As a journalist in Belgrade, he broke the story of the NATO 'spy' giving away secrets to Serb forces on the web. He speaks a handful of languages but attempts to speak at least twenty more. Matt is 39 and lives in London.
I'm not a huge fan of nonfiction, but I am a fan of this book. There's a nice variety here, from traditional to experimental approaches, from reportage to creative nonfiction. Not every story is a winner, but they're all well done, and some stay with me months later. If you enjoy short, sharp glimpses of the real world as seen through varied lenses, this is a collection you will enjoy.
