While taking a vacation to the Congo river, boisterous local monkeys taunt poor Crocky from the safety of the trees. Despairing from the relentless teasing Crocky enlists the help of a local witch doctor who has an ingenious plan to deal with the monkey menace.
A disgustingly funny story, Snotty Crocky is both hilarious and simple in its execution of a tale about standing up to bullies.
A combination of read-along-verse by Papa G (Pedro The Ugliest Dog In The World) and illustrations by Carlos Patino which perfectly capture the humour of the story, Snotty Crocky is an excellent picture book for children to read along with their parents.
My son loved this and laughed at the bogey references, he found it hilarious that the crocodiles ate the monkeys at the end! Highly enjoyable and a bargain - well illustrated.
Why should we limit ourselves to the reviews of adults’ books? Children deserve to read reviews as well, and if not children parents with children, so they can make an informed decision on what kind of book to buy.
First of all, I bought this book to read with my sister, needless to say we both enjoyed it. It is all written in rhyme, which is a marvelous thing, for it makes any book a pleasure to read and does not dull and bore your brain the way prose does.
This is a heart warming tale of friendship and bitching (I’ve just made this review child-unfriendly, haven’t I?). A crocodile is on holiday in the Congo Jungle and due to his unfortunate allergy problems he gets taunted by a group of mean monkeys. Through the providential friendship with a local witch doctor, Snotty Crocky will overcome his difficulties.
This is a beautiful book, I would consider a must-buy for every child. It’s a beautiful story showing how friendship and a little brains can make the difference between being bullied and not. The ultimate message of this beautiful story is: ‘murder is your solution against bullies’.
-I realise I should have written this review in rhymes, unfortunately I am not as skilled as that, even though I am aware of being quite amazing.

It's a good book for children because it was a funny book and it can make kids laugh when they are sad. The children can figure out some rhyme, and the doctor helped the scotty croc.
The illustrations were well drawn and engaging, but the monkeys were almost scary. I liked the snot bubbles and I think kids would like The gross out factor. I wasn't super fond of the ending. I think maybe there could have been a better way to resolve the conflict.
