Great little book. It provides a succinct and readable overview of the Roman period in and around Dorset. Good use of photos and maps to illustrate the material. I particularly liked the clear and readable descriptions, knowledgeable analysis and clear structure. A very good introduction into the subject.

Very readable with a lot of insights into local infrastructure and practices at the time of the Roman arrival and during their occupation. Well set out and well illustrated.
