This is a stunning, gorgeous bible that is suitable for all ages. Each page is beautifully illustrated and the bible text is presented in easy to understand language suitable for all ages. There are photographs as well as famous painting depicting the verse as well as the regions where the stories are based. There is an "Understanding the Story" section for each story this illustrated book presents. Excellent bible for young and old alike. This beautiful bible is available in February.

It's easily readable, I liked the illustrations and also the educational historical input on each page. BUT there are some inaccuracies - like f.ex. on page 286 (in Czech mutation) it speaks about the first Christian martyr - the book says it was James, stoned to death (I really hope this is the right expression, because it doesn't sound right :) ), when in fact it was Saint Stephen in appr.36-40 [while James the Great, (also a martyr) was beheaded in 44].

There is something off-putting about it. I get the feeling the author doesn't believe the Bible is true. I probably would have read farther into it, but it had to go back to the library and it is MASSIVE. Obviously Bibles are large, but this (the library bound edition) is like a textbook.
