Once every 10,000 years comes The Sha'Daa, a two-day stretch of time when evil is permitted to cross the cosmic, dimensional barriers of reality, and attack the Earth. Michael H. Hanson's shared-world, dark-fantasy anthology series is a thrilling collection of exciting and frightening tales, penned by a talented army of writers, many making their startling debuts in the fields of urban fantasy, horror, and science fiction. Stories run the gamut from true soul-shaking horror, to wry and ironic takes on the end of reality as we know it. Unlikely heroes in unusual locations around the globe battle not only for their own survival, but for all of humanity.
Michael H. Hanson was born in New York State’s Northcountry, a vast landscape of rivers, forests, and farms.
A transplanted New Yorker, Michael acquired dual-citizenship with his name being entered into Ireland's Foreign Births Entry Book. A haunted Sagittarian, he presently resides in Colorado where he spends his free time spinning both tales of the fantastic, and introspective poetry, while contemplating the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.
There is a wonderful brilliance to this shared world novel. It's well written, quite amazing story. In this book, the end of the world comes every 10,000 and it's that time again which is called Sha Daa. I'm entranced in it and can't put it down though unfortunately I must.
Probably my favorite chapters are the ones where the demon woman is made of motes which she sends out to spy, etc and another is with the lesbian couple. They in particular stand out more than any others, I felt absolutely brilliantly written. Think the interludes are really cool and weren't something that I expected to see.
Excellent! The conceit of the stories in this particular anthology coming from the point of view of an evil character rather than the good guy made for a wonderful read from many perspectives and was an enjoyable diversion from the usual arc of the storyline. Kudos to all the authors!
