Just like an individual story, a series has a certain rhythm as well, and the Orgasmic Texas Dawn series is a good example. In book 1, we got to know the characters, Kieran the Canadian ex-undercover cop, and Jubilee the Texan Marshal; they solved a case together and there were hints for more. In book 2 their relationship and the problems deepen, and in volume 3, three-quarters into their story, it is crisis time. The proverbial you-know-what hits the fan, chaos ensues, and it is action and mayhem almost from the first page. What a wild ride!
Kieran may have thought he was done with undercover work, but it is his first love, and he gets back into it with a vengeance. An undercover drug ring is not a joking matter, though, and Jubilee wasn't the only one worried about him! Interestingly, he does manage to make his way back to Jubilee – eventually…
Jubilee has a lot to deal with in this book. Not only is Kieran suddenly gone from his life, back undercover, but the issues in Lone Trail pile up as well. Let me warn you: it gets brutal. The crime ring that began in book 1 widens further, and the consequences and implications, as well as what goes on, will leave you reeling.
The supporting characters continued to impress me, and the highly entertaining banter between Kieran and Jubilee is back as well. If you're looking for the hot continuation of the story, if you want even more unique characters and new criminals to catch, then you need to get this book (definitely to be read in sequence).

I received a copy of this book from the authors for a donation I made to a charitable project they worked on. I got to choose two books and I chose this one and the sequel. There was no expectation for any kind of review, let alone a positive one.
This one was so much better than the previous one. I really liked it a lot. The story was good, everything made sense, there were a couple of twists, the peril was perfect, the emotions between the MCs were excellent and Jubilee wasn't quite so over the top. (They still were way too careless for supposedly keeping him closeted, though.) The story was much more gritty and dark, and the way a cop undercover is portrayed was excellent. (FYI, the dark haired guy on the cover is not Kieran who has hair past his shoulders when the story begins.)
Warning for those who hate menage:
I absolutely love, love, love that Jubilee isn't skinny and jokes about having to easy up on the junk food. But I really hate how they go on and on about Cecil's obesity as if that was one of the reasons he's a horrible person.
Whele there's a bit of another freakin' cliffhanger at the end, it's in an epilogue and more like the type in Cut & Run where the story is over and then something happens which is basically a teaser for the next book. So the story itself isn't a cliffhanger, Although they didn't quite explain how it all would work.
I wish the others were out! A.J. says they'll be re-released in the next few months, but I want them now. I seriously would buy the whole series at once.

My two favorite men in law enforcement are back in this third installment of the wildly exciting 'Orgasmic Texas Dawn' series. Once again, I'm thrilled that the story picks up almost immediately after the end of the previous book. So now I had even more intrigue, more twists and turns, more betrayal, deceit, and lies. Super exciting!
Kieran and Jubilee, are in Montreal, Canada, trying to track down a guy in witness protection who slipped his leash. Of course, it's not that simple. This guy switched identities with his fraternal twin so his brother could continue running the drug cartel in Dallas. Man, there is some craziness going on in these stories and I really like it! Kieran doesn't plan on returning to Texas when they catch this fugitive. He's been contacted by his former boss to return to the Vancouver Narcotics Squad and that's what he wants to do. He knows Jubilee will never come out of the closet and he doesn't want to live somewhere where they think you need an exorcism if you're gay. *rolling eyes* Jubilee, to say the least, is not happy about this decision, but he also isn't willing to come out. Trouble in paradise, indeed!

Very hard this third book, Kieran pass from heaven to hell and I with him, saw how intensely emotional is the plot. Now I really curious to know how Kieran and especially Jubilee will make . Then there is ever the fantastic writing od Manly and Llewellyn so realistic and exciting. I'm sorry for this little review but I could only repeat same words because Orgasmic Texas Dawn series is amazing fantastic and I adore the protagonists

4.5stars This series continues to amaze! It has it all-action (check), romance (check), great writing (check), a great storyline (check). It's a total page turner, thrill ride, OMG I can't believe that just happened, I need to go to bed cause I've gotta go to work in the morning but I'm just gonna read one more chapter kinda book! Please read responsibly!! :-)

This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Jubilee and Kieran are on the trail of Reggie Jones, both men knowing that when the case is over they have to go their separate ways. Kieran throws himself into the undercover world to bring down another drug cartel, a case which nearly kills Kieran and ends up taking him back to Jubilee. Jubilee goes back to life in Lone Trail and getting his office sorted but he is soon on the trail of a man who is one of the Marshal’s most wanted, the tip coming from Dillon DePriest and the sighting was in Eva’s brothel.
This story continues where Longing ended, Jubilee and Kieran both admitting their love but unable to compromise, separating when the case of Reggie Jones ends and eventually crossing paths again as Kieran shuts down another drug cartel. The path to love is never easy but when you throw in living in two different countries, high stress jobs and undercover assignments it gets to be a sticky mess where it begins to look worse than hopeless… especially when Jubilee discovers just what lengths Kieran goes to, to get to the top boss.
Ah D.J. Manly and A.J. Llewellyn have brought us an exciting, dangerous, tension filled story that draws you in and as you progress through the book, you see actions and reactions and wonder if our two hot law enforcement officers will ever get their happy ending. We find out more about Kieran’s father and we also see a hell of a lot of just what Kieran has to go through when he goes undercover, we see Jubilee struggling to accept Kieran’s role and we see both men in their elements as they work their cases. Will Kieran and Jubilee ever find a way to be together or will they continue to torture themselves on the love that slipped away and hope that the pain will ease with time.
This story isn’t one to miss if you love involved cop stories, although the first two books focused on Reggie and his drugs, this one branches out so we see more of what the Marshal’s and the Canadian Narc’s do so we see more cases, and, I can see that there will be a lot of cross over between the American and Canadian law enforcement before Kieran and Jubilee finally get a bliss filled happy ending. We do get the beginning of a happy ending but it gets interrupted in a most shocking fashion, damn and blast those authors.
So in all honesty if you love crime, hot Marshal’s, sexy detectives, interesting cases, finding and losing love, struggling for understanding, danger and an ending that will leave you muttering about evil authors and their torture methods then this is the book for you.

A Joyfully Jay Review
Slow Dance is the third book in the Orgasmic Texas Dawn series by A.J. Llewellyn and D.J. Manly. The books are written to be read in order, otherwise you’ll just be confused.
I have mixed feelings about this series. I like Kieran and Jubilee more in this book than I have in the previous installments, but therein lays one of my problems with the entire series. Jubilee’s character is not consistent at all. Finally, Jubilee is not a whiny, clingy mess, which was my biggest problem in the last book. He is finally accepting who he is. Kieran remains the better developed, better written character, this time struggling with the separation between him and Jubilee. I’m finally okay with the characters. I can only hope that they will continue along this path and find some sort of consistency.
The procedural drama/mystery of this story is more intriguing to me than the romance side. The three cases that play out in this book are exciting and intriguing. But again, the romance falls flat for me. I can’t figure out why Kieran and Jubilee are even in love. When they’re alone all they do is have sex. I’ve yet to see them spend any real time together, outside of work, in which they get to know each other. I’m sure it has to be there, but I’d like a scene or two of actual conversation without the sex. One thing I do like in this story is the arguments and doubt that surround their relationship once Kieran returns. It shows that they actually have something worth fighting for.
The writing still doesn’t gel very well for me. There’s a lot of repetition of the description of scenes that only happened in the previous chapter, as if the authors are trying to remind the readers of what they just read six paragraphs earlier. It’s frustrating and annoying. And the dialogue, especially within the romance storyline, tends to be cheesy.
I’m trying to give this series the benefit of the doubt, but there’s a lot of doubt. Thankfully, this installment was marginally better than the last one. I say if you want to read it, then do, but be sure to read all of the books in order. Hopefully, the books will continue to get better.

This book was a little darker than r=the previous with Kieran being undercover. my biggest peeve was that all the resolutions to the problems happened off paged and then were relayed to the reader rather than having the reader experience the action. When Kieran and Jubilee were together they were hot, but much of the book had them apart.
That being said, I love them as a couple and want to read the next book!

What I really liked about this book is the growing intensity between Kieran and Jubilee. Even staying apart for long months didn't get to make a crack in that which made me really happy. The only regret I have is the sudden change in the character of Dillon Depriest. In first book, he really gave me a feeling of a loyal family man but this one totally ruined that image and it was really shocking

Their story is told in Orgasmic Texas Dawn, Longing, Slow Dance, and Last Dance. You should plan to read all four as they don't manage their HEA until the end of the fourth book.
