This summary, which is one of several I have read in the “30 minutes” series, very skillfully captures the highlights of Dr. Hyman’s program for treating overweight, obesity and the conditions that follow from those. If I want to put the program into practice, I’ll have to buy the book, but this summary gives me all the information I need in order to make that decision. Dr. Hyman asks for some pretty major lifestyle changes, but his program is initially only for six weeks—something most of us can manage. The rewards are potentially amazing. If you’re worried about diabetes, coronary artery disease and all sorts of related conditions, you might want to spend a short time with this “30 minutes” summary.
I know I am searching right now to balance my physical body and my really really stressful life and I know that an ingredient to accomplishing that is a holistic approach that combines healthy foods and a healthy lifestyle. Although the initial focus of "A Concise Summary of Mark Hyman MD’s Blood Sugar Solution" is on diabetes, the book largely addresses living a holistic lifestyle as means to controlling medical conditions like diabetes, but on a deeper level maintaining good health as a preventative measure against the plagues of our modern lives, precipitated by toxins, allergens, and processed foods. Helpful and insightful.
