Rate this book
Forensic auditor Jean Willis is excited to be in Thailand. Not only is she traveling for the first time, she’s going to meet the perfect man–perfect on paper at least. Clark Peterson and his company are poised for greatness. But when she and scientist George Liew arrive at Clark’s rubber plantation, she discovers that Clark is more than a column of numbers. Even as she struggles with the climate of the tropics, the heat between her and Clark steadily rises. As they draw closer, however, George finds time to work on the real reason for his visit.

Hazel and her husband stopped being separate people years ago. They live their happy life in the always crowded, mostly sunny, and sometimes sweltering city of LA. Though they haven’t managed it yet, plans are afoot to add a kitty to the household, thereby giving the allergist fits.

Hazel has been writing full-time for several years, with some traditionally published work in other genres. But it’s her indie-published romance that fuels the creative fire. It turns out writing isn’t a job, it’s an obsession.

When you can pry Hazel’s fingers from the laptop, you’ll find her: on the elliptical watching a documentary, indulging her audiobook habit, or spending quality time with Candy Crush. Although she’s vegan, she’s a disaster in the kitchen. Luckily, potato chips and pinot noir come ready-made.

THE REASON
I chose to read JUNGLE FEVER because it was a Kindle freebie and also because it said "forensic auditor" -- and I had no idea what that meant. So, I was intrigued...

THE PLOT
Jeanne Willis, a forensic auditor, is thrilled when she is asked to accompany George, her employee, to Thailand for a huge job involving an innovative rubber plantation. She has spent considerable time looking into the numbers behind Clark Peterson and his astonishing business, but none of this could have prepared her for meeting the man in person. But things go dangerously off kilter when George begins to reveal the REAL reason behind the visit to Thailand...

MY THOUGHTS
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this story. The cover made me a bit hesitant to give it a shot, because I expected it to be all sex and no plot, but there was hardly any sexual action in this book yet -- AND, the whole plot involving the rubber plantation was far interesting enough to stand on its own anyways. The story was well written and the author definitely has me interested in continuing the series -- although, I admit I'm mostly interested to see what happens with George!

MY RECOMMENDATION
This was a pretty quick read and it will definitely have appeal, at least in his installment, beyond what you'd expect from the cover. Even if you, like myself, are not a reader who is drawn to the overly lusty cover, I'd still recommend giving it a chance if you like a bit of romantic intrigue.

THE VERDICT
I'm glad I found it on Amazon and it was worth the time I put into reading it!

Well this was a bit of a scam since it started as a full length novel and ended abruptly after a few chapters = to be continued... So it's not a novella , it's just a few chapters out of an actual book... Nothing erotic happens in these few chapters....
