All in all it was fairly well written, and had me eager to read the next line to see what would happen next.
However, I am not a fan of infanticide, or even insinuated infanticide in a story, hence the rating of three stars. I recognize this as my own prejudice.
As well I felt the ending left a little to be desired just with how calloused this mans wife and own mother were about the potential casualty of the main character.
A great short read, especially for halloween! Reminded me of the short horror stories I used to read when I was in my early teens. Enjoyed it, and if you want a short spooky-story for around the campfire...bring this one!
