Madeline (Maddie) Callahan is a forensic photographer with the Delphi Center who also freelances as a wedding photographer. Following one of her shoots in a park for one of her clients, Maddie is violently assaulted in a nearby parking garage. When the FBI becomes involved, she realizes that this must be more than a routine mugging. Special Agent Brian Beckman makes it his mission to be on point for the case and Maddie, even though she resists his help and ultimately his personal attention.
I really liked this story, primarily because of Maddie and Brian. She’s got a very tragic story that influenced her to pursue a very tough career that she became excellent at and is considered an expert among her peers. I loved learning about what exactly a forensic photographer does and the details were highly interesting and educational. I also never considered the level of danger first responders are exposed to when they show up at a crime scene. Again, the tracer aspects are what drew me to this series and this story delivered. Also, Brian’s tenacity in pursuing Maddie was an intriguing element, including the age differential (he’s younger).
The bad guys in this one were vicious, ratcheting up the suspense level to serious heights. The case was a real poser and I had a tough time putting this one down. It’s one of my favorites so far.

Exposed is Brian Beckman, an FBI agent and Maddie Calhoun, a forensic photographer's story. These two meet when Maddie was mugged after a photo shoot.
Brian and his partner was called to the scene because that photo shoot was right across the street from the bank where their witness was kidnapped from. They believe the mugger that stole Maddie's camera was worried she caught something in the background of the photo shoot.
This was pretty action packed from page one to the end. Brian is a young FBI agent at only 28 years old. He's a mature 28 though, and he has a military background. He's good looking and the ladies all think he's pretty charming. He's instantly drawn to the 34 year old Maddie but she might be the one woman he can't charm.
Maddie is a very hard character. She's experienced every mother's worst nightmare, the loss of her two year old daughter in a hit and run. On top of that, her husbands grieving process was infidelity in their marriage. So when I say her character was hard, I mean she was tough as nails. She has a lot of hurt in her life and her way of dealing with it was to be extremely closed off.
I have a hard time when a character is so stubborn. I know Maddie has every excuse for it, but I still wanted to shake her many times in this book. I really liked Brian and I really liked him for her.
I feel like I am on repeat with this series but it's been true for every book I've read. This suspense in Exposed was enthralling. I just really loved the whole process of solving the case and all the many characters in law enforcement and the Delphi Center that played a part. I'm ready for the next book in the series!

Just finished a marathon reading of the "Tracer" series, and I loved every single minute of it!
I got into the characters, the author's style of writing, and her amazing voice.
The characters became 'real' people for me, and their stories were amazing to read and wonderful to experience.... I TOTALLY got lost in this series.

I loved it! It's a wonderful addition to this romantic/suspense series.
Once again Ms. Griffin's writing, characters, and story-line were top-notch.
Brian and Maddie are an amazingly strong, sexy couple, and it was wonderful to read their journey to one another.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series Beyond Limits which is supposed to be released January 2015 (Elizabeth and Derek's story. YUM!)

Maybe 3.5 stars.
Liked hero pretty well; heroine, too, except for a couple of almost TSTL moments. By the time the story ended, the plot felt a bit too jumbled for me. Then very brief ending that could have resolved the main characters' issues with a couple more pages.
I do like this author's Tracers series and will continue to read it.

EXPOSED is Laura Griffin at her Finest! If you are not a TRACER-A-HOLIC yet...you will be after this! Brian and Maddie steal the show and I didn't want it to end.
Yep...it's Official...I think Brian and Maddie have beat out Alex and Nathan as my favorite Tracer Couple...ok...they are tied for my favorite. What can I say about Brian and Maddie that will implicate how much I adored this book...they are just...Amazing. Laura Griffin has given readers two souls who are not perfect, but they have a balance that just works and with just a look from one to the other, you just know it's love....Swoon....I think I need to go back and re-read some of my Favorite "Brian" moments...
Fans of the TRACERS Series will understand when I say that Laura always writes such amazingly detailed descriptions that reading her books is literally like watching a movie. Such care goes into making each line, each word count, and that is one of the things that I love about her, the dedication she puts forth is unmatched. Normally her Romance Suspense's are equally divided into Romance vs. Suspense, which has you sitting on edge, dying to know what is going to happen next, but with EXPOSED, the romance side shines just a tad brighter and I couldn't have asked for ANYTHING MORE.
Our heroine Maddie had me in tears and then wishing I could fill her shoes for a day. She was SO COOL! Had a serious wall built-up, but with good reason, and I swear, boy did she find herself a KEEPER! Ok..she didn't FIND him, he kinda popped up and just never went away. And Brian...MEGA SWOON...you will fall head over heels for this guy. Laura gave Maddie the perfect hero, strong enough to push back when Maddie tried to push him away...and boy did she try..but he was NOT letting her get away.
In love yet? Oh....it gets better. So if you haven't figured it out, I LOVED this book. I love ALL the TRACERS books, but something about Maddie and Brian pulled on every heartstring I have and I know that I will never forget them. Thank you Laura for writing such an AMAZING couple, I know that if my readers aren't fans of the TRACERS yet, they will be after reading EXPOSED!!

As he looked down into her dark brown eyes, he realized something else. He wanted a relationship with this woman. A real relationship, and he didn't give a damn about any of the crap she seemed to think was an obstacle.

I love ALL the TRACERS books, but something about Maddie and Brian pulled on every heartstring I have and I know that I will never forget them. I've come to really enjoy the Tracer series and in my opinion it is more suspense than romance but that works for me, the simple reason being the suspense is so compelling, I love the whole process, the Delphi Center, everything.
The heroine Maddie is a photographer and a CSI. She works at the Delphi Center and does some freelance work and on one such gig, she is attacked but the attack is more because as it turns out she is in the middle of federal investigation, an investigation that brings FBI agent Brian, former military and a man six years younger into her life.
Brian is kind of new to the FBI but he has been to war and he is hot, smart and has a way with women but that doesn't seem to work with Maddie who notices his interest and does her level best to avoid it. The reasons for that are many, first the age, second the gossip it would trigger but the biggest obstacle is Maddie herself and her grief. Five years ago her two year old daughter was killed in a hit and run and that changed her life, ended her marriage and her career path.
Maddie has thrown herself into her work, helping people get closure and she cannot let go of the guilt and let herself be happy so when she lets go one night with Brian , she tells him straight off that it can't be more and tells him she wants to be friends.
Now, the investigative aspect is compelling. They are investigating a doctor, suspected of not just writing prescriptions but also manufacturing pills. A young woman came forward but she was kidnapped and more connections with other such women keep popping up, all leading back to the doctor.
Maddie finds her life in danger and that and Brian's interest in her keeps him and the FBI around. I loved Brian, he was obstinate despite the fact that Maddie did everything to discourage him.
Exposed I have to admit is another solid addition to this great series and thought it may not feature the most compelling or even visible romance it still makes one want to keep turning the pages.

Not my favorite of the series. Maddie was a tragic martyr because of the loss of the 2 year old daughter in an auto accident. After 5 years, she still can't let go of her grief. The plot was good, but the romance has some problems due to Maddie holding onto the past and subjecting herself to endless hours for her work as a CSI photographer.
Maddie also does other photography work and it was during one of these shoots that she captures the abduction of an FBI witness. She is mugged and her camera stolen. She also becomes a target.
Brian, a rookie FBI agent, is part of a task force gathering evidence and it is his witness that is abducted. He has a instant attraction when he meets her. He admires her and wants to protect her and other things as well.

What a fabulous thrilling story, Exposed had me hooked from the first few pages.
Maddie Callahan is a forensic photographer for a crime lab, but she sometimes takes freelance photos on the side. While taking pictures of an engaged couple in a park, she might have accidentally captures a kidnapping of a federal witness. Maddie is beaten and mugged for her equipment, pulling her into a precarious investigation of a very dangerous criminal.
Brian Beckman, FBI Agent, has been investigating the “Doctor” for months and his witness has gone missing. The only break is a photographer and what she might have captured on her camera. There is something magnetic about his attraction to Maddie, but he fears that she might become the next victim. Brian, much to Maddie's dismay, will have to pull his resources to protect her... the closure they get to solving the mysteries behind the “Doctor” the more danger Maddie finds herself in.

I discovered the Tracers series by Laura Griffin a few years ago and just like any great series, when I read the first I couldn’t put it down. Then I read all of them. Now not only do I have them on my ipad and Kindle. I also have them in paperback. So just image my fan girl moment when KT Book Reviews contacted Laura Griffin and not only did she respond to us, she also supplied us with an autographed advance copy of Exposed for review. GAH!!!! (K can imagine it as I was on the phone with her at the time and scared the crap out of her with my fan girl gasp! *giggle*)
If you haven’t read the Tracers series it is a collection of books centered around The Delphi Center, a state of the art forensic lab. After the murder of Vanessa Haley Jones, a Texas heiress, by a man if not for the time it took to run DNA, should have been in jail long ago. Her mother donates her mass wealth to create a private facility used to solve crimes. Cutting red tape and helping to solve cases before it is too late for someone else.
Each story features a different agent or investigator solving a crime with the help of Delphi. There is always a romance playing as a back-story. Swoon worthy men and kick ass women. Great chemistry on paper can be hard to portray and Laura Griffin does an amazing job of keeping the right balance. Sexy, smart and heavy on the suspense.
EXPOSED is no exception and in my opinion her best book in the series so far.

After the murder of Vanessa Haley Jones, a Texas heiress, by a man if not for the time it took to run DNA, should have been in jail long ago. Her mother donates her mass wealth to create a private facility used to solve crimes. Cutting red tape and helping to solve cases before it is too late for someone else.
Each story features a different agent or investigator solving a crime with the help of Delphi. There is always a romance playing as a back-story. Swoon worthy men and kick ass women. Great chemistry on paper can be hard to portray and Laura Griffin does an amazing job of keeping the right balance. Sexy, smart and heavy on the suspense.
EXPOSED is no exception and in my opinion her best book in the series so far.

Love this series! Another good one!

I am a major fan of romantic suspense and Laura Griffin's Tracers is one of my favorites. I got caught up in other genres and let this series slide for awhile. Ending 2016 catching up on the gang from Delphi was a great idea. The suspense keeps getting better and better and the couples are always highly intelligent and you'll never find yourself bored from start to finish.
Maddie, a forensic photographer and Brian Beckham, a FBI agent were perfectly cast. When Maddie is mugged while taking photos, her camera is stolen. This is where Brian enters the picture. The evil villain adds plenty of intrigue to the story with so many twists and turns that you'll never be bored. As always, there are scenes from the Delphi Center, along with characters we've met in previous stories.
Another terrific installment from LG in the entertaining and captivating Tracers Series.

Exposed is the second book I have had the pleasure to read by Laura Griffin from the Tracers series. Laura Griffin has a way of grabbing your attention from page one and holding it tight all the way to the end. The drama & suspense started early in Exposed and kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page. To say I really enjoyed this book is putting it lightly! Exposed is most certainly a page turner.
Maddie Callahan is a woman that is made out of tough stuff. She has survived so many tragedies in her life and it has made her stronger. She has found her outlet in helping solve other crimes and helping those families be able to find closure. She uses her talent as a photographer to photograph crime scenes. She is a CSI that works at the Delphi Center. I bonded with Maddie right away. When she finds herself a possible witness in an kidnapping connected to a major crime ring she meets Brian Beckmann an FBI agent. Maddie and Brian have an instant attraction. When Maddie finds herself in some dangerous situations Brain decides to make Maddie's safety as his own person responsibility.
I loved how Brian, the strong, tough, FBI agent also has a sweet side. Maddie doesn't want to get involved in another relationship because she doesn't want to be hurt again. Brian is willing to give her the time she needs to adjust to their friendship turning into more.
Maddie & Brian work really well together. Brain isn't crazy about the idea of Maddie assisting with the investigation but he soon learns Maddie is a determined woman . she has found herself in the middle of this mess and she is going to help solve the case. They are a very compelling couple with so much chemistry. It was so much fun watching their love develop.
I absolutely adored this book, it has drama, suspense, and romance all the things that make a book great. If you enjoy a good mystery romance I think you will truly enjoy Exposed. If you are already a Laura Griffin fan I know you are going to be anxious to pick up the latest in the tracers series. I loved it and CAN NOT wait to see what Laura Griffin has in store for us next.

I loved how Brian, the strong, tough, FBI agent also has a sweet side. Maddie doesn't want to get involved in another relationship because she doesn't want to be hurt again. Brian is willing to give her the time she needs to adjust to their friendship turning into more.
Maddie & Brian work really well together. Brain isn't crazy about the idea of Maddie assisting with the investigation but he soon learns Maddie is a determined woman . she has found herself in the middle of this mess and she is going to help solve the case. They are a very compelling couple with so much chemistry. It was so much fun watching their love develop.
I absolutely adored this book, it has drama, suspense, and romance all the things that make a book great. If you enjoy a good mystery romance I think you will truly enjoy Exposed. If you are already a Laura Griffin fan I know you are going to be anxious to pick up the latest in the tracers series. I loved it and CAN NOT wait to see what Laura Griffin has in store for us next.

The story’s pace is a perfect blend of ups and downs that lets you bond with Maddie and Brian as they solve their case and deal with the explosive chemistry between them. A definite must have!

I love the Tracers books and this one was not a disappointment!
The stories in these books are really, really good and interesting.
Here the story is about Maddie becoming an inadvertent witness of a kidnapping. She’s not aware at first that she witnessed anything, but as the investigation goes on, she gets involved more and more.
Brian is an FBI agent following the case of Serbian mobster who abducted a young woman and since Maddies is a witness he must be in contact with her. As it goes in RS, he’s very attracted to Maddie.
But Maddie does not require protection. On the contrary she’s the one helping him and his investigation with the help of all her friends from the Delphi Center.
The story works very well and in a very logical way. The romantic part is interwoven evenly and is hot. Brien cannot hold his hands from Maddie. And Maddie, with all the very big problems she has with relationships cannot shut down her own attraction towards Brian.
Very solid book. It’s always a pleasure to read Ms. Griffin’s book. She has a nice way of telling the story, of making it interesting and logic. Great book!

Laura Griffin writes the kind of books that I love. They have action, suspense, great characters and as always, the HEA. The books are all stand alone reads, but they all have the Delphi Center and the forensic team involved in some fashion, and the secondary characters are important to each story. This book centers around Maddie and Brian. I loved Maddie. She was such a strong character, with a tragic past. I loved how Brian was so strong and patient with Maddie. I don't normally write reviews, but I love this series so much and eagerly wait for the next book to come out. I was thrilled to receive an ARC and couldn't wait to tell everyone just how much I loved it. I definately recommend this book, in fact, the whole series.

A 5-star suspense plus an interesting hero minus a bland heroine and minus a melodramatic and angsty romance = 3 stars.
It seems that this author and I don't quite hit it off. There are too many pet peeves of mine here to enjoy her stories, although in her favor I must say that the suspense has been superb and the action scenes fabulous.
The heroine, the romance and the abundance of coincidences have let me down.
Maddie, the heroine, is a forensic photographer. And she is the best in her field. She is so organized, so thoughtful, you can say she is perfect in her line of work. Then there is all the drama in her personal life, which is the burden that the author hangs around her neck and does not let her lift her head. As always in these situations, a character anchored in the past and with no interest in leaving it behind soon becomes tiresome and boring.
However, the hero has shone in this story. He has been the mature, sincere and courageous character. The opposite to her. My number one pet peeve: I love my heroines to be the character that shines, not perfect, but interesting.
The romance, therefore, is more of the above: boring. It becomes tedious to read over and over and over again the same thing. Not even the hero, Brian, in all his perfection has been able to save it. We can say this is my pet peeve number two.
And the third are the coincidences. I think Maddie has been in a life-threatening situation up to 4 times. Once could be okay. Two, well, maybe we can chalk it up to bad luck. More than two means that either the heroine gets into trouble constantly because she is an idiot or that the plot is full of coincidences ... There has been a bit of everything here. And worst of all, just making Maddie a law enforcement officer everything would have been believable and natural. But a civilian has no business going to crime scenes or being involved in car chases with a FBI agent. Nope. No badge no fun.
By the way, up to 4 times a law enforcement officer orders Maddie not to leave the vehicle she is in while he /she goes to a crime scene and not once Maddie follows that order. We can call this coincidences or TSTL moments. Take your pick.
Neither has the POV from the bad guy helped (you know from the beginning who he is, no suspense here) nor that of the victim, which has been totally out of my comfort zone and difficult to read.
Of course, as I said at the beginning, the suspense is fantastic. And the action scenes are incredible, the kind that take your breath away. So good.
I'm going to look for a story in which the heroine is a law enforcement officer and the personal drama is close to zero because I'm sure that then it will be a read I enjoy.

Como siempre en estas situaciones, un personaje anclado en el pasado y sin ningún interés por dejarlo atrás pronto se vuelve pesado, aburrido y chocante.
Sin embargo, el héroe ha brillado en esta historia. Ha sido el personaje maduro, sincero y valiente. Todo lo opuesto a ella. Mi pega número 1: La heroína tiene que ser el personaje que brilla, no perfecto, pero sí interesante.
El romance, por tanto, es más de lo mismo: aburrido y tedioso de leer una y otra y otra vez lo mismo. Ni el héroe, Brian, en toda su perfección ha podido salvarlo. Esta es la pega número 2.
Y la tres pero no menos importante son las coincidencias. Creo que hasta en 4 ocasiones ha estado Maddie en una situación de peligro/ vida o muerte. Una vez, vale. Dos, bueno, a lo mejor es mala suerte. Más de dos significa que o la heroína se mete en líos constantemente porque es idiota o que la trama está llena de coincidencias… Aquí ha habido de todo un poco. Y lo peor de todo es que tan sólo con convertir a Maddie en una agente de la ley todo hubiese sido creíble y natural. Pero una civil no pinta nada acudiendo a escenas de crímenes o metida en persecuciones con un agente del FBI. Nada. O placa o a casa.
Por cierto, hasta en 4 ocasiones un agente de la ley le ordena a Maddie no abandonar el vehículo en el que se encuentra mientras él/ella acude a la escena de un crimen y ni una sola vez Maddie cumple esa orden. A esto lo podemos llamar coincidencias o TSTL. Tú eliges.
Tampoco a ayudado el punto de vista del malo (se sabe desde el principio quién es, este no es el suspense) ni el de la víctima, que ha estado totalmente fuera de mi zona de confort, y tampoco aporta nada salvo dolor.
Eso sí, como ya dije al empezar, el suspense es fantástico. Y las escenas de acción son increíbles, de esas que te dejan sin aliento. Buenísimas.
Voy a buscar una historia en la que la heroína sea agente de la ley y el drama personal cercano a cero porque estoy segura de que entonces sí, va a ser una lectura para disfrutar.

Review: Oh I thoroughly enjoyed this one and to think I wouldn't when I first learned about the age gap and that Maddie had an ex-husband but something about the plot just clicked for me. Having Maddie be in constant danger and Beckman being all alpha and protective probably had a lot to do with it.

Laura Griffin is well-known for writing romantic suspense novels, and I’ve had her works on my to-read list for quite a while. I was excited to be given the opportunity to review her upcoming release Exposed. At first, I was worried that I would be lost since I hadn’t read any of the previous books. However, I felt this book can stand alone, and I was able to follow the main plot easily. I think I just missed out on the back-story of some of the characters who played minor roles in this novel but were featured in previous books within this series.
The intense action in the first chapter of Exposed grabbed my attention, and from that point, all I could do was hang on for a romantic, exciting, and suspenseful read!

Maddie Callahan is the protagonist in the story, and I found her to be a flawed but likeable character. She is a talented photographer who works for the Delphi Center crime-scene unit by day and freelances in her spare time. After the death of her two-year-old daughter, Maddie became determined to use her skills to help solve murders and to bring justice to victims of crimes. By choice, Maddie has chosen to focus solely on her career with little time given to having a social life. Numbness is the key to her holding everything together.
When she is attacked walking to her car after a photo shoot in a park, she is introduced to the very sexy FBI agent, Brian Beckman. Brian and his partner are in the vicinity working on a kidnapping case and think Maddie’s attack may be related. Maddie’s pictures may have inadvertently captured the identity of the kidnappers or can at least provide clues to find the suspects.
The FBI is determined to find Jolene, the kidnapped woman, who is a major witness in an operation to take down a lethal drug dealer, Gordon Mladovic. Brian suspects Mladovic is behind the kidnapping, but needs to find evidence to support his belief. The guilt Brian feels about the kidnapping occurring while Jolene was under his protection pushes his urgency to find Jolene still alive. The fact that Maddie’s photographs have made her a target for elimination and that she has access to the best technology offered by the Delphi Center provide the impetus to bring Maddie and Brian together.
Griffin does a great job of smoothly alternating points of view between Brian and Maddie to reveal the motivations behind their actions. At times, she also switches to Jolene’s point-of-view to reveal the direness of her situation, and this increases the suspense of the story, as readers wait to discover if she can be rescued in time. Griffin also includes the antagonist’s point of view to provide insight into what drives his evil intentions. Mladovic’s greed and desire for power are realistic motivations for the story’s conflict.
Beckman has an immediate attraction to Maggie, who is a bit older than he, and he is confounded when she acts oblivious to his good looks and charm. Secretly, however, Maddie is attracted to Brian’s confident nature, motivated attitude as well as his intellect and perceptiveness. His handsome looks only magnify the attraction. Nevertheless, because of his young age and her fear of relationships, Maddie is determined to stay far away from the temptation of Brian Beckman.

Maddie is unable to move on with her life since the death of her daughter. Five years later, she still grieves the loss and has built emotional walls around her heart for protection. During the scenes where she poignantly reflects on her beloved memories of her child, I found myself tearing up.
Brian’s persistence in his pursuit of a romantic relationship with Maddie contrasted with her resistance to allow him to get close kept me engaged throughout the story. I couldn’t help but cheer Brian on and hope that he can get through to Maddie so she will deal with and move beyond her fears.
As the plot develops, life-threatening dramatic events lead to a nail-biting climax and a practical resolution. To sum up, Griffin has written a cohesive and unified story that effectively blends action-filled suspense and a tender romance. I am now a Laura Griffin fan and can’t wait to dive into the other books in this series.

Following a freelance photo shoot of an engaged couple, forensic photographer, Maddie Callahan is mugged and beaten. The only item stolen is her camera. Given the time and location of the photo shoot, the FBI, and more particularly, Special Agent Brian Beckman, believe that Maddie saw or photographed the kidnapping of a federal witness, Jolene Murphy. Jolene has information related to the nefarious actions of a drug lord known as The Doctor who already has kidnapped, tortured, and killed other witnesses. There is another scenario and that is that Maddie saw the kidnappers.
Maddie is a forensic photographer for the elite Delphi Center crime lab. The Center's cutting edge technology and exceptional staff make it a resource sought by a plethora of governmental agencies. Accordingly, she is used to being part of violent investigations and, since her life may be at stake, wants to assist in this one.
Brian, a gorgeous, cocky, and young agent is on his first big case. He believes that Jolene's kidnapping is his fault and he does not want Maddie involved in the case. Moreover, due to his immediate attraction to her, he feels even more protective of her. Maddie, however, is a strong, confident, and independent woman who convinces Brian that the resources of the Delphi Center are as good as and more expeditious than those of the FBI. Brian is forced to agree with her assessment and, as they spend more time together, he shares more evidence and information with her.
While it becomes obvious to friends of Maddie and Brian that the attraction is mutual, Maddie resists Brian's persistent pursuit of her. As the result of an old but deep-seated tragedy that she carries and a humiliating divorce, Maddie has built a wall around her heart. She has no intention of being hurt again. Although their physical relationship progresses, Maddie is insistent that he is too young and that people will talk for them to have a future together. Brian continually rejects these excuses particularly after he learns about the demons that haunt her. His patience, understanding and constancy give Maddie the ability to trust him and gradually knock down that wall.
While Maddie and Brian struggle with their personal lives the investigation is stymied. Then, Maddie and her team find invaluable DNA evidence that confirms the identity of The Doctor and his cohorts. As the case continues, the interest in Maddie by The Doctor intensifies and she definitely is in his cross hairs. While Brian tries to protect Maddie, she repeatedly places herself physically in danger, much to Brian's exasperation. Ultimately, they find that they must work together to try to save Jolene and themselves and catch The Doctor and his henchmen. But, will they succeed in all of their endeavors?
I highly recommend Exposed, and its six predecessors in the Tracers series, to any reader who genuinely enjoys Romantic Suspense, that is, a balance between the two genres.
I prefer to read books in a series in order but it is not necessary. Exposed is a stand-alone read.

Brian, a gorgeous, cocky, and young agent is on his first big case. He believes that Jolene's kidnapping is his fault and he does not want Maddie involved in the case. Moreover, due to his immediate attraction to her, he feels even more protective of her. Maddie, however, is a strong, confident, and independent woman who convinces Brian that the resources of the Delphi Center are as good as and more expeditious than those of the FBI. Brian is forced to agree with her assessment and, as they spend more time together, he shares more evidence and information with her.
While it becomes obvious to friends of Maddie and Brian that the attraction is mutual, Maddie resists Brian's persistent pursuit of her. As the result of an old but deep-seated tragedy that she carries and a humiliating divorce, Maddie has built a wall around her heart. She has no intention of being hurt again. Although their physical relationship progresses, Maddie is insistent that he is too young and that people will talk for them to have a future together. Brian continually rejects these excuses particularly after he learns about the demons that haunt her. His patience, understanding and constancy give Maddie the ability to trust him and gradually knock down that wall.
While Maddie and Brian struggle with their personal lives the investigation is stymied. Then, Maddie and her team find invaluable DNA evidence that confirms the identity of The Doctor and his cohorts. As the case continues, the interest in Maddie by The Doctor intensifies and she definitely is in his cross hairs. While Brian tries to protect Maddie, she repeatedly places herself physically in danger, much to Brian's exasperation. Ultimately, they find that they must work together to try to save Jolene and themselves and catch The Doctor and his henchmen. But, will they succeed in all of their endeavors?
I highly recommend Exposed, and its six predecessors in the Tracers series, to any reader who genuinely enjoys Romantic Suspense, that is, a balance between the two genres.
I prefer to read books in a series in order but it is not necessary. Exposed is a stand-alone read.

Exposed is the seventh book in the Tracers series but it can be read on its own.
Generally speaking Exposed is an enjoyable book full of mystery, action and danger. It is the type of book I normally fall in love with but this missed the mark for me.
The first issue was that this was just a little to long for me. It seemed to go on and on and I felt like it could have been cut down a little. There were a few to many chapters from different characters POVs. I didn’t need to know what all these people were doing and thinking all the time. I would have preferred it to have focused on the two main characters instead of moving around all the time.
I really liked Brian, he is a nice guy who just wants to do his job to the best of his ability. He is caring, thoughtful and hard working. For the life of me I cannot understand why he was interested in Maddie, whom I really, really disliked. She ruined this book for me; she is selfish, stubborn and annoying. She did what she wanted when she wanted and didn’t care if she put herself or anyone else in danger. She ran around like some kind of hero but in reality she was just a pain in the bum.
It is a real shame because this book had potential but Maddie wasn’t for me which meant this book wasn’t either. The writing and plot was really good and I will definitely be checking out more of this series, and I am sure I will like the other books more.

I always know I’m going to love Laura Griffin’s books because I am sure to have the right amount of suspense with a solid, realistic romance. Too, I can count on a visit from former characters, sort of like catching up with old friends. In all aspects of good story telling, Exposed is another Griffin winner.
When Maddie Callahan, crime scene photographer for the elite Delphi Center, gets mugged after a side job photographing a newly engaged couple, she quickly deduces the act wasn’t random. Before long, too many men want her for various reasons, including FBI Special Agent Brian Beckman.
Beckman intends to be professional and keep Maddie at arms’ length, but that idea soon fizzles away. She’s not only beautiful, but she’s smart too, and he begins sharing time, thoughts and case details with her. The story continues to unfold with more intrigue as Brian tries to keep Maddie safe, find a missing victim and uncover the connection between the two.
With rich characters and a captivating suspense plot (which literally starts on page 4!), Ms. Griffin kept me turning pages long into the nights. At times, though, I had to STOP reading because the suspense was so intense that dark shadows and innocent sounds around my house quickly turned into sinister plots connected to Maddie’s plight. The romance grows slowly, casually, and perfectly. And of course, as is the case with most of Ms. Griffin’s books, when I got to the last page, I sighed.
If you love a good romance with a solid suspense plot, don’t miss Exposed. I’m telling you, you won’t regret one second of your time with Brian, Maddie and the Delphi crew!

Another fantastic book in the Tracer series. I absolutely love these books and am always looking forward to the next one. The book centers around Maddie and Brian. Maddie works at the Delphi Center as a CSI and Brian is a FBI agent. Maddie meets Brian after she is mugged and this ties into a case he is working on. From the start there is that chemistry between the two leads. Brian certainly had a challenge with Maddie. She is a bit older than he is and tried to use this as a road block in their relationship. Both of the characters are so very likeable. I loved how Brian was so confident both in his career and in pursuing Maddie. He was so sensitive to the loss of her daughter. It is full of the great suspense I have to come to count on in her books.
Laura has an amazing way of pulling you into her stories and making everything seem so real. I find the Delphi Center so fascinating! It makes me want to go work there! I also love how she incorporates past characters into the current story. It is so great to have some follow up on them. I will be looking forward to the next book in this series! Write fast Laura! :)

This is another novel in Laura Griffin's Tracers series, and they just keep getting better! This story starts out with a shot of adrenaline that doesn't let you go till the last chapter. I even found myself holding my breath a few times!
Maddie Callahan is a forensic photographer working for the Delphi Center crime lab. To make some extra money on the side, she does wedding photography. She is divorced, and a workaholic trying to shut out a tragedy in her life, and a failed marriage. Brian Beckham is a young FBI agent working protection for a federal witness. Their paths cross when Maddie is mugged after an afternoon taking engagement pictures for a client. She is thrown to the ground attacked, and her camera stolen.
This story has twists and turns that to try and explain would provide major spoilers. We meet characters from the previous novels, and the amazing technology being constantly upgraded at the Delphi Center.
This novel is an example of romantic suspense at it's best. I recommend it highly.

When I started this book, I was expecting an okay-ish read. But I was pleasantly surprised because of the characters' three-dimensional existence.
Maddie Callahan lives a mediocre existence after the death of her daughter. She has thrown herself into work from doing wedding photography to forensic CSI work to framing pictures. She has little time for anything else. But when she is mugged and her camera taken, she finds herself embroiled in a FBI investigation case.
Brian Beckmann is one of the FBI agents involved in the case. From the first moment, readers are let to know that Brian is very much interested in Maddie. But from the get go, the poor guy gets the brush off because of his age. He is a couple years younger than Maddie. Not to mention the fact that Maddie has willingly closed herself from the joys of life. But Brian has patience, a lot of patience, and he slowly worms his way into her life.
For me, the suspense plot was secondary to the development of the characters. However, just as a warning. The romance is very slow to develop and you need lots of patience

It's nice to take a break from the paranormal and delve into those romantic suspense books.
Exposed is the story of Maddie Callahan, a forensic photographer who works moonlights as a photographer for special occasions. While photographing a couple's engagement photos, she unwittingly takes pictures of a kidnapping in progress. Now Maddie's life is in danger and Brian Beckmann is assigned to protect her.
I liked these two characters. Maddie has a lot of emotional baggage and she tends to close herself off. Maddie lost a young daughter a few years earlier and she is still grieving. After Emma's death, Maddie's marriage broke up as well. Brian joined the FBI after serving in Afghanistan. He is on a task force looking for a material witness who had just been kidnapped. Brian is very much attracted to Maddie, even though she is hesitant because of their age difference.
I literally read this book in one sitting - it was that exciting. This was an action packed read and I can't wait to read more books by this author.

This is definitely one of the stronger volumes in this series. The thriller elements are really well done and the interpersonal stuff is really affecting.
Because this is a plot-based work, the thriller elements are the primary focus and the interpersonal stuff is squeezed in around the edges - which is not to say it isn't given time, but it unfolds around the story, in tandem instead of independently.
Griffin has certain relationship ticks which are visible here - maybe it's a product of a long series - but they're handled adequately, and they don't feel too reminiscent of her other books.
The relationship does feel a little slight and partly unresolved, but I'd rather feel there could be more than wish there were less.

This is one of the better books in the series, in my opinion - the main female, Maddie, isn't as irritating as some of the other female leads. She's a CSI photographer and very quickly becomes a target - muggings, bullets flying, and the (at first) unwanted attention of an FBI agent. Toss in a Russian doctor filling prescriptions of the illegal kind, kidnappings, and torture killings makes for a very good and fast read.
