Don't get me wrong, this is a lovely book. Miles seems enthusiastic and encouraging. The book itself was just the right size and featuring pictures of every recipe but for me, it fell short. I'm not into frying doughnuts and it's much easier to find recipes for fried donuts just about everywhere in classic or ethnic cookbooks so I was hoping that this book about just doughnuts would have baked options. It did-4 of them-but they were similar to the other baked doughnut recipes I already had hence the low rating. A bit unfair? Maybe but I have a doughnut pan I'd like to use in more varied ways.
