The Kyoto Costume Institute (KCI) collects and preserves outstanding examples of fashion through the centuries. The institute also conducts research, subsequently exhibiting or publishing its findings. In 2002 Chief Curator Akiko Fukai directed the publication of the book FASHION. A History from the 18th to the 20th Century for TASCHEN, which was the basis for the present edition.

It is more of a coffee table book with wonderful photographs of costumes, dresses. (Tokyo, Japan)
There is a section for each century.
Must have book for anyone who likes the history of fashion like I do. My book also has a different cover.
