This brilliant book of hundred pages shows the various instances in Swami Vivekananda's life which shaped him as well us India.
This is very good compilation of important events of his life.
If you can't read the whole big volume.
You much read this small one to understand him and to know why he is given so much importance.

A tribute to one of the most revered leader who shaped generations of Indians on how to live life and be useful to nation and mankind . The book is a collection of his life and events which brings to life why Swamiji was an inspiration not only in india but worldwide.
A few takeaways that i want to implement
1.everything can be sacrificed for truth , but truth cannot be sacrificed for anything.
2. Be pure , live a clean life , defend your dignity,be respectful to others. Be gentle and modest but don't hesitate to be firm when situation requires it.
3. Cowards never win victories
4. Patriotism first then universalism
5. Break not , pull not anything down but build.
6. Know your past. New india has to be built upon indian traditions . We must grow according to our nature.
7. The only service that can be done for downtrodden is to give them education to develop their lost individuality
8. There can be no friendship without equality and there can be no equality if one party is always teaching and the other party always sits at his feet
9. Nothing is necessary but love, sincerity and patience
10. 3 things to make a man or nation great
A. Conviction of the power of goodness
B . Absence of jealousy and hatred
C. Helping all who are trying to be good or doing good .
