This is the fourth book in the bestselling series, Irish Kisses, written to fit perfectly within the bestselling, multi-author series, 1Night Stand.
Hot winter kisses to warm broken hearts...
Sick of tending to everyone else's needs around the holidays, divorced barmaid and granny, Sandra ferries it from London to Belfast for a long deserved break. All she wants for Christmas is some peace with a romance story in front of a roaring fire in a remote Irish castle.
What she gets instead is most unexpected -- a 1Night Stand date with a young Irishman chosen by Madame Evangeline. A well-meaning, heartfelt Christmas gift from all her friends at the Irish pub in London!
Can she hack it in the real world of romance or -- are life's complications and treacherous snowstorms best left to the pages of a book?
Once run as a hotel with his late wife, the stone building now serves as a home for him and his son. After hearing about Madame Eve's matchmaking skills, he contacts her in search of the perfect match.
Although much older than him -- by some fifteen years -- Sandra is his ideal woman. He'll be damned if a good story will get in the way of his happy-ever-after with her!
Hot winter kisses are all this couple needs to stay warm this Christmas, but will the heat stay long after the magical season of mistletoe has finished?
Holy Irishman I so want to go to Ireland after reading this Novella. Man oh man was this 1Night Stand to hot to handle. I loved all the descriptions and the hot time this couple spent together was incredible. I know some people say that age difference can be a downer in a relationship and yes women can be cougars but hot dam these two made it work!
Sandra is in London working and taking care of everyone around her. Her only peace and quiet is when she is able to lose herself in a good book. It is Christmas time and she wants to be loved but she can't seem to find anyone so her co-workers give her the gift of a lifetime a date with 1Night Stand by Madame Eve. She is not sure what she is getting herself into but she goes to Belfast anyways and there she is relaxing thinking about what could happen with this 1night stand. Can he give her what she needs or will her books be her lovers?
Ardan is a recent widow raising his son at the castle where he and his late wife ran as a hotel. Ardan is lonely and seeking companionship when he turns to Madame Eve and her 1Night Stand services. Madame Eve knows that Ardan and Sandra belong together even though there is 15 years age difference but once these two get together only time will tell. Will Ardan and Sandra be able to stay together after the hot kisses and night filled with passion ends? Will Sandra be able to put her books down and live in reality?
This had fewer copy editing issues than the previous stories but there were continuity issues. Kenrick again with the mistaken identity theme for the 1N Stand date that she used in book two. I'm not a fan of that device so I was happy that Sandra caught on quickly and figured it out. The overall story was sweet but the romance was rushed.

This was an amazing novella! It was fast paced, "awwww" inducing, and believable despite the whimsy and lack of time to get in a full story.
I loved the characters! Sandra is a feisty bibliophile who is fed up with her family taking advantage of her always being available, and decides to take some time for herself for the holidays by touring some castles and using a giftcertificate for a 1-Night-Stand date that her co-workers gave to her.
Ardan is a young widower and the owner of Ballygalley Castle. When Sandra, his intended 1-Night-Stand date, comes to stay for the night he realizes right off that she could be a great fit for him and makes a choice to hide the fact that he's the owner of the castle.
Despite their age difference there is definite chemistry between the two, and though things don't always go smoothly, and sometimes secrets can come to bite you, they ultimately work out in the end (those awww moments I spoke of earlier). :)
Hot Winter Kiss is a great holiday read that will definitely have you wishing for your own hot, young Irish Castle Owner, and I give it a well deserved 4 Skulls. :)
My only complaint was that there wasn't more. I loved these two and their story and I could have definitely immersed myself further in their romance and world.
"Hot Winter Kiss" is a nice fast paced novella that I wished was just a bit longer but a really good read as it is. JoAnne pens good hot chemistry in her characters that keep you wanting more. A must read for all adults that love that "awww" feeling.

I was unimpressed by this offering. Sandra made way too much about her age, then they just fell into bed together like she just hadn't been whining about her age! I didn't like the deception of the hero much either, and then all of a sudden he wants to keep dating her! Granted, I liked that they went on with a relationship, but overall the book just wasn't working for me.
Unusual story. An older woman (49) and a younger widower (33). He has a child the same age as her grandchild. I liked the chemistry between these two, but it ended too soon for me, I wanted more of their story.
