I went and bought this one especially because I had enjoyed the first collection so much, and I enjoyed this one also. I know that these books are for preteen up to midteen girls and probably for the U. S market, I was just put off by the heavily religious tone of the books. I'm not going to justify my lack of religion or judge anyone who has God in their lives, it's just not a style that I had come across in British kids/girls books and it is HEAVILY featured throughout. I still stand by my 4 stars because it did always make me want to know what happened next. Let's just say, if the story hadn't been so good, I may have abandoned the books instead of reading the whole series. However, once I finished the lot I felt that it would be nice if the author wrote one now with Tricia as an adult and tying all the loose ends up as it just seemed to stop. You could find out if she ended up with Red, if they had kids, what about all the other people? The books were written in the 90s. I would even wade through the religion just to read a final book.
