Programmed to live: Young and Able

Rate this book
We often ask questions such as why do many young people lack aspiration and are not interested in furthering their career and education needs; when western society offers one of the best accessible life options and opportunities - often free? Why do we have a generation of disengaged youth and troubled families, who have developed a detachment from mainstream society, with total disregard for authority and social norms? Why do we have to put so much effort in our personal relationships, yet, end-up still feeling as failure? When did our best stop being enough and how did we loose our identity?

Whilst we pass blame from politicians to parents, schools and our modern lifestyle, the attitude of the affected had remained the fundamental problem hindering efforts to improve their lives. This book is all about generating a new mindset, one that encourages people to take ownership of their own lives, regardless of their personal circumstances and social background.

This book is neither trying to re-invent the wheel of common morality, self-belief, motivation, nor aspiration; it is merely reminding readers that the wheel is still out there and functional. All the topics within are not new concepts or panacea to all human ills, it is about rekindling the values we already knew, but have not always remembered.

Programmed to live: Young and Able is intended to inspire, motivate, remind and provide the reader with broad life-changing tips, including self-knowledge, goal setting, mentoring, building confidence, faith uplift, respect for self and others, hope and how to set life goals, plus many more that are relevant to their everyday life. It also focuses on aspiration, positive thinking, how to handle life’s challenges and encourages the reader not to be restricted by self-imposed limitations. You should not set limits to what you can do or achieve in life because there are no limitations to your dreams.

This publication is aimed at young adults/ teenagers and their parents, those working with disengaged people, social workers, anyone who is going through relationship difficulties, hardship and other personal life challenges. Simply, there is something for everyone within this book.
