Really great and well-written book. I was young and uneducated when I read it, and it all made perfect sense.

My favourite book. Hands down. I found it in my high-school library 5 years ago and it is what inspired me to take Psychology in University. It is before it’s time and even now, it has important things to teach anyone who doesn’t mind dusting it off the bookshelf ( I can’t believe it’s 34 years old!). It makes psychology/behaviour/neuroscience assessable to the average reader and also has a lot of amazing history behind it. It discusses the culture back then surrounding the talk of psychology ( and making fun of it) and how things changed and where and how.

This is an excellent introduction to molecular psychology and some of its immediate ethical upshots. I intend on returning to it for further study.

The more that comes out about the brain and chemical effects, the more I appreciate the messages in this book. It was before its time.
