Works, such as the novels Crime and Punishment (1866), The Idiot (1869), and The Brothers Karamazov (1880), of Russian writer Feodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky or Dostoevski combine religious mysticism with profound psychological insight.
Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky composed short stories, essays, and journals. His literature explores humans in the troubled political, social, and spiritual atmospheres of 19th-century and engages with a variety of philosophies and themes. People most acclaimed his Demons(1872) .
Many literary critics rate him among the greatest authors of world literature and consider multiple books written by him to be highly influential masterpieces. They consider his Notes from Underground of the first existentialist literature. He is also well regarded as a philosopher and theologian.
The author, Dostoevsky, revels some important insight into how a positive person can see the world and how they're seen in it . The author's emphasis on Prince Myshkin being naive refers to him being an (idiot) really sheds light on how scary and cruel people can be. The author sets his work at the very beginning of the book. When he introduces the characters, you see how the prince thinks and acts. He's compassionate, benevolent, patient and forgiving. Unlike his counterpart, Parfyon Rogozhin, he is the opposite. He's implosive and violent. In my opinion, this book was 10/10, and I would like to read it again. To me, it seems it was obvious that he was trying to show how society was back in the 19th century Russia using themes of power and wealth. I feel like Dostoevsky was also going for the same theme. It's obvious that Rogozhin is after Anastassya Filippovna because he buys her lavish gifts when competing with Prince Myshkin financially. Myshkin isn't financially stable. After Rogozhin fails with the gifts, this chachter develops jealousy and anger towads him for being able to attract Anastassya Filippovna without having anything.
