The whole point of this book seems to be one long argument to convince the reader to unschool. While I often like to read things that I agree with, this book was really preaching to the choir. I skimmed around, looking for something that might be new information, but it's all old news, and not just because I've read so many books on homeschooling. It was preachy rather than helpful. Maybe I just don't like the overall tone of the book. It might really speak to others, and I don't want to discourage anyone from checking it out, because you never know what's going to do it for people. For me, it wasn't appealing.
