Any readers of the pulps of 1930's-40's knows that heroes , the Shadow, The Spider(New York was laid to waste in each issue), Doc Savage, would face villains bent on conquest, seizing unlimited wealth and seem to just blood crazy. But it is Operator 5 faced a series of villains that used U.S as one vast battlefield. This excellent 63 page overview of the pulp details on our hero, his helpers, enemies and the epic 13 issue story of the Purple Invasion-were the Purple Empire invades the East Coast and over the 13 issues push the US Army to the Rockies, conquers Canada, and all patriots face death. But America's last hope is Operator 5 and he will win!
