mainline protestants, followed by Roman Catholics. Conservative protestants were the least wealthy and successful.
The author seems to conclude that being raised Jewish and practising Judaism leads to the accumulation of Wealth. He, therefore, extracts 7 key MONEY CODES from Jewish religious books. Then, he invites you to study and execute them to obtain Wealth.
Right off the bat I need to say that despite my first impression by the title and the book cover, I found this book to not be the cheesy mess I expected it to be. I'm so tired of the name-it-claim-it garbage that has come out of the prosperity gospel crowd that I really was hesitant to buy this book. So, why did I buy it? It was recommended by Audible as being something I may be interested in because I read another book they presumed was similar. Also, it was inexpensive and short (only a bit under 2 hours listening at normal speed). SO, yeah, I figured I would give it a shot. Turns out, I actually found the book very insightful into the possible reasons why my Jewish brothers and sisters are often so financially blessed. So many times in my christian upbringing I was warned about the evils of wealth and that I must avoid the pitfalls of trying to acquire wealth. Well, let me just tell you this, The Money Code lays all of that mess to rest, but not in the same way most prosperity preachers and teachers do it. This book actually teaches you why the Jewish people have been blessed, what they teach their children about money, and how vastly it differs from what western civilizations teach their kids.
I do have a few minor problems with this book, but it is of minor significance. There is enough good in it that I am comfortable recommending it to you if you are looking for answers as to whether or not it is even acceptable to pursue financial gain as a follower of Jesus. This book has helped give me confirmation on things I believe on earning and giving. I believe it can do the same for you.
Great book! It does touch alot on the jewish religion but the advice and thoughts are excellent! A couple of big ideas i want to remember before I list the main ideas. God gives you an unfinished product. He gives you the tools and the clay to mold what you want to create. Our obligation is to improve the world we got from God. You cannot do Gods work if you are poor. Therefore, God wants you be financially successful. You cannot help others to eat of you are constantly hungry yourself. It makes then that the more you give the more you receive. Big ideas:
1-“Wisdom is really the key to wealth. With great wisdom, comes great wealth and success. Rather than pursuing wealth, pursue wisdom. The aggressive pursuit of wealth can lead to disappointment." 2-The problem is generally not money. Jesus taught that the problem was attachment to possessions and dependence on money rather than dependence on God. 3-Rich people have small TVs and big libraries, and poor people have small libraries and big TVs. 4-They key is to work extremely hard for a short period of time (1-5 years), create abundant wealth, and then make money work hard for you through wise investments that yield a passive income for life. 5-Whenever you pursue a goal, it should be with complete focus. This means no interruptions.
What a fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable read. As someone whom has Jewish friends, I've always marvelled at how successful this remarkable group of people are at living a productive and fruitful life. I've always wanted to know how they did it. And this book certainly helps to shed some light and deliver insight into the classic Jewish wisdom regarding wealth. Highly recommended.
I loved the way the author has categorized all the points in a simple manner that can be easily understood. I always knew the statistics of the way Jews as a community do so well but the internal secrets have been brilliantly described in this book.
I would have loved a one-on-one interview with a successful Jew who implemented the principle described so that we know a living example of how they are implementing a principle.
Engaging with Jewish literature and teachings offers profound insights that are invaluable and timeless. Each piece of knowledge contributes to a rich tapestry of wisdom, illuminating the perspectives of sages throughout history. Exploring these texts not only deepens our understanding of Jewish tradition but also enriches our lives, guiding us with lessons that resonate across generations.
While I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, I felt it was not as in depth as other books I have read on the same topic. I believe that this book best functions as a sound introduction. Then, the reader should find other sources with more examples and explanations a of the New Testament.
I liked this book Because it illustrated a lot of key points in a very short and meaningful way each chapter gave you a principle which you could apply in your daily life immediately and I enjoyed the dinner and the rigor with which each principal was introduced great work by the author and I look forward to other books by HW Charles
The information presented resonates with me because it is aligned with the teachings from the Torah and Talmud. The author also lists resources for the reader to use in order to take action and apply the wisdom being presented under each code listed.
It’s not a bad read. Be prepared to learn about the Tora and how it pertains to gaining wealth and maintaining it. Gives a lot of resources to read and look into for better understanding and knowledge.
Very obvious principles laid out. They reference the Bible. It is not a religious book. It list sound principles to keep the money you earn. All young people should be required to read this book and learn the principles with which to live in this world.
I liked everything about this book. It has great principles on wealth creation in addition to increasing it. If you value great Jewish and Christian disciplines you will love this book. You will learn from the wealthiest people how to increase money.
This Audiobook needs a reference sheet attached and could do without the occupational list from the Department of Labor DOL.gov Bureau of Labor & Statistics BLS.gov.
How about a step 1, step 2 etc for those just starting, starting a family, progressing through life etc.
With the Torah guiding every step, it is refreshing to note that giving is one of the best things that would make a great difference in the world we live in
What a gift to read this book! I have recommended it to my friends. Somethings very eye-opening for me and will definitely change the course of my life in giving.
