Plead Insanity

Rate this book
Jared’s unlike any twenty-one year old guy he knows, but then that could be down to his determination to keep from associating with the human population. Not that he doesn’t count himself among humans, no. He’s completely unaware of what he is. To him the term ‘vampire’ is purely fictional, and he really would like to keep it that way. But it’s hard to hide from yourself, especially when you’re fighting a lust that has a tendency of cropping up at the most inconvenient times.
Things become hard for Jared when a murder is committed right under his inhumanly-sensitive nose. He doesn’t witness the murder, but plenty of people believe that he did, because he’s the one who walks in just after the killing has taken place. And if that’s not bad enough, this happens to be the first time that he’s faced with fresh blood. He may be able to resist feasting on hidden blood, but this?

This is book one of Jared's sector of the series; Collision Of Worlds.

About the author

Sandra Giles

Sandra was born in Cambridge, England, where she still lives with her family. She lives for writing and is inspired by everyday events and by her adventures abroad.

"I first decided to try my hand at writing when I was at sixth form and my teachers often gave praise on my writing, despite me never actually taking English as a subject. It happened most in my photography lessons. Though I'm terrible at taking photographs, whenever I wrote about the work of other photographers and described their images it was with a lot of detail and a unique style that wouldn't go unnoticed. The only reason I did well in that subject was because of the written side to it, and it was in those lessons that I started writing Plead Insanity.

I feel that even if just one person enjoys a single one of my novels, it will make the journey worthwhile, whatever the outcome. With a lot of dedication, and some much-needed support, hopefully the novels I live for will one day become available to buy in shops around the world. And if not, at least I have made some fantastic fictional friends along the way."

Sandra is in the process of writing what is set to be an extensive series entitled 'Collision Of Worlds'. The first three novels from the series are available to purchase now, alongside a collection of stories inspired by the Olympics, and a contribution to the anthology, Pick 'N' Mix.

Great characterisation, some nice snappy dialogue and a bit of a Tarantino-esque take on the violence. I whizzed through it in a weekend.
