I was given an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book! Bonnie R. Paulson did an amazing job on the characters. You could really connect with them, and they pulled you in to their world. The book was twisted and suspenseful, and had a perfect ending.

This wickedly delicious cover for Dictating Death by Bonnie R Paulson makes me think I will be going over the falls and into deep water. And I go willingly.

Maria hated waiting for the death part. The fun was in the lead-in to the the final act – the revenge.

The creepiness of the cover drew me in and after reading the blurb, I was hooked. Knowing what’s inside only whet my appetite for blood. And I got it. Right from the getgo. From the opening pages the knife was cutting, the blood flowing, the torture beyond belief. It wasn’t enough to kill. It must be a long, drawn out, painful and excruciating death. And Maria reveled in it.

Is Samantha good? Is Maria bad? Who is the responsible party? Many times they are at cross purposes, both struggling for control. Sam is a slob, a pussy. Maria is the doer, she wants to look hot and pretty, she is the angel of vengeance.

As the book opens, Maria thinks, this is not my first kill and I sure don’t want it to be the last. She knew she would get caught…just not yet. She must have her

Everything before hand is just icing on the cake.

She is 300 pounds of woman. Sam did it to slow them down, forgetting, or never really believing she may meet Mr Right.

Rebecca – where did she come from? I think I will leave it to you to learn about Rebecca.

When Sam met Luke, she felt he was different.

Dr Luke Lawson. Imagine coming home to your messy house, only to find it sparkling clean. What would you do? What did he do?

He left his door open, hoping someone would come in and erase all evidence of his ex. DONE. But, you better be careful what you wish for. Poor Luke. Even when something good enters his life, it turns to shit. He can’t get a break.

I was into this book from the beginning and it gripped me until the end. Like the synopsis says, this is not for the faint of heart. The torture, blood and gore keeps on giving. I knew her ending, but the way it happened was wrapped up in a neat package that had me saying, “Well, that’s that.” I am satisfied.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

This book is unlike any book I have read that has a character with Multiple Personality Disorder. This is hard reading. The warning is there for a reason but I will reiterate it: This book is not light reading. There are graphic scenes and there is not HEA. NOT intended for teens or young adults. Again, this is not light reading. Violence and craziness. You've been warned.
Yep, violence and craziness abound in this book about as prolifically as the snow in Boston right now, and just like the snow in Boston too, it's cold and dirty and not going away any time soon. But! This book is amazing. The author has done such an incredible job of getting into the minds and personalities of Maria and Samantha, their likes and dislikes, making them roommates who just so happen to occupy the same mind and body.
Is this true of a person with MPD? I have no clue, but it's a wonderfully gruesome portrayal. It delves into the whys and hows of the existence of Samantha and Maria, and how they struggle with their existence as two completely different people. This book is heartbreaking in that you root for all the characters....Maria for her vengeance, Samantha for her need of a normal life, and Luke, who just wants to find someone to share his life with.

As the intro says it is not a light reading but I love this kind of dark books. It is about Rebecca/Samantha/Maria although for most of the book you will get to know Samantha/Maria. you get a perfect look on a damaged, abused woman who hide into other personalities to deal with it all. It is not confusing, I found it quiet clear.
It is a fast paced story from a woman so damaged, she kills to get to the perfect kill, her abuser, she gets more and more violent. They also have a inner "fight" between the girls. It is amazing to me how the author could get into the dark side and create such a perfect story, I felt sorry for her.... Good strong story, I loved the girls and was sad about the ending. I really recommend this book to people who like dark kinda stories, also who like Psycho Thrillers. Although I sofar liked all the books I read from Bonnie, I can't wait to read more from her in this style.

I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Dictating Death is not for the faint at heart. Samantha shares her thoughts, movements , and well her body with her alter ego Maria. Samantha is the smart sweet woman that does medical transcription for a living. Maria, well, she tortures and murders the clientele. The end result, practice for revenge on the man that ruined them and brought them into being.

I love Bonnie Paulson's novels and when the opportunity arose to review not only a new novel, but a new genre, I jumped at the chance. This story was so well written and freaked me out so much, I'm definitely going to be leery of new encounters with people for awhile. If you live spine tingling psychological suspense novels, this has got to be added to your reading pile.

This advanced copy book was given to me for my honest review... And lol I can say in this moment is wow. The first paragraph grabs you and hooks you for the entire story. Rebecca, Samantha, Maria are all one person. Rebecca was an a used child by her stepfather. What he did to that little girl, there are no words to express the heart ache I felt for her. Her way of coping was creating these two personalities, Maria was the aggressive angry one and Samantha stored away the memories... She was the cleaner and honestly I see her as the dominate on. No spoilers with this review but know that hat they do, is what they needed to cope.... And also get some revenge. There was a couple of slow moments but so worth the push. The ending is as it should be. And made me so very sad. A must read!!

Darkly beautiful. These have become favorites of mine. They blend lines and push you to think. Multiple personalities pan out in this twisted story where the battle is both internal and external. You love it. You hate it. Then you remember throughout the story that they are one person.

Bonnie Paulson takes us where no one typically goes and even fewer understand. The psyche can be a wonderful but nightmarish place to visit let alone live, but she paints each scene well and hits her mark in an entertaining and thrilling way. Gripping, spine-chilling, and thought-provoking are all words that enter my mind, but truly it is a story that will not leave you once you close the book.

This book was a crazy ride of a couple crazies in one body! It took me about half way through for it to grab me but the excitement was from the get go! It is action packed and it finished with a bang. Really great book!

Rebecca was severely abused as a child so in order to protect her, her mind created two other personalities to take the brunt of what was going on. As she got older Rebecca moved aside and let Maria and Samantha take over. Maria was a brutal one she decided to payback their abuser by going on a killing spree. When Luke comes in Maria's sights as the next victim, Samantha will do whatever it takes to stop her!

This is one of those books that is so hard to leave a review for because you don’t want to give away any of the plot. This book will be like nothing you’ve ever read before.

We’ve all heard about split personality disorder. This book brings that to live very vividly. There is usually something in one’s past that makes them have a split personality to begin with. It’s a coping mechanism of sorts. This is true when it comes to Samantha.

This book is deep and dark. It’s definitely not a fluff read. Read it during the day with the lights on.

MY REVIEW
Dictating Death is one book that is mind twisted and I am not sure that is a good thing to say about it this time. A multiple personality Girl and the story goes along with her. The rest would give more away than needed. However, it is a very good book to read.

I am giving this book a 4/5 star as there was some areas it was hard to follow who was who in her head.

Twisted and gripping, Bonnie Paulson knows how to write a damhe aged heroine! Lost of turns I didn't see coming, I fell in love with the hero! This is great suspense!
