This book addresses eight key relationships that 11-14 year-old girls encounter: themselves, God, church, friends, parents, boys, non-Christians and the world. Each chapter looks in detail at the different relationships, clearly showing what the Bible teaches, as well as ideas on how to practically live this out in their day-to-day lives. The books challenges girls to keep Jesus at the centre of every relationship as they keep living for Him.
Sarah Bradley trained as a Primary School teacher and has been a church youth worker for over 10 years. Much of her work has been with 11-14 s including weekly church based groups, CPAS ventures and the Keswick Convention. This book grew from a desire to put a Bible-centred and practical book into the hands of 11-14 year old girls and help them to think through different relationships in order to help them grow into godly women. She would have loved to have had a book like this when she was that age.
Well it's the good book company so you know it is going to be short to the point of wondering sometimes why they bother, this one though did have som relevant things to say, and was quite good. It isa marketed towards the teen, and in particular the teen girl, but apart from the examples, the principles to follow in life apply to all of us and this was still relevant. Still it would have been nice to have more and again the Good Book Company leaves me a little disappointed and wondering if good should be changed to slightly above average book company.
