This short story intimates and captivates. A bonded pair of female seers and a lone woman bounty hunter in the High Desert is just the start of an interesting and fascinating connection for these three women. The two seers have chosen their guardian and oh so much more. I found this to be a beguilingly intricate and tender dance while danger often hovered nearby in the background. Wonderfully intriguing and subtlety arousing!

Juniper Alter is a bounty hunter, second class. She often elicits awe, fear, and sometimes loathing. There are some delightfully fascinating magical and mysterious talents that Juniper utilizes to accomplish her bounty hunter duties that really added a wonderful component to Juniper and this world. Nevertheless, what she was not expecting were two persistent and tenacious women dogging her every movement and placing themselves in danger. Juniper had a case to solve and did not need unwanted onlookers!

Dahlia and Asher are seers, incredibly beautiful, persistently seductive, and remarkably tenacious. The entire issue of there being two seers, from the same village no less, is an ongoing mystery. Juniper certainly intends to get to the bottom of that issue. There is something wonderfully mysterious, compelling, and very loving about these two women. Amazing!

This story lays the groundwork for a promising future that certainly holds something new for Juniper. It is sealed with a special kiss just before midnight on New Year's Eve. The imposing bounty hunter may very well be receiving the answer to her wish and the two seers whose origin story was quite fascinating seem to have evolved, matured, and are now ready to be all that is needed for their home village. I was totally captivated and charmed. A winner and over just a tad too soon! Beautiful!
