This module lays out the principles, history and practical application of churches engaging globally. In this module you will see why it is essential for a church that reflects God's character to engage with his global mission. Having laid this foundation, the module will then take you through how churches have done this in the past as well as analyzing the present state of "world missions" before exploring how you might engage with what God is doing in the world.

Great introduction to the idea of Global Mission. The early chapters begin by setting the idea of global mission in the light of the Biblical narrative. The middle chapters then begin to tell the story of the history of the missionary movement before finally offering an analysis (and critique) of the current state of world missions, and some helpful ideas about how local churches can move forward.

This generated some really good discussions at New City about how to move from simply supporting missionaries to true partnerships. Looking forward to seeing some of the fruit from these discussions over the next few years.
