Across Hayden's neck sat an ugly scar, a vivid reminder of what she'd become. She looked horribly wild, untamed, her eyes too bright and focused, like an animal. In order to keep her family safe from both herself and the enemies she attracts, Hayden must trade a life of normalcy for one of constant uncertainty and threat.
Expecting to find her place among others like her, she soon realizes that even among werewolves, she's an exception. Burdened with constant discrimination and falling into a dangerous attraction, Hayden must struggle to find her footing after being made a pawn in a game between two powerful Alphas.
Whenever Reese is able to unlock the ball and chain to her 8 to 5 desk job, she takes advantage of the solitary life of a crazy cat lady in order to indulge her creative side. Author of the Slayter Series (a working title), Reese Morgan is a strong enthusiast of the self-publishing venue who loves to read new authors. Not particularly gifted with social media or blogging, you can check her out on Goodreads for any updates through her blog or upcoming promotions. Un.Breakable will be the fourth installment to the Slayter Series with a debut in February 2017.
Thank you all for reading and following the Slayter Series! If there are any questions, feel free to message me! I would love to hear from you.
This was a great slow burn that had a lot of focus on shifter pack dynamics & I just love that shit. I’m so looking forward to reading more of Hayden & Cole‘s complicated relationship.
Talk about intense! I really enjoyed this book. Reese Morgan has started out with some really strong characters. I love Hayden, she is a Bad A** B****! in the making, a true Alpha Female! Cole is a strong Alpha Male without being overbearing and I love that. I am not sure if I like Blake or Fergus more but I like how they always stepped in at the right moment. And even Nathaniel is started to grew on me at the end.
I enjoyed Reese Morgan writing style very much. Her cliffhangers are done is a way that they flow together and are slowly reveal but yet still leave you with a cliffhanger! I recommend this book to those who love strong Alpha Female who are not afraid to stand up to a strong Alpha Male. I can't wait for book 2 to see how Hayden cold treatment toward Cole brings him to his KNEES!!
I have to say going in to this book thinking it was going to be real bad....BUT I was truly wrong. I was hooked from the beginning, so when I go in to reading a book and I cant get hook from the get go, I pretty much loose interest from it and stop reading. I think I will defiantly read this book again. I would say if you like werewolf books with a twist and a love story that's not all gooey, eye roiling, sickly sweet! and give some mystery, lot of surprises, and a good deal of action! *grinning* I like where the author is going. so I hope she keeps it up!!
I’m not usually a fan of third person writing but when it’s done we’ll, like in this book, I can really enjoy it. This book was written well, flowed nicely, and held a lot of twists. I’m thoroughly intrigued and already grabbed book two.
Hayden was attacked a few months ago and now she knows something is different with her. Things are changing in her body, and mind, and after meeting some strange men things get even more complicated. Hayden is a werewolf now. And she has no idea what to do with her life, and things are going to work out.
After joining alpha Cole, and his pack things get even more complicated for her. With other alpha's not wanting her around, and people within the pack also not accepting her she's having a hard time adjusting. Then she finds out more about Cole that just throws salt on the wound.
This book surprised me. It started out really good, and ended really good but with a cliffhanger. Hayden was a great heroine in this story. She was strong, but still trying to figure out how she was suppose to act. And she was also very smart.
I also loved how she treated the pack. The only thing I didn't like was how Cole acted. I really did not connect to him in this story. It was beyond frustrating, but that's really the only downside to this one.
What to say...hmm. Well it's Werewolves and who doesn't love a good Werewolves story. I loved it from the very first word. It had me on edge the whole way, i was like. "no" "omg" that can't happen and so forth. The action was good.I really liked "pretty boy" Asher. :) Hayden love her. With her fisetyness and how she was handed what happened to her. Being bittin by a rouge and all. She handle it well. She's strong and came into her own as the book went on. I loved how she stood up to those "traditional" Alphas. All the other characters clicked well and i loved them also. Excepte Devin. She got what she deserved. The little twit. Anywho, it was maginficent read and i will be heading on to book two to see what comes of the pack and Hayden's and Coles realtionship. (I think hes being a tad mean.) I highly recommand you read this, if Werewolves, strong female alpha and a Testy male alpah is your thing. Wont dissapoint.
Interesting. I don't have a strong opinion on this one. It had a good plot, and the characters kept me reading. However, the romance really frustrated me. I had no sort of satisfaction with the conclusion. There are two more books, so I will see if the next installment is better. Four glittery stars.
Teenage werewolf books... well there are a hundred and one to choose from, and I am glad I stumbled across this one. Quite a few teen werewolf novels aren't worth a second glance but I enjoyed this one. We join Hayden after she has received her life changing scars (the result of a vicious werewolf attack) a confused 'newborn' she tries to continue life as normal but soon she get noticed by the werewolf community and she joins a pack.
I think the thing which made this book for me was Morgan's ability to create deep characters full of personality. Although some of the minor character don't get much 'screen time' I felt as though I got a insight into their personalities. The only thing on this point is I would have liked a bit more interaction between Hayden and her mother, she has this one moment of homesickness but then she is just forgotten again.
There are some typical werewolf tropes, with a potential love triangle, a domineering, distant, young Alpha with secrets, a secret werewolf community with it's own political games and old fashioned views.
Un.Requited is full of mystery and a few murders making it a quick paced story full of well developed characters and budding relationships. The big question is which relationships will remain platonic and which will flower into something more?
Great start to the series. This book kept me interested throughout. Hayden is a strong female alpha so will be interesting to see how her relationship with Cole and to the pack develops or whether anything develops between her and Asher. Then you have Devin - the former female pack alpha. Without spoiling it - what has become of her and Joseph. Will be definitely reading the next one to find out what happens next. Highly recommend this series if you love a good werewolf story with plenty of action.
If you’re looking for something sexy and intimate, this book is not it. At 99% our leading couple kiss for the first time. It wasn’t that hot either. She’s really a weak character with no real attributes to contribute to the pack. Some unbelievable revelations and outcomes I find hard to accept. It had some fight scenes but over all I’m on the fence with whether to pick up this in the next book.
Nothing is really resolved and the bad guys always gets away. There’s the making of a three way love conflict. So in the end, meh.
Ok, so this was on a “can you find it I forget what it’s called” thread and am I ever grateful! I was intrigued and thought I would give it a try...skipped breakfast and lunch to absorb this book. Truly a great decision on my part. This was very well done in terms of character and world building. I’m excited to clear my schedule for book 2!
