Sixteen years ago, a senseless act of violence left a young girl orphaned and in the hands of relatives who cared about nothing but her money. After running away at age sixteen, Tate Carrin was forced to reinvent herself and build a new life away from everyone and everything she'd ever known. Vowing to never rely on anybody, especially a man, Tate was stunned at her reaction to Cameron, a young major league pitcher. What will shock Tate further is Cameron's connection to her past and who she used to be.

This was a very good and emotional book. Saving Tate is about Victoria Tate Carrington who had a very bad childhood. There is talk of child sexual abuse for those who may not want to read about that. Cameron is a baseball player who step in one night to help Tate when an ex of hers showed up and was becoming aggressive.

Now they fell in love very fast. In fact Tate revealed all about her childhood in about a weeks time. Fell in love about that time too. In fact the whole relationship jumped to many levels very fast. Almost way to fast. But what saved it I think was the moments that Tate would loose it and then snap Cam for trying to help. That made it more real. The nightmares as well. Overall this was an easy read. I hated to put it down. It was sweet and emotional. Kinda over the top at times and cheesy but I kinda loved that when there were so many bad memories coming to the surface. Hope there will be a book about Mallory and Denny.

I really wanted to like this book more but I just couldn't get past a few things. The love is really quick, like quicker than most things I've read before. Usually, I don't mind a we-fell-in-love-in-a-week type stories but this just felt like it was impossible. . Again, I really did want to like this because I do like these types of story lines with the hero basically coming in to save the day. The aspect of this that I did like more than the others was the suspense component. It was kind of obvious but still well done. A little bit more closure would have been nice though. For instance, what happened with the whole car brakes thing? I'm not sure if I'll read more in the series but I will consider it because I do see potential.
