Comprises ten sermons delivered to parents by Irenaius, bishop of the Russian city of Ekaterinburg, in 1901. Addressing such topics as building the foundations of godliness in a child's soul, identifying and overcoming the first signs of vices and encouraging the growth of virtues, Bishop Irenaius bases his advice solidly on Christian spiritual principles and the Gospel precepts. Includes prayers for parents and children. Illustrated. 64 pages. —[Source]
Saw this in the bookstore at St. Raphael's in Iowa City. Very struck by the chapter on obedience, and how the home environment must be obedient to God, Church, and law before there is any hope for obedience in the children.
