A bead of blood is the fourth installment in R.E. Butler's Wonderful Wiccan-Were-Bear Series which see's Griegs, after two long years find a true mate in the beautiful & quite dangerous Sabrina.
R.E. has a wonderful way of drawing you into her world & I gotta tell you I loved being There, I seriously wish the Wiccan-were-bear books weren't so short! I love these characters & can't get enough of them! There like my furry family.
It wouldn't be a R.E. butler novel with out some really sweet & romantic moments mixed with some action, deviously hot sex scenes & actually Laugh out loud moments.

I love Greigs he is defiantly my favorite of the were-bear brothers (not that the others aren't major hotties!) but I'm a one man kinda girl & god Damn he's so panty melting hot and so very very naughty! *drools*

What a fun read! I got to see into the Vampire realm that has only been hinted at and more.
This erotica love story has a fantastic plot! I loved they way the Author brings the characters to life and then fills your mind with a need to know the characters better. She delivers that is for sure.

I've never read a were bear story before, wasn't sure if I would like it the same as a werewolf, but it was just a good and hot!
Sabrina is a true blood vampire and hunts rogue vamps, while on one job freeing caged were animals she feels a connection like she none she's felt before, for a big black furry bear! Of course Griegs turns out to be a handsome, sexy, warm and possessive in human form, and things move quickly.
This is only a novella so things move quickly and as with most pnr it's insta love! This is more a warm love story with other things going, it's not angsty and is an easy read.
I really liked the set up of a bear family, there were too many family members introduced for me to keep up with but as not intricate part of story didn't matter.
Some hot and sexy scenes in this book, couple of my favourite quotes.

This is book 5 in the Wicca-Were-Bear series. This story follows Sabrina, a Vampire and her new mate, Geigs. He is the brother of the Were-Bears in our previous stories. Sabrina is a Hunter, basically the Vampire police. She is sent to investigate a lot of missing supernatural creatures. What she finds is a Vampire called The Doc doing something so wrong the only answer is his death. What she also finds is her new mate, abused and held captive. With the help of the Wolf pack and a Demon named Red, they go in with teeth and claws to save the day. This story has been a good continuation of this world of shifters.

Vampires, demons, shapeshifters...can it get any better? This is yet another excellent book in the Wiccan/Were-Bear series. This fifth book has lots of funny moments interlaced with touching ones.

A vampire hunter falling for a were-bear? YES PLEASE. Sabrina is such a fierce, no-nonsense heroine, and Griegs is pure warm fuzziness wrapped in growls and redemption. Their dynamic felt fresh, fun, and totally swoony. I loved seeing Sabrina open up to love and home after years of isolation, and Griegs’ arc from shame to belonging was so satisfying. Plus, there were just the right amount of steamy, heart-melting moments to round it all out. Also—tent sex. Iconic.

Sabrina is a Vampire that hunts other Vampires. She takes care of the Vampires that are doing wrong. She is a born Vampire not a turned one. Sabrina and her demon friend Red are on a mission to find some missing were's. When the trail leads to a Vampire run, illegal were/human fighting ring, she breaks it up and finds Griegs. She knows that he is her one true mate.
Griegs disappeared after Elizabeth's collar didn't choose him. What he didn't intend on was disappearing for so long. He just went to think and got abducted. When he seen Sabrina in danger he found the strength to rip off the collar that prevented him from shifting to save her. She is his mate and he has to keep herself. He knows that he needs to talk to his family and make amends with Elizabeth and his brothers.
My opinion: I have been waiting for this book. I have been wondering what had happened to Griegs. This is the only book in the series so far where there is no ménage. I love Sabrina's character. I love a woman who can kick some butt. I like her reasoning for becoming a hunter and I think that it is great how quickly she is able to fit in with Griegs family. I feel that even though these are such short books the author still gives you enough for it to be a really good story. It is a whirlwind romance with some great intimate scenes. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone and I definitely suggest reading.

Lovely enjoyable and different story that flowed well and was a pleasure to read.
Another one of Elizabeth’s discarded lovers gets his HEA. That is a series on its own as she had so many on the hook at one time in book one.
Interesting turn of events and good to catch up with Griegs again, though it was horrible what has been happening to him.
Saved by Sabrina, a female vampire who is also a Hunter for the council, changes Griegs life totally.
Nice to pop in and visit with Mishka, cannot wait for his story.
I have owned this book for many years and have read and reviewed it a long time ago but reviews submitted from the back of books seem to be missing.

Vampire Sabrina Chalice is a hunter and her mission is stop a vampire-run, illegal were-animal fighting ring not to find herself suddenly head over fangs for a were-bear named Griegs in this mesmerizing paranormal romance.
There is never a dull moment in this fast paced and smooth flowing plot full of suspense, excitement and romance. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and bring the story to life and the well orchestrated suspense draws the reader deeper into the story while the strong, compelling characters ensure that the reader wants to know everything about their story.
Sabrina and Griegs attraction to each other leaps off the pages and capture the reader’s attention and the sex scenes are hot and steamy. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as we finally learn what happened to Griegs when he disappeared from the books in the first one.
I must say his story is well worth the wait, there is never a dull moment and it introduces new characters to tantalize readers with story possibilities. Griegs captured my heart with everything he went through but he is well rewarded for his pain and suffering with the perfect kick ass mate and I can’t wait to read the next book.

I did enjoy the story. I thought there should have been more to The Doc than there was. That was kinda too quick even for me. I mean it was at the very beginning of the book and that was all the conflict there was until the very end when Griegs actually becomes a Hunter like Sabrina and goes out to settle a vampire dispute. Their story was sweet and predictable. She was pretty much all in so no conflict between her and Griegs at all. Not that I wish for conflict but its nice that sometimes it just isnt so easy and she makes him work for it a little ha. I sorta wanted her to be more feisty to match him a little more. He's a dominant bear of course I guess I assumed she would at least be a little like him in regards to her being a deadly Hunter and all. I dont think there was ever a time she disagreed with him. Not the best of the series but pretty good.

A vampire that works with a demon to hunt down rogue vampires. She, the vampire, happens to save a were-bear whom happens to be properly scented to be her beloved. They fall in love, fight together, something else that starts with an f and ends with a k together, and his family just adores her. It is a really cute novel, skipping the graphic bits as I tend to do. I do not really like all of the religious aspects, heavy into symbolism and Wicca traditions, but the basic story is cute. Happy I finished this, and probably will not read more in the series.

A were-bear was being held captive and being forced to fight for his life when a woman who is a vampire and also his mate rescues him and the other captives. She helps get reunited with his family and his den.
I really love this series. Its so hot and erotic to read. The story line is great, love how the family is so close to each other.

Whenever I pick up a R.E. Butler book, I know I'm going to have a great time reading it. I'm almost guaranteed that it's a book I'll re-read also. This book was no exception. I loved it as much as all the others. I'm really liking the world of the bears and I'm so glad I got a chance to read about Grieg's story which I had been looking forward to.

Now we know where all of the Stalking Horse siblings are . This is an action packed read about Greig being rescued and finding his beloved. This story had violence and a lot of hot loving between a bear and a vampire. As usual, this another fun entertaining quick read. Enjoy I did.
