I like the book a lot. Like most anthologies, there were both good and not so good contributions. Also, the science in the book is not up to date, being published in 1998. It presented numerous sides to the debate on whether human cloning should be allowed to move forward. There were parts on the science, religious and ethical questions, law and fictional stories concerning the cloning of humans. I find myself leaning towards limited research into human cloning, and do not see why if human cloning could be made safe and effective and proper guidelines could be implemented it should not be available for number of solutions to problems we face today or tomorrow. I see no argument against human cloning from the psychological harm point of view. After, society as a whole does not provide much protection from this in the first place. People will take advantage of others, especially others who are not like them (human clones would be one). Read it, contemplate it, muse it--good reading.
