When two cute kittens are told that Giraffe will visit, they wonder what a giraffe is and become quite alarmed by the answers the other animals give them, but when Giraffe arrives, they all have a rollicking good time.

I picked this book because it seemed like it would be a cute book for younger children. I would use it in an elementary classroom to teach a lesson about not judging others before you actually get to know them. It could also be used to help children understand that is it alright to be curious and ask questions on things they aren't sure about. I would have my students read this during a quiet reading time. I would then have them re-tell the story to me in their own words.
