Quite accurate in regards to street fashion--yes, that includes everything from the bedroom to the ballroom--but I found the delivery similar to the best advice from the Popular Girl in school. There's a self-approved attitude that's easy to fall for, and she's not just come up with these things out of thin air or simply for spite. Yet, in our every (wo)man quest for respect, there's a strong suggestion of "You're missing the mark." It's mentioned, but not detailed, that we must love and honour ourselves BEFORE we even reach for the rack. Yes, it flows both ways, so how does one learn to dress in a manner that resonates respect? This book lists one suggestion after another, and absolutely NONE of them are written in stone, even if it reads that way. Test each with a large grain of salt (preferably gourmet sea salt), and choose for yourself what reflects the best YOU possible. Voila, now you're stylish, and anyone who tries to take you down is merely jealous of your fabulousness.
I loved this book!! The style they like is exactly my style so I agreed on everything. also, since in the cover there's a photo of Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's, I had the feeling that she was the one that wrote the whole book while I was reading it! I liked it a lot, seriously! I recommend it to everybody!
This book is fantastic, anyone who wants to dress well must read this book, its accurate, its inspiring, its funny. a must read for any style conscious woman! best quote so far "No one likes to look like a sausage ready to burst" that does seem to be the 'fashion' in my town
Loved this book! It is a quick read - I love the vocabulary & expressions from the British author. The quotes from famous fashion icons & designers were especially fun.
Loved this book. It is a smaller size but is packed with masses of useful information. It is more suitable for women over 25 who have a stable source of income but we can all learn tips from it.
Kirjoittaja on ilmeisesti yrittänyt saada aikaan kevyen humoristista tekstiä, mutta vaikutelma on ennemminkin vaivaannuttava, ja siitä paistaa läpi 2000-luvun alku.
