In this collection of short stories, various women explore their deepest desires and fantasies during the holidays. From threesomes to furries, this anthology covers a wide variety of sexual kinks while sharing the magic of the holiday season.
This was the exact sort of read I was looking for at the time; unrealistic storylines with copious amounts of fantastic sex. Yowza! Don't look for anything deeper than this folks, in the case of this book its all about the sex. Which is totally a good thing, if that's what you're in the mood for! I know I was! ;)

Nine authors, nine kinky stories all centered around the Holiday of miracles. Dive into nine erotic tales of kink featuring BDSM, spanking, romance, voyeurism, role playing, paranormal, shifters, elves. You name it, it’s probably in there. Though I’m familiar with only one of the mentioned author’s body of work, I decided to read them all. Anthologies are a great way of getting a taste of something new.
Story #1 – Santa’s Beard by Doris O’Connor
Elements: Menage, M/F/M, Paranormal, Shifters, BDSM, Erotic
Rating: 3.5/5
Forty year old Joanna is single and lives with her two cats, Ben and Bill. She satisfies her kinky fantasies in various BDSM clubs, but has yet to gain entrance to the exclusive Club Ink where there are more experienced Doms. During her shift at the mall playing Santa’s elf, he tells her to sit on his lap and make a wish. She tells him in great detail exactly what it is she wants. The next morning she’s in for two very large surprises.
This was … amusing. I had a feeling the paranormal twist was coming as soon as she made her wish. The sex scenes were sizzling and on the rough side but she asked for it. The only thing I didn’t care for was the term “thick prick”. That word just doesn’t sound sexy to me. Aside from that, this was a hot read.
Story #2 – The Olympian by Sandra Bunino

Olympic hopeful, Rachel Stanton is off on a weekend trip to practice her moves on the slopes. Determined and focused on the upcoming Olympic trails she has no time for a love life. Erik is Crimson Mountain’s Operations Manager whose job it is to make sure that Rachel doesn’t offend the other guests with her notoriously rude behavior on the slopes. When the feisty daredevil decides to ski a roped off area, Erik knows that will not end well. Sure enough, Rachel crashes and is out cold. With no way to call for help, Erik tries to find them shelter. She needs to get out of the cold and those wet clothes. What’s the best way to warm someone up quickly? Skin to skin contact.
I loved this story. Ms Bunino shocked me a little by getting even kinkier than she does in her SRE series. There’s an interesting use of an icicle and a candy cane. On a heat level of 1 to 5, I’d give it a 5. I knew I should have stuck with my skiing lessons back in the day.
Story #3 – Three in a Tub by Giselle Renarde
Elements: Contemporary, Erotic, M/F, Menage M/F/M
Rating: 1/5
Cathy is having her bathroom renovated for her mother who had suffered a stroke. The bath installer, Vance is a nice bit of eye candy that Cathy can appreciate. That is until her tenant and lover, Jeremy decides he needs to mark his territory. At some point the men make nice, and Jeremy ends up telling Vance about Cathy’s secret fantasy. If she’s willing, so are they.
This story felt so weird both in tone and description. For one, none of the characters are appealing. Cathy comes across as a non-descript, middle-aged woman who feels young and alive through Jeremy who is 25 years her junior. Jeremy sounds like he’s whipped. She tells him to do shovel snow, and he walks out with a pout.Then there was this awkward description:
Then there’s Vance. If anyone should have been hot, it’s the handy man. Not so.
and then this
Then there are other descriptive things like his member “half-sitting on the pillow of his balls”.
And I don’t see how three people would fit into one of those walk-in tubs for the elderly.
Story #4 – A Few of My Favorite Things by Seleste deLaney

Autumn has made a few bad decisions in her past. When the opportunity arises for her to escape her present, she grabs it. She signs a contract agreeing to become one of Santa’s elves for 20 years before she can return to the human realm. Santa not only knows who’s been naughty or nice, but he also knows his elves’ deepest wishes. Santa knows all about Autumn’s needs for domination. To complicate her situation, she also has a crush on her friend, Storm, but he seems content to leave her in the friend corner. Maybe it’s for the best. Where she’s rock ‘n’ roll and kink, he’s country and vanilla. But then one night everything changes and she gets one wish granted. Now that she and Storm are a couple, can she give up her kinky lifestyle to please him? But then he finds out about her dark side and her world comes crashing down. Or does it?
Although the love scenes between Autumn and Storm are glossed over, this was still a good read. The only thing that freaked me out was having Santa take over the role of a Dom. That was just weird. I wouldn’t say this was sizzling, but luke warm.
Story #5 – The Man Inside by Lila Shaw
Elements: Office romance, Curvy heroine, Voyeurism, Role playing, Erotic
Rating: 4/5
An ongoing office flirtation with the hot but shy accountant Jonah gives the plus-sized Sam a boost of confidence and a longing to take things further. During the office Christmas party, they both realize the benefit and kinkiness of hiding themselves behind costumes and masks. But when Sam tries to get Jonah to shed the disguise, he’s reluctant to do so. Maybe pretending to be different people is exactly what they need.
This was so hot! I loved the fact that the heroine wasn’t a modelesque size 0. Although Jonah does attempt to explain why he is the way he is, it remained unclear to me. I would have liked to have understood his problem better. They had cute ideas for follow up role playing though.
Story #6 – Who’s Been Naughty and Nice? by Vanessa Devereaux

Sad but funny – her vibrator dies inside of her because she was so overworked, she forgot to buy fresh batteries. Desperate for a man and some real sex, Laura comes across an ad for an agency that fulfills women’s fantasies. Her fantasy is to give up control and have the man take charge. Her wish is fulfilled, but the night seems far from over when a blizzard forces them to spend the night together in the hotel.
Um, wow! There’s bodice and panty ripping involved! Yippy kay yay! David and Laura burn up the pages and the sheets. This story is burned into my brain. I’m going to take a look at Ms Devereaux’s book shelf.
Story #7 – Secrets Santa by Raven McAllan

Is that really the title, or a typo? Anyway, Marian has had a few lonely years. She has known love, until she felt he had betrayed her and then he disappeared, leaving her cynical and bitter and very frustrated. Then at her office’s Christmas party, she begins to hear a voice that seems to answer her every unspoken thought.
I liked the story, but I may have preferred to get the back story before the voice in the head thing. It confused and frustrated me a little that I couldn’t pinpoint where this was going or what was really happening. Then there was the repetitiveness in great detail of how aroused she was.
It seems a lot of their problems was based on a misunderstanding, though I’m not sure why he waited so long to come back and resume his Dom mode as if it wasn’t a big deal. And Marian caves rather easily.
Story #8 – Faith’s Gift by R. Brennan

Faith agrees to take over her friend Laura’s dog and apartment sitting duties for a week. Since Faith is coming off a bad break up, she could use the change of pace. A week in an upscale New York apartment with a big, lazy dog sounds rather appealing. But the huge St. Bernard and unobstructed view of Rockefeller Plaza isn’t the only surprise awaiting her. It seems the very handsome, very wet and almost naked Richard Halstead has a flight delay.
As ridiculous as it sounds, I giggled like a schoolgirl. He can burn any bridge he wants, and I’d forgive him anything. But back to the story. There’s no denying the instant pop and fizz between the two. Though Faith knows it’s foolish to give in to a complete stranger, her ego is still bruised from having caught her ex with another woman and having him blame her for being too boring and predictable. It seems the gauntlet has been thrown and she’s about to prove to herself how unpredictable she can be … given the right incentive. I don’t blame her. Richard sounds like sin and being naughty never sounded so good. Not only did my Kindle melt, but I think my insides turned a little mushy when Faith finds an unexpected surprise the next day. Awww!
Story #9 – A Very Furry Christmas by Jorja Lovett

When she and a friend are invited to the team’s Christmas party, she hopes to get better acquainted with Jason. Only he doesn’t seem to feel the same way. Playing hard to get seems to work for the both of them, and Caitlin gets her fantasy fulfilled.
Well, this was a first. I can honestly say that I have never read any type of kink or fetish that involved a teddy bears, or in her case, plush polar bears. It was both funny and weird all at once. Imagine walking into an adult bedroom only to find it could rival a toy store.
Jason was adorable in trying to truly understand her and come to some conclusion as to whether she was cuckoo or cute. When he reveals his particular kink, it kind of paled in comparison, but it made for a hot scene.
Overall I liked the anthology, but only three stories were really memorable and made me want to check out more stories by these authors. The editor(s) missed a few spelling and grammar mistakes sprinkled throughout, but nothing major. On the average, I get a 3.61, so I’m rounding it up to 4.

Inside Vanilla Free Christmas there are nine individual stories by nine different authors. I have reviewed all of them below. I received a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest, non-reciprocal, review.
Santa's Beard by Doris O'Connor
Joanna volunteers to be one of Santa's elves at the mall and as she goes through the day watching all the children she wonders what it would be like to sit on Santa's lap herself. What would she wish for? She has nothing but two male cats at home and she can't get a real man. At the end of the day her and Santa talk and she finds out that he knows a lot more about her then he originally let on. He is one kinky Santa and makes her open up and reveal all her desires and fantasies involving a very intense BDSM scene with two males. After she speaks Santa says "Wish Granted" Of course she doesn't believe him and goes home.
Wow. The imagination to come up with this story was really something! It's a super creative and thought out story! I can't spoil the story about her wish but boy does it come true. In the most unthinkable way. It left me speechless how comical yet steamy it was. The two men love her and care for her above all others and they finally make her feel special in her steaming hot fantasy BDSM scene. This was a cute short story that I highly recommend.

Rachel is going on a ski trip but her car doesn't quite make it. She stops into a starbucks and meets the 'perfect stranger', Erik who invites her to ride with him. They are both going to the same place after all. When Rachel gets hurt on the secret slope Erik has no choice but to take her to the nearest shelter until daylight. They eventually make it to a log cabin and he makes a fire but it isn't enough to warm her up. He does the only thing he can think of and strips her of his clothes and climbs into bed next to her. Body heat travels the fastest...;) When they do finally get rescued Erik sends them away for another few days so they have more time to make their own heat in the cabin.
This was your basic stuck in the cabin during a blizzard story with lots of sex... only this was smoking hot sex. I really enjoyed it. The characters were developed well for such a short story. This was a cute short story that I highly recommend.
Three in a Tub by Giselle Renarde
This was my first threesome story that I've ever read and it certainly won't be my last. I loved how it was actually based around a bathtub and how the author kept talking about the bath water even during the sexy parts. The author didn't just slack off and make the story based around the sex, there was a real sweet story behind it that I could relate to. Well, besides the sex in a tub with two hotties :) This was a cute, romantic, sexy little story that was a perfect Christmas treat.
A Few of My Favorite Things by Seleste deLaney
Submissive girl Autumn is a girl in Santa's workshop who works along her fellow elves and has a crush on one of the male elves called Storm. They have been working together for a long time and feelings have developed but when Santa calls for her, everything we know about Santa changes as he becomes her powerful Dom. He shows her the ways of the harness but then when she has some time alone with Storm, the sparks fly. They have been best friends forever but then what happens when he finds out about her secret BDSM life with Santa? Well... the magic of Christmas. This was such a perfect romantic erotic story for so many words. I really felt like I knew the characters. The emotions were perfect and I just adored this story.
The Man Inside by Lila Shaw:
This little story starts out with Sam at work e-mailing her boss Jonah. Well being naughty in the e-mails to her boss is more like it. They are boring and normal in person to each other, yet during the e-mails there are many sexy puns that bring them closer until the sparks fly at the company Christmas Party. It bums Sam out when Jonah doesn't seem to be at the Christmas party... until she gets to sit on Santa's lap. Then Sam finds out that Santa is very naughty and loves girls on the naughty list. Sam soon finds out that Jonah is actually Santa... and well Sam shows Santa just how naughty she can be. They use costumes so neither one will see the real person behind the mask.
This is a super sexy short story and in the short story the author managed to develop the characters completely without leaving anything to imagination. It's a very emotional story about really trusting your partner to know the real you. Everything is so detailed that you could feel you were Sam at the Christmas part sitting on Santa's lap. In the end can love conquer the masks? Will Sam and Jonah be able to love each other the way they are, without the masks on? Well you have to read it for yourself! Go! I highly recommend it.
Who's Been Naughty and Nice? by Vanessa Devereaux
I really liked this story and it has so much potential for a sequel. I loved how it started out as her fantasy and then ended up being a romantic christmas wish. I think the characters could have been developed just a tiny bit more but it is a short story so I can understand. The storyline was wonderful and the sexy parts were hot! gotta love a sexy man in charge ;)
Secrets Santa by Raven McAllan
Wow. This is a sexy secret Santa for sure! This is an intense paranormal sexy with some BDSM aspects. I totally feel that I can relate to the characters even though it's such a short story. I feel connected to them in such a way that when the story ended I instantly wanted more. This was extremely well done.
Faith's Gift by R. Brennan
I don't know where to start with this story... it was just amazing, sexy, hot, wonderful, kinky... oh gosh I could go on and on. Faith meets a sexy bachelor who gives her the time of her life in his huge "house". He totally takes control of her and ties her up giving her a mind blowing experience. There are so many details in this short story that I found myself feeling as though I was there! Oh my god, the ending left me in tears! Such a wonderful incredible heartwarming story! This aint fifty shades, this is so much better! I am totally wanting more of these two amazing characters and I will be certainly be checking out more of this author!

Joanna volunteers to be one of Santa's elves at the mall and as she goes through the day watching all the children she wonders what it would be like to sit on Santa's lap herself. What would she wish for? She has nothing but two male cats at home and she can't get a real man. At the end of the day her and Santa talk and she finds out that he knows a lot more about her then he originally let on. He is one kinky Santa and makes her open up and reveal all her desires and fantasies involving a very intense BDSM scene with two males. After she speaks Santa says "Wish Granted" Of course she doesn't believe him and goes home.
Wow. The imagination to come up with this story was really something! It's a super creative and thought out story! I can't spoil the story about her wish but boy does it come true. In the most unthinkable way. It left me speechless how comical yet steamy it was. The two men love her and care for her above all others and they finally make her feel special in her steaming hot fantasy BDSM scene. This was a cute short story that I highly recommend.
The Olympian by Sandra Bunino
Rachel is going on a ski trip but her car doesn't quite make it. She stops into a starbucks and meets the 'perfect stranger', Erik who invites her to ride with him. They are both going to the same place after all. When Rachel gets hurt on the secret slope Erik has no choice but to take her to the nearest shelter until daylight. They eventually make it to a log cabin and he makes a fire but it isn't enough to warm her up. He does the only thing he can think of and strips her of his clothes and climbs into bed next to her. Body heat travels the fastest...;) When they do finally get rescued Erik sends them away for another few days so they have more time to make their own heat in the cabin.
This was your basic stuck in the cabin during a blizzard story with lots of sex... only this was smoking hot sex. I really enjoyed it. The characters were developed well for such a short story. This was a cute short story that I highly recommend.
Three in a Tub by Giselle Renarde
This was my first threesome story that I've ever read and it certainly won't be my last. I loved how it was actually based around a bathtub and how the author kept talking about the bath water even during the sexy parts. The author didn't just slack off and make the story based around the sex, there was a real sweet story behind it that I could relate to. Well, besides the sex in a tub with two hotties :) This was a cute, romantic, sexy little story that was a perfect Christmas treat.

Sam soon finds out that Jonah is actually Santa... and well Sam shows Santa just how naughty she can be. They use costumes so neither one will see the real person behind the mask.
This is a super sexy short story and in the short story the author managed to develop the characters completely without leaving anything to imagination. It's a very emotional story about really trusting your partner to know the real you. Everything is so detailed that you could feel you were Sam at the Christmas part sitting on Santa's lap. In the end can love conquer the masks? Will Sam and Jonah be able to love each other the way they are, without the masks on? Well you have to read it for yourself! Go! I highly recommend it.
Who's Been Naughty and Nice? by Vanessa Devereaux
I really liked this story and it has so much potential for a sequel. I loved how it started out as her fantasy and then ended up being a romantic christmas wish. I think the characters could have been developed just a tiny bit more but it is a short story so I can understand. The storyline was wonderful and the sexy parts were hot! gotta love a sexy man in charge ;)
Secrets Santa by Raven McAllan
Wow. This is a sexy secret Santa for sure! This is an intense paranormal sexy with some BDSM aspects. I totally feel that I can relate to the characters even though it's such a short story. I feel connected to them in such a way that when the story ended I instantly wanted more. This was extremely well done.
Faith's Gift by R. Brennan
I don't know where to start with this story... it was just amazing, sexy, hot, wonderful, kinky... oh gosh I could go on and on. Faith meets a sexy bachelor who gives her the time of her life in his huge "house". He totally takes control of her and ties her up giving her a mind blowing experience. The Olympian has Olympic hopeful Rachel Stanton trying to blow off some steam and continue training but a wrong turn has her sharing a cabin with the new Crimson Mountain’s Operations Manager. Rachel is stubborn and arrogant to a fault. She finds her pushiness and rudeness does nothing to push Erik away, it only makes him more interested. This was a hot story about two people finding each other.
Three in a Tub is a sweet story of an older woman and a younger man. When Cathy has a new tub installed in her home she finds herself in a position she never thought she would be in. She loves Jeremy but cannot see why he would love a woman like her. Jeremy surprises her with more than one surprise on this day. This is a sweet story that shows how much love can make everything better.

The Man Inside is a story about hiding our true selves. Coworkers Sam and Jonah are in for the time of their lives at the office holiday party. This story takes you on an adventure with these two. I never expected it to take the turns that it does. Love will always win and this story shows us this.
Who’s Been Naughty and Nice? Has Laura giving herself a Christmas present, instead of spending it alone she takes matters into her own hands. An unexpected turn of events has Laura enjoying more than she paid for. This story shows us that love will find a way no matter what.

I can't say enough about this group of stories. All of them are great and in particular, Lila Shaw's The Man Inside has a sexy Santa that will have any woman swooning. Jonah is a man of mystery. Sam is both intrigued and a little scared of how he makes her feel. At the company Christmas party, the two will have an interlude so smoking hot you won't be able to put down your e-reader and will be reaching for an iced egg nog latte to quench the scorch. I loved reading "The Session" with Jonah fighting his urge to stay indoors and loved how he finds and seduces Sam. I will never look at a Santa suit quite the same way again. Hello naughty Christmas fetish!

I always dread rating an anthology because of course some stories will be more appealing than others. There were no real standouts - all were written well and each were short enough for me to read in between crazy holiday preparations. They were delicious stories that were definitely vanilla-free.

Wow I absolutely loved this anthology!! It will get you into Christmas spirit and keep you warm during those long cold winter nights. It was smoking hot and might even lead you to think the naughty list is even better than the good list. Sometimes with anthos one or two stories are not quite up to snuff to the rest but that is not the case here. Each story was great and as you guessed with the title, kink and BDSM are everywhere.
With 9 stories it had a bit everything. It had shifters and magic. Lots of naughty Santas and a more than a few fantasies are played out in these pages. I loved the Santa Dom and his naughty Elf! The variety of the stories is fantastic. Each author has a different style so for it blend together so well I was amazed. It shows different spectrums of BDSM and even changed my mind about a certain kink. None of the sex was boring or mediocre. I know sometimes it can get a little stale by the end but the changing up the kinks kept me glued to every word.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for an erotic holiday read. Just be prepared this is not your childhood Santa at play.

Mirian certainly doesn’t expect there to be anything strange or unusual at her company’s Christmas party. But that is exactly what happens when she starts to have a conversation with someone in her head. Throughout the party the voice suggests many things to her, many that turn her on more and more as the night moves on. After the party, when she returns home, the truth and the man behind the voice becomes visible. Things will change, if she can accept him as he is.
Faith’s Gift – R. Brennan – 3 Stars
Faith agrees to dog and housesit when her friend asks her. She isn’t a fan of dogs but spending time alone after her recent breakup is exactly what she needs, so she accepts. She just didn’t expect the owner to still be there when she arrived at the apartment she was supposed to be housesitting. But the instant attraction between them has her agreeing to stay with him and to do what he asks of her.
A Very Furry Christmas – Jorja Lovett – 3 Stars
Caitlin thinks all her dreams have come true when she meets Jason. He shows up where she works and sets her libido on fire. That’s because she has a unique turn on and he’s wearing it. But will they be able to move past that and can they embrace each other’s quirks.
Overall this anthology was a fun read. The books were all different except that they all had a Christmas theme.

The Olympian – Sandra Bunino – 2 Stars
Rachel wants to be on the Olympic ski team and after an accident that almost ended her dream she is determined to make the team and show everyone she still has it. However she is known to be temperamental so the ski resort where she is staying has Erik keep tabs on her while she is there. But after her nosiness causes and accident she ends up needing Erik to save her, in more ways than one.
Three in a Tub – Giselle Renarde – 3 Stars
Cathy is preparing for her mother to move in with her. The first step is having a new bathtub installed. Between her much younger boyfriend and the hot tub installer whose name she can’t remember can they make her fantasy come true? Will they be able to help her realize that she doesn’t need to do things alone?

Autumn is an elf but with a secret. She wants to be with Storm who she has lusted after since he arrived at the North Pole. But he doesn’t know what she needs or what secret she has. After they spend time together he seeks to learn more about her. But when he learns what she needs can he be the person to give her that?

Have yourself a Merry Naughty Christmas filled with nine kinky stories to keep you up at night.
Vanilla-Free Christmas is just as kinky as Keyboards and Kink. Vanilla-Free Christmas is exactly that, there is nothing vanilla about any of the nine stories in this anthology.
Every story has something that sets it apart from the others, but the theme is KINK and lots of it. There is a bit of paranormal and demigods thrown in the mix as well.
The three stories that stand out, at least for me, are:
1) The Olympian by Sandra Bunino
2) Who's Been Naughty and Nice by Vanessa Deveraux
3) Faith's Gift by R. Brennan (This one reminded me of 50SoG.)
Anyone looking for a naughty read before bedtime, this is a nice one to have. I'd recommend to read one story a night for nine nights, it won't get kinkier than this.
