The book sets out the facts and the implications of these facts about Jesus Christ. It calls the reader to consider Christ and His claims as well as calling them to faith in or rejection of Him.

It's an ideal book to give to someone who is asking questions or wants to learn about Jesus. I have already ordered two extra copies to be able to lend to people.

Michael Green is an author well worth reading.

Excellent. One of my favorite theologians, and a gifted writer. This book is quite concise, but filled with thoughtful, reasoned ideas and arguments. This fast-moving, highly readable book introduces Jesus of Nazareth honestly and openly, with no prior knowledge assumed.

This book takes a close look at the life of Jesus, diving not only to what he did for us but also his character. Personally the first two chapters on the character of Jesus were my favorite. When talking about the love that Jesus shows Michael Green described it as,
“love is what you find at its quintessential in Jesus. Not the watered-down parody of love we see on the films, but strong, deathless love of God himself. Nobody taught about it like Jesus. Nobody embodied it like he. It all springs, he maintained from the God who so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son so that those who believe in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
In a world that is both obsessed and confused on what true love looks like, this book shines. Showing how Christ embodies true, perfect love more then anyone else ever could.

The rest of the book is a great book to hand to someone is interested in Christianity, but they have doubts or other things holding them back, or anything of that sort. Green does a great job of saying, you don’t need to have all the answers to every question about Christianity, you just need to lay those down at the feet of Jesus and trust him. The answers will come in time. This is, for sure, worth a read.

A refreshing read on who Jesus truly is that will leave you more encouraged and confident in your faith. I love that this author didn’t crowd this book with bible verse references! It read like an textbook, point blank no questions asked. Will definitely recommend to my bible study girls!

The only thing I don't like about this book is the cover. Creepy. Not the Jesus I chat with everyday.

Simple in a good way, thought provoking, and well written. Took away a lot in my walk of faith from this book!

Frankly, I was expecting something different. It wasn't a bad book but the whole time I felt like I was reading a (well) written church sermon. Definitely has some interesting and valuable information, but looks at the topic from a biased Christian perspective rather than a non-religious glimpse into the life of Jesus; which is what I was looking for.
