The LOVE Walk: A 15 - Week Devotional on 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Rate this book
"The LOVE Walk" is a fifteen week devotional created to encourage and support you in your love walk. Each devotional focuses on a different characteristic of love as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8:

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails...."

Each chapter includes an encouragement, a prayer, verses to meditate on, and one verse to memorize to support you in your love walk. Additionally, at the end of each chapter there are questions to reflect on for personal evaluation or group study.

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13

First things first…we ALL need to truly LOVE God and one another….I know without a doubt if we would ALL (including myself) would love others like we love ourselves this world would be so very different. We are ALL so wrapped up in loving ourselves that All others are forgotten….This is so very sad and I can only imagine how God feels….HE must be a very sad and a broken heart. I know, when I do or think about things I do and say I am ashamed….How do I let myself get this way is beyond me.It is a waste of energy and does nothing good.
As I said earlier I have been blessed by Amanda’s books before and this one is no different…This devotional is filled with LOVE from GOD….It really is the ONE LOVE that is true!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DEVOTIONAL TO EVERYONE YOUNG, OLD and All Others…and to be shared and re-read often!!!!!!!

"The Love Walk" by Author Amanda Beth is a wonderful 15 week devotional that uses 1 Corinthians chapter 13 as the guide to help you learn more about what love really looks like. Each week has a prayer, scriptures to memorizes and questions to answer. I enjoyed reading this and taking the time to think about how to be a more loving person. Can't wait to start on her next devotional "You Can have a Happy Family".

This was an okay devotional but not really one that can be stretched out to 15 weeks (unless you only want to read a devotional once a week). It had some good thoughts and nice stories about living out the Love Chapter, but nothing amazing.

YES! This is exactly what a devotional book should be, at least in my opinion. She started off with the verse (or part of a verse) for the day (I read it as a 15 day devotional, instead of the 15 weeks that she did), and then used personal examples and scriptures to reflect how we can exemplify that verse. There was also a prayer for the day (week), as well as 4 different scriptures relating to the reading, which she encouraged us to pick one to memorize. Then, she asked a question about what we learned in our 'love walk'.
Application, encouragement to delve more deeply into God's word, questions about how we're doing along the path . . . I don't think a devotional can get much better than this! This is one that I will likely refer to again and again and again! :)
