This is an amazing series of textbooks--the best in Spanish I've seen, and one of the best I've seen in any language for this level (Secondary). The grammar is especially well done, with color coded text and arrows pointing to referents. It is well-illustrated with digital photos. It is multifarious in its spectrum of lessons and activities. There are extra resources and exercises online.
There are a few minor criticisms. It has a slight political bias, like including Texas in a roll of Spanish-speaking countries, and one activity having students request government forms in Spanish. And some of the stories reinforce the cool kid/dumb parent motif, but not as badly as most American television.
