It was so bland.
I got the story but the characters were eh.
Not a fan of this book because the author could have wrenched the characters down so many other paths. The ending was bleh as well.
I read a lot of Sci-Fi and am exceptionally jaded.

Disappointing. Story didn’t make much sense to me and seemed very disjointed. For instance, In one paragraph, they’re going into hyperdrive hoping to scan a planet. In the next paragraph, they’re christening the ship. No clue if they found the planet, or were able to scan it, or what they found there if they could. I get it that that isn’t the story the author wanted to tell, but why bring it up at all? And I never did figure out what was in the picture on the cover.
